Can't Stay Silent

Their souls were bound to each other by a black thread as if it should be locked in that place forever. How there is no pain from the gaze of those innocent children.

They were promised something happy, but in the end they were made as offerings to the demon king.

“A-what has happened here?” Kai even stuttered when he said it.

“We are really very late,” Ansel watered with increasingly heavy tears soaking his face.

“Ma-forgive us,” said Jayden full of regret, he even kowtowed before the spirits of innocent children.

Vernon was no longer able to speak, he turned his gaze away from the sight of the spirit of the boy who was staring at them full of sadness. If only he had realised it sooner then none of this would have happened.

Moreover, now Vernon's eyes won the spirit of his companion who was ordered to follow Edwin. Vernon's cry broke even more, repeatedly saying an apology to his companion's spirit because of his order he had to be killed in that place.

Suddenly two figures that felt familiar to them instantly appeared before them. Who else if not the Angel of Death and Lord Hades who came to pick up the spirit of the sacrificial offering.

Jayden ignored the existence of two figures who were clearly going to do their job. Jayden again pulled out his sword, intending to break the rope that remembered the innocent children.

“Do it, after that we will take them directly,” said Mr. Hades with a face that can not be interpreted.

“You already know that this incident will happen, right?” jayden asked without looking at the two creatures in front of him, instead he focused his gaze on the spirits of children who were staring at him full of pain.

“Of course, because our job is to arrange for people who will leave the world,” replied Mr. Hades calmly.

“Why don't you guys save them!”

Jayden's emotions can no longer be controlled, he unconsciously snapped at Hades and the Angel of Death.

Just imagine, just yesterday he lost his beloved Grandfather and today he has to watch innocent children being made sacrificial offerings to resurrect the creatures that caused his Grandfather's death.

“Anyone cannot control the age and life that has been predestined! Our job is to deliver only those souls who leave this world where they should be,” the Angel of Death hopes Jayden and his friends can understand.

“We are not allowed to interfere in the destiny of human life! We hope you can understand,” added Mr. Hades.

Jayden and the others fell silent at once upon hearing Taun Hades and the Angel of Death's explanation.

While wiping away the rest of his tears, Jayden then slowly began to swing his sword which increasingly had a more radiant aura than before.

As soon as Jayden's sword-eye touched the rope that bound the spirits of the innocent children, the rope slowly began to disappear and the children's spirits were freed. Jayden slowly approached the group of children's spirits and knelt before him.

“I'm sorry, Brother! Because it's too late, so it can't save you! Hiks, .. However, Brother promised! You will get a better place there and Brother will make sure you get justice here,” Jayden said in a tone full of sadness.

This made Jayden and his friends cry even more sobbing because his guilt could not save them.

“So don't cry and feel guilty! As Big Brother said we will go to a better place thanks to Big Brother! And we believe Brother will give justice to our deaths,"

"Thank you so much for coming to our rescue and taking us to a better place,” said one of the girls' spirits representing the others.

“Sure, .. Hiks! Big brother will make sure to punish all those who did this heinous thing to you! Hiks, .. Be happy there,” Jayden said in between his sobs that increasingly sounded bitter.

Then without Jayden realizing there was one spirit an adult man began to join the children's spirits. This time it was not Jayden who cried sobbing, but Vernon who immediately prostrated himself before the spirit of the man.

“Hiks, .. Forgive me! I shouldn't have asked you to follow that bastard,” Vernon said regretfully, but the words made Jayden and his two friends realize that the man was the one who was ordered to follow Edwin before.

The man's spirit shook his head and said, “Don't feel guilty! Thanks to the task you gave us, we can find the bodies of these poor children! I also do not regret it, I am even grateful because thanks to my sacrifice their bodies are not left alone and will get a decent funeral.”

Vernon's cry became more and more bitter, indeed he could not look at the face of his subordinates anymore. Even though he knew that it was definitely their last meeting. Both Jayden and the others could understand Vernon's feelings back then.

He salutes like a policeman, followed by Kai and Ansel who are avenged by the spirit of the man who turns out to be Vernon's co-worker. And Vernon was forced to rise up and participate in giving military-style respect to his partner who was willing to sacrifice it.

“We have to take them away now!” mr. Hades said before disappearing with the spirit and nodding by Jayden and his friends.

In the blink of an eye, Lord Hades and the Angel of Death along with the spirits disappeared from the look in his eyes. Vernon and the others instantly wiped away the rest of his tears and prepared to give justice to those innocent children.

“We can't stay silent anymore!” jayden opened the conversation.

“Of course, the price of the lives of these children and my comrades must be paid even by those devil worshipers!” sahut Vernon who immediately called for help to take care of all the bodies including his partner.

“Let's start hunting!” exclaim Ansel.

“Really! They are not all humans but demons that must be sent back to hell,” furious Kai who can not stand all this anymore.

“I will take care of all the bodies of the children and will always send the information I get after the investigation,” Vernon said as soon as he returned after contacting other police members.

“Alright, we will take care of the person named Edwin first!” jayden said.
