Dooorrrr
The gunshot makes Sari and Arya reflex turn her body, and how surprised they turned out to be Doni who fired the gun, and unfortunately the shot hit the left abdomen of Nathali. Instantly, Nathali's body fell to the floor.
Sari was very panicked and held Nathali's stomach which let out a lot while raising Nathali's head to her thigh. While Arya reflexes the body because Doni re-directed the gun, lucky the bullet was not left so Arya ran towards chasing Doni who reflex ran after realizing the bullet was out.
Arya chases him to the back door of the building because she remembers something more important than chasing Doni.
He called an ambulance to come to the location where they were and told his men to go after Doni. Some of his men who had exited the building had come immediately upon hearing the sound of gunfire. Then come chasing behind after Sari says Doni's direction is blurred.
”Thank God, noo-na is unharmed.”
Nathali asked in a brick-styled voice as she endured the pain, even though her life was in danger but what she was worried about was her master.
Sari could not say a word other than a cry, she was very afraid that something might happen to Nathali.
Not long after Arya arrives, she says that an ambulance is coming and asks Nathali to hold on for a while, but Nathali smiles instead.
”No-naa thank you for teaching me the meaning of family, I am grateful to meet miss. I'm sorry for putting your life at risk.”
Nathali was silent for a moment because she felt tremendous pain and then continued her speech again after feeling able to speak. He really wants to tell a beautiful memory of his childhood amid the demands of life.
”Since childhood I have been plunged into the battlefield, although at first I was just a slave who brought their supplies but gradually I joined the battlefield. I have never been afraid to hear gunshots even though my life could be lost at any time but I feel ordinary, probably because I am more afraid of dying of hunger. My day is always full of blood, I am alive but not alive. Even so I want to continue living for whatever reason. When I was twelve, I went to the battlefield for the first time as a mercenary. It was the first time I killed anyone else, honestly, from the first time I killed until now my hands always tremble until one time I who fought in the hills saw the beautiful sea view from above. It was there that I felt peaceful, my hands did not tremble. It was the only beautiful sight I saw amidst the blood red color and fishy smell. I would love to go back to a place like that, only I could never do it.”
Nathali grimaced in pain when she told a lot of stories, although her voice was slow but Sari still heard it clearly.
”Be quiet, don't talk much.” Sari's answer sounded unclear because it was accompanied by a crying voice.
”No-naa, if you don't mind I want to rest on a hill with a view of the sea.”
”Sure, we will all go on vacation to such a place.”
Nathali actually returned with a bitter smile while his breath began to pant. He felt the time had come. Although he had to end up here, he had no regrets at all. She was so grateful that she could keep her promise to protect Sari with her own life.
”Nonaaa, please promise me that you will always live happily and do not dissolve in sadness.”
Nathali's question that had sounded faint and difficulty was answered with a nod of the head by Sari. Sari unceasingly let out her tears.
”Tu-an Arya, please protect miss.”
Arya nodded her head then Nathali smiled and looked back at Sari's face.
”One more miss, never tell your sister about my death.”
”To-long promise-lah no-naa.”
Nathali had seemed to run out of energy, his voice was very slow to make Sari forced to nod her head.
Finally Nathali smiled faintly for the last time after seeing Sari nod her head.
Nathali's last breath was followed by Sari's crying voice, she held Sari's head into her arms.
Shortly after the ambulance and police arrived, Nathali's body was taken to the hospital for an autopsy.
Arya hugged Sari who almost fainted from crying. They then followed the ambulance to the hospital.
...----------------...
Arya had prepared the final resting place for the late Nathali on the hill with a view of the sea, and, indeed, the location is quite far from the city but they want to provide a quiet and peaceful resting place like the wishes of the late Nathali.
The funeral was only attended by Sari, Arya and the subordinates of the late Nathali who were still working for Sari, because it was the deceased who asked for it.
Sari painstakingly held back her tears but when the whole funeral process was over and it was time to sow flowers, her tears instantly spilled. He could no longer hold back his tears, of course Arya patted slowly on Sari's shoulder so that she felt a little calm.
Even with Nathali's men, they could not hold back their tears. The atmosphere of the funeral was full.
”Bos, why boss go first before me. Though I have not returned the favor to boss.”
One of Nathali's closest men, among others, continued to cry even though he never cried even once in his life when he was in pain from a gunshot wound or when he lost his family. This was the first time for him to cry, because he already considered Nathali like a god. Not only did Nathali save his life, but he also taught himself the true meaning of life.
He remembered what Nathali had said when he almost gave up on living.
Live as if every day were your last. You will appreciate all the time left in your life.
Since then when he felt like giving up he must have remembered the word Nathali said, he would not waste the life given by Nathali.
”Nat, now rest in peace. Stay in a beautiful place. I will visit you often.” Sari's voice rang out as she tightly hugged Nathali's headstone.
”I'm sure, Nathali must be in a beautiful place right now. Let's go home, it looks like it's going to rain.” said Arya after seeing the sky that began to cloudy due to covered in black clouds.
Sari nodded and they all left the cemetery, all the steps they always offered prayers for Nathali, so that he would be happy in the next life.
