The Several Fates

The Several Fates
Alien

Shortly after packing his belongings, Ava headed towards Eldo's tent which was on the north side of the guard. Not too far, just a few feet.

Ava walked swiftly. The shoes he was wearing reflected dust when they touched the dry ground. I hate travel, Ava's inner grumbling.

While passing through the bushes right behind the tent, Ava slowed her pace. He's setting his mind.

How am I supposed to deal with it after that bumbling incident? that was the first thing he was worried about right now. After that, there is a problem about the journey of hunting people who he himself does not know who and where.

Then Ava looked towards Eldo's tent. With a steady step followed by a sigh, he headed there. The dry grass he stepped on made a noise. Food waste is starting to show up.

Ava gulps. A few steps later Eldo was seen beside the tent. He didn't realize Ava was coming. His back turned to Ava, he was sitting and working on something.

“What do you make?” asked Ava while walking over.

Eldo turned his face, looking towards Ava. Smile them. Proudly he said, “As yours isn't it?” It was a catapult, but not yet fully so.

Glug. Ava recalled her father's catapult that she had not used for a long time. “What wood did you make it from?”

“Emm, I don't know. I just found it over there,” while pointing at the bushes behind him. Nearby was a large tree.

“Oh, it skirts,” Ava recognize the tree. Then he approached Eldo and sat to his right.

Ava watched as Eldo finished his catapult. “You know, skirt is not a tree that is suitable for making catapults. The wood is more pliable and it's good to make a bow?” continued after a few pauses.

“Hehe.. You're right,” Eldo scratched his head as usual. “Oh, aren't you leaving now? Don't forget to let you know that you found it!”

“Yayaya.” Ava nodded slowly. It seemed that Eldo did not care much about the incident earlier. “Then I go now.”

“Hemph.. faster, better. Be careful on the road,” that's what Eldo said as farewell.

“Oh yes, you have sent word to headquarters right?” ask Ava after a few steps.

“Yes, I will say later,” Eldo replied without taking his eyes off his work.

Ava stepped away, towards the endless loose land. He looked back at me once. This time he was completely alone. Will he be okay. Maybe that's not what he's worried about. Will Eldo be fine if he leaves. That's just a problem.

But not all this time Ava has underestimated Eldo. Before this mission with Ava, Eldo was always alone. He also looks stupid when communicating with others.

All of that was probably due to the mind-reading ability he had. He doesn't want people to know that he can read minds. People may find it strange and dangerous.

Ava really wanted to ask that question. But not now, maybe the meeting is coming. He was curious, but he held back that feeling.

“Thy arrive too..” Ava reached her camp. He's very relieved.

Behind the boulders and the dry bushes ahead is where Ava's campground is located. It is very hidden but can be easily found by Ava herself. Another bit.

The mask he used was cleaner. The brownish stains were gone, there were only a few black spots left.

Xizu does give a mark that is difficult to remove. Even after a few times. That was why he was so disappointed that he forgot to bring the cleaning liquid.

The rain that happened suddenly earlier did indeed give a tremendous blessing. But why in the middle of the desert and hot weather like that there can be rain. That's a weird thing.

But all of that can be attributed to the appearance of a black figure. Maybe it was he who made the rain. Whatever it was, Ava felt really helped. Now he can drink. Even he had a shower – with stealth of course.

Ava walked with a happy feeling mixed in anxiety. Hoping that the figure had not decided to kneel him and wanted to cut off his head.

Arriving at the front door of the tent, the wind began to subside. Ava immediately pulled the tent zipper and entered it. At least he's safe from the dust now.

His shoes came off, and he took his backpack with him to the corner of the tent. He grabbed a bottle of water from inside the backpack, carrying it towards the middle of the tent. Gulp it a few times, then put it next to the pole.

Heaven. ah, tent! He took off his dull robe and threw it on the backpack. Then he broke himself. One of the top buttons on his shirt he took off. Sweat still wet his skin.

“Maybe that figure was the one I was looking for,” Ava muttered. “He is obviously not of the Angel race, he is just similar. Wait a minute..” immediately he picked up the book that was in the backpack.

“He had four wings, two like birds and two like bats,” he said while doodling books, he was drawing the figure. “No way,” Ava stopped for a while, her hand shaking holding a pen, “she's an Alien!”

Ava flinched in amazement. His mouth was gawking, his eyes were wide. Slowly the shabby-looking face turned into a carefree like a child being given a new toy.

That is why most people just think of it as a made-up fairy tale. Four-winged race, uh, it's just a fantasy, fantastic. He could be a contributor to historical stories that can change people's views.

“Maybe I have to notify headquarters.. I have to!”

The air in the tent is cooling. Ava took back her robe and put it on. The light out there dimmed, indicating the second sun had reached its time of rest.

Slowly Ava opened the tent and went out to look around. Clouds began to cover some parts of the sky. They're scattered.

Time to go, Ava thought. He decided to return to the guard post. Only there's a tool to communicate with the base there. He started packing his things. Knock down his tent and pack it. He's ready to go, heading south.

Ava couldn't wait to tell Eldo all of his experiences over the past month. Ava hopes Eldo stays there. About what he does?

The night began to dissolve and the months were already installed in the sky completely. Ava departs in kensunyian. The mask is just hanging on the neck. At night like this he does not have to worry about dust and xizu.

Several times Ava rubbed both her palms. A little warmth felt as he did that. He did not feel nearly two hours walking and tiredness perched on his body.

I need a break. He was trying to find something to visit; a tree, a bush, or something.

Still in a state of walking, Ava saw in front there was a place. I think that place suits him. He rushed there. Take quick and steady steps.

“Huih.. until finally,” immediately Ava sat down and straightened her legs. Not forgetting he put his backpack. A sense of relief was arising on his shoulder. Today is my lucky day! Hope so.

“Sssstttt!” suddenly something came from behind, a small hissing sound.

Quickly, Ava stood up and held the handle of her sword. He's alert. Could it be the Alien he had encountered? The hissing was heard again, this time several times.

Ava started to wonder. With careful steps he approached the source of the sound. Deviation but surely while installing his hearing well. Ava gulped, she was a little nervous.

Maybe it's just an ordinary animal, but it shouldn't be off guard. In the wild, anything can happen. Predators can be preyed upon, depending on who is stronger and prepared.

The push of his feet to the ground made a noise. Makes Ava nervous. There was no sweat coming out of Ava's body, she realized. But where?

A few seconds later, and there was no sound other than a light breeze. This is suspicious, Ava thought.

I've been framed! Unfinished he fiddled with his thoughts in tension, suddenly a growling sound rang out from his right side. It was so hard that Ava was shocked.

With a flash Ava turned her back, ready to accept the impromptu attack. A whooshing sound rang out as he whipped out the sword that was always on his hips.

Ava saw the creature, big and burly. The creature jumped violently will pounce on Ava. Four large claws are of course not just a strong embedded decoration on each foot of the creature.

Ava dodged it even though she felt it was a little late. It was only a meter away, and Ava managed to avoid the sand wolf's safety.

He took a short breath, grateful perhaps not on the first attack he died. His left hand felt sore, just above his unprotected elbow. A few drops of blood dripped onto the ground.

Hmh! Ava grimaced, trying to endure the pain. There was no time to treat it now, a follow-up attack was about to come. And before that happens, he has to do something.

Face one on one? It feels like just killing yourself. This is not the type of fight he can win.

Ava looked around, trying to find a gap even though it was as big as dust though. There are only two ways out of that place. One on the right where the sand wolf appeared and one on the left. Dull cliffs fortify the place, surrounding but not completely besieging.
