The Secret Neighbor's

The Secret Neighbor's
IV. You

The rain has been pouring down on Seoul since 9 p.m. Caramel and some of his co-workers prefer to wait for the rain to subside, including Taehyung. The man seemed familiar with all his co-workers even though it was his first day at work.

Now, Caramel is doing her schoolwork with a glass of her favorite blueberry milkshake. This is not a strange sight for his co-workers, as Caramel does often take advantage of his leisure time at restaurants to study. Taehyung who saw Caramel so concentrated finally walked over with a glass of strawberry milkshake in his hand.

"What are you doing, Neighbor?" greet Taehyung.

Caramel stopped her activities for a moment. "I do my schoolwork, Taehyung's sister."

Taehyung sat opposite Caramel and nodded. "Well, do it right!"

Caramel just smiled broadly and returned to her activities. After 1 hour had passed, the second drink had been empty, but the rain had not yet subsided. One by one their co-workers say goodbye until only the two of them are left in the restaurant.

Seeing Caramel busy with his world, bored Taehyung starts to get sleepy. Realizing that, Caramel finished his activities and looked at Taehyung who made the folds of his arms as a pillow.

There was a feeling of guilt running through Caramel's heart.

"Sir Taehyung?" call Caramel.

Taehyung straightened his body to look at Caramel. "Yes?"

"How's this? It was still raining outside and it was almost 12 p.m., now" Caramel asked, biting his nails.

"It's okay, we can wait for it to subside," Taehyung replied casually.

"Really's? But it's been too late" Caramel said in disbelief.

"I don't want to break through the rain, Neighbor. Not in heavy rain and not with you" Taehyung replied.

Caramel blinked at the last sentence Taehyung said. His heart began to warm without permission.

"After all, Mr. Choi has given me the key to this restaurant. We can stay here" Taehyung added.

Caramel looked at Taehyung in disbelief. How could their boss trust a new employee like Taehyung so quickly? Not to mention the fact that staying with a man who is not your husband or brother in the rain is by no means the right way out. But, breaking through the heavy rain in the middle of the night will also only look for disease.

"But, we, right..."

Caramel begins to confuse his dilemma for fear of Taehyung becoming misunderstood.

Taehyung looked at Caramel with raised eyebrows. A grin was again imprinted on his lips. "Hey little boy, your mind's been going nowhere, isn't it?"

"What's? Nah! I don't think negative at all!" Caramel quickly denied.

"Thinking everywhere doesn't have to be negative unless you're negative. After all, your face is like a boiled crab," said Taehyung who could not help but laugh.

Caramel hid her face on top of her books scattered on the table. Not long after, the girl who had smeared her hair since doing the task looked up again.

Taehyung watched Caramel while propping up his chin. "What's wrong? You changed your mind?" tanyakanya.

"Alright well, because I have to go to school tomorrow, so I must not get sick" Caramel replied resignedly.

"Well, sweet boy, then we should go to bed now," Taehyung asked while pulling Caramel to follow him.

"Sir Taehyung, can you choose a better word? Why are your words so ambiguous?" ask Caramel.

Taehyung's laughter just came off hearing a plain question from Caramel.

"Haha. What is ambiguous? It's true, isn't it? You sleep on the white couch, I'm on the red couch, we both sleep, right?" it was obviously Taehyung who made Caramel's face heat up.

The two then lay down on their respective couches. The sound of heavy rain hitting the asphalt seemed to be lullaby for Taehyung and Caramel. The girl smiled in silence. For some reason, imagining herself with Taehyung all night made her happy. His stomach was tingling in there, his face was warming up, and his head felt almost smashed with dopamine as if it was filling his brain.

'Am I in love?'

Caramel shakes. No way, he even just got to know Taehyung.

'Who can resist Taehyung's gentle treatment?' caramel asked inwardly before the darkness pulled her into the dream world.

"How can you sleep in a short dress like this? You want to get sick, hm? You should have brought a coat."

Faintly, Caramel heard someone talking nearby. However, the drowsiness that surrounded him was too intense. On the verge of his consciousness, Caramel felt her body enveloped in something that made her no longer cold.

"Sleep tight" whispered someone.

The morning sun's rays force their way through the thick black mosquito net pores. Taehyung opened his eyes and stared at the stranger in the entire interior of the room. After his life was gathered, the man realized everything.

Taehyung turned his head and found Caramel sleeping like a sleeping princess. The blanket that the girl was wearing had not even changed since last night.

Taehyung approaches the sofa where Caramel is fast asleep on it, intending to wake the girl up as time has shown at 5 a.m.

"Neighbor, get up," Taehyung crouched down in front of Caramel and whispered so as not to surprise the girl.

"Hey, get up," this time Taehyung patted Caramel gently on the shoulder.

"Neighbors?" call Taehyung again. "It's 5 o'clock, don't we have to go back to the apartment because you have to go to school?"

Caramel squirmed and opened her eyes slowly. His hand moved rubbing his eyes that felt heavy. The drowsiness still enveloped made Caramel reluctant to wake up. The girl blinked looking at Taehyung who was right in front of her.

"Morning," Taehyung said with a smile on his box.

Caramel frowned in wonder. "Sister! What are you doing?! Why is it in my room, anyway?"

Taehyung looked at Caramel with both eyebrows raised. "Hey, did you forget we were here all night?"

"What?! What do you mean?!" caramel asked as she leaned against the back of the sofa.

Taehyung chose to fold the blanket that Caramel was wearing and ignored the girl's question.

"Sir Taehyung, why don't we go home and sleep in the restaurant instead?" caramel asked in a panic.

Taehyung returned their blankets to a special room and returned to Caramel's place with a bottle of mineral water. "Drink, it seems like your life is still not collected," he said, handing over a bottle of water.

Caramel received the mineral water from Taehyung with a chaotic feeling. Then, without much protest, he drank the water in the bottle until half was left.

"It's fresher?" tanya Taehyung who answered Caramel's strange gaze.

Taehyung pinched Caramel's cheek in a fit of anxiety. "Let's go home and clean yourself up. There are still 3 hours to get ready for school" the man asked.

"What?! You haven't even answered my question, sis," replied Caramel who didn't accept it when Taehyung ignored his confusion.

"Sad." Taehyung. One hand was stretched out on Caramel.

"Come on! Now we have to go home because you have to go to school, Neighbor. We can talk about this later if you still don't remember it" Taehyung said with a little persuasion.

Caramel opened her mouth again, about to answer before finally closing her mouth again. While trying to remember what had happened, his hand suddenly grabbed Taehyung's big hand. The man smiled at the sight of their hands clasping each other.

"Basic, Neighbor."
