Two years and eight months passed. The sound of a heartbeat from an ECG machine continues to echo. Altesa was lying helplessly in an oxygen mask.
Because it continues to receive intake of food and drink through fluids, the body Altesa actually added contains. He's fatter than he was the last time he had an accident.
A nurse named Nirina came into the room. He injected something into Altesa's body.
"Great pity on you. Though very beautiful. Today your husband decided to give up on you." - Sally Nirina as she watched Altesa's face. He nodded for a moment.
It just so happened that Nirina was the nurse in charge of guarding Altesa. For years he kept doing the same thing every day. Nirina felt close to Altesa even though she never spoke to each other.
When fixated on looking at her patient's face, Nirina did not know one thing. Altesa's index finger suddenly moved. It was the first time in two years. And of course, that little movement is a miracle.
After the index finger moves. The other fingers of Altesa moved along. Then the eyes of the woman opened.
The glare of the light instantly struck Altesa's vision. He tried to adapt first.
Nirina who saw, shocked not dumbass. He hurried to call the doctor on duty. Tell unexpected news about his patients.
Stevan is the doctor on duty. He did not expect Altesa to suddenly wake up. Stevan was told to prepare for the euthanasia process. But it seems that this cannot be done because the patient is suddenly aware.
"Al's? If you can see my hand, please nod your head" Stevan said, waving before Altesa's face.
Altesa was still trying to gather consciousness. Even so, he nodded his head to give an answer.
"It's really a miracle! Wildan must be so happy!" exclaiming Stevan. He orders Nirina to tell Wildan about Altesa's situation.
"Calm down, Al. We'll do everything gradually." Stevan spoke with a sumringah face.
Having been able to digest everything, Altesa began to be able to respond through sound. He asked what had happened to him.
"You've been in a coma for two more years. It's a miracle!" stevan.
"Really? Am I gonna be okay?" sahut Altesa looked worried. He changed his position to sit.
"Your situation is very good. You just need to get used to active movement. Your body must have felt stiff from not being moved for too long." Stevan gives his explanation again.
"What about my family? Where are my husband and son? Can I meet them?" altesa Pinta. He certainly misses his little family.
"Your husband is on his way here!" answer Stevan.
Altesa. He immediately guided Stevan and Nirina to stand up. Altesa is also allowed to move the legs. All this is done so that he can get used to it.
Altesa almost fell. But it did not last long, because he could adapt quickly enough.
...***...
Hearing the news of Altesa's realization, Wildan was greatly shocked. He who was busy doing company meetings, rushed to the hospital.
"This is impossible! This is unlikely to happen." muttered Wildan who was still in disbelief. He just got into the car. That's when he got a new message from Stevan. The man sent a photographic evidence that Altesa was awake.
Wildan's eyes were a great cross. He tightened his jaw and immediately stepped on the gas pedal. Wildan will prove himself by going to the hospital.
A minute's gone. Wildan finally reached his destination. He immediately searched for Altesa's whereabouts. His wife was seen standing in front of the window and looking at the cityscape.
Wildan was looking behind the door. Observing Altesa from head to toe. He still did not think that his wife had regained consciousness. Considering the accident that hit Altesa is very severe.
Wildan's plan failed to carry out the euthanasia process. Surprisingly he smiled obliquely, then stepped to the back of Altesa.
"Al.." call Wildan down.
Altesa. He immediately looked over and smiled full of haru. Without a second thought, Altesa threw a hug at Wildan.
Wildan just kept quiet. He only returned Altesa's embrace weakly. As if not interested in his meeting with Altesa.
"Where's Azka? Didn't you bring him?" Altesa took off a hug. He was wailing because he was trying to find the whereabouts of his biological children.
"He's at school." Wildan answered briefly.
"really? He must be big by now. If I'm in a coma for two years, that means Azka's age is now six, right?" Altesa looked enthusiastic.
Wildan nodded weakly. His smile even looked wry.
"How is my mother? Why isn't he there, too?" ask Altesa again.
Hearing Altesa's question, Wildan's head slowly bowed. Showing a sad face. Next, he told Altesa that Ratna had died two years ago. Exactly one week after Altesa was sentenced to a coma.
"W-what?! They're kidding, right? Please tell me that's not true!" Altesa shook Wildan's body hysterically.
"I'm sorry." said Wildan. Makes Altesa unable to argue anymore. The poor woman finally broke the cry.
Wildan swiftly brought Altesa back into his arms. Trying to calm the wife as much as possible.
Altesa long enough to wail in Wildan's arms. She was sad not to get to see her own mother.
"You need to rest. Is there any food you'd like to eat? I'll buy it for you" Wildan softly bargained.
Altesa. He was filled with Wildan's patient attitude. "Mas never changes. Her attention never disappeared," she replied, tightening her embrace.
"Wildan is the only person who always takes care of you, Al..." Stevan suddenly replied. He knew that Wildan was the one who visited Altesa the most.
Wildan immediately took Altesa to a hospital bed. He told his wife to wait a while. While he went to buy food.
Altesa awaits Wildan's arrival. He just happened to be alone in the room. His eyes occasionally glanced towards the wall clock.
The door suddenly opened. But it was not Wildan who came, but Nirina. The nurse brought Wildan's food.
"Where is the Wild?" ask Altesa astonished. His forehead shriveled deep.
"Said there's urgent work. That is why this food was given through me" replied Nirina as she prepared food to give to Altesa.
"Oh so.. But he's going to be here again right?" Altesa.
"That's sure. There's no way your husband didn't come back here. You just calm down." Nirina uttered a calming sentence. Altesa believed and nodded.
It doesn't feel like the day has gone night. But Wildan did not come. Altesa eventually tried to contact Wildan by telephone. Unfortunately, Wildan's number is off.
"Mas Wildan must have been busy. Maybe he'll come tomorrow." Altesa tried to think positively.
On the other hand, Stevan had just finished treating a patient. On the way to Altesa's room, he got some unexpected news.
"Your patient Altesa no longer has a guardian!" said a nurse named Raihan.
"What's? Meanin?" stevan's forehead wince.
"The former "guardian has revoked his right not to be responsible anymore. So for now, that patient has not paid any medical expenses!" lang Raihan's.
Stevan stunned. He who had suspected Wildan was kind-hearted, turned out to abandon his own wife.
