Chapter 3 – Lonely Snow
Shi Feng walked on the road leading to the town hall, along a street crowded with people passing by.
The less spacious road was filled with Players and NPCs. They conversed with the NPCs, taking the opportunity to obtain the Quest. Such an atmosphere gives one the impression of walking in the market.
Unfortunately, it was not an easy task to obtain a Quest in . The main reason was because NPCs had high intelligence, giving them the ability to have a connected conversation with players. In addition, players must pay attention to what they say or risk being ignored by NPCs. And there is also a wave of Players competing to obtain Normal Quest which is easy process. Just that, finding 1 alone was already extremely difficult.
After more than 10 minutes since it started, not a single Player in Red Leaf City had received a Normal Quest yet.
In comparison, Shi Fengs advantage as a reincarnated person was truly great. Not only did he receive a Quest, but that Quest was also a Unique Quest. Although a little damned. However, the reward of completing this Unique Quest was incredible. Even the Top Players who had played for a month though would still drool upon seeing the rewards of this Unique Quest.
As a person who had reincarnated, Shi Feng had the experience of leading thousands of people while he was in Shadow Workshop. They had even built ten City States. The amount of information in the ones in his grasp far surpassed what the average Player knew, even the beta tester though. So it has many ways and strategies regarding how to level quickly and earn money in this. This was a must-have for Guilds with thousands of players to grow stronger.
Now that he had reincarnated and played again, Shi Feng wanted to use this information to gather a large amount of profit. It was all to build a better foundation for his future development. So naturally, he would not replicate the average Player, spending hours on the streets just to fight over one Normal Quest. Moreover, he would not imitate the skilled Players, using their refined techniques to kill monsters in the wild, because, at this moment, it was, there are probably more players than monsters in the wild.
All Shi Feng wanted to do was avoid this pile of players, which was why he chose a Unique Quest that had this unreasonable level of difficulty.
However, completing this Quest required money, something Shi Feng did not currently possess.
Each player will receive 10 Copper Coins at the beginning of the Game. Although it was not enough to purchase Weapons or Equipment, purchasing HP or MP healing items was not a problem.
When Shi Feng arrived in front of the two-storied City Hall, he was met with the sight of hundreds of people, queuing into a long queue.
Regardless of which game it was, If the Quest Target was the Village Chief or the Mayor of a city, no player would let this opportunity go.
"Hey the newcomer, queue up to receive the Quest if you don't want to draw public anger" from within the queue, a male Warrior who looked honest and resolute looked at Shi Feng. The warrior raised his hand and pointed behind the line of people lining up.
"I'm not here to accept a Quest," Shi Feng said in an indifferent tone as he looked at the long line in front of the City Hall.
Compared to other locations, this place has good order and efficiency. Although it would take more time to receive a Quest, it was much better than some who could not accept it at all.
After the male Warrior heard What Shi Feng had just said, he carefully looked at Shi Feng. Everyone here was frantically trying to accept the Quest now .. but there was someone who actually said that he had no interest in accepting the mission? Not even a ghost would believe that!
"I'm really not here to accept a Quest," Shi Feng looked at the male Warrior. Looking at that person's hostile eyes and how he thought Shi Feng wanted to jump over the queue, Shi Feng said with a smile, "However, I advise you to accept the Quest elsewhere. You're just gonna wait aimlessly here. "
"Huh? Wh why? There were already some people who received the Quest after queuing up here. ”After determining that Shi Feng had no intention of lining up, the male Warrior heaved a sigh of relief. He had already been in the queue for over ten minutes now and he definitely did not want someone to cut the queue. However, hearing Shi Fengs resolute tone made him wonder why he was waiting fruitlessly.
Shi Feng smiled but did not elaborate. Instead, he changed the topic by saying, “Seeing you're not a bad person, I'll lead you down a brighter path. Kill the hordes in the fields. You'll have a better future than staying here. "
"No, I don't want to go. There are too many monsters in the wild and I can't compete with other people. This place is still better ”Warrior male shook his head. He's not an idiot. At this moment, there must be a wave of people in the Field Area. With just his skill, he might not even be able to snatch monsters, so he better just wait here.
"That's because you went to the wrong place. If you go somewhere with a little monster, of course, there will be no one who will compete with you. Compared to an area filled with players and monsters, leveling efficiency was several times better. Not only that, the respawn rate of monsters there is slow, so you can handle it alone without worrying, Shi Feng said with a smile.
"Is there really such a place?"
The male warrior was excited after listening to Shi Feng. He was very interested in such a location. He still needed to wait over an hour to receive the Quest and the reward.all he could get was EXP and a little money. If he could grind monsters for an hour without a hitch, the EXP he could obtain would far surpass the reward of a Quest.
“Of course there are. I'll give you a special price of 20 Copper if you want to go to a valuable location. Let alone EXP; if you grind monsters for a full day there it will give you over 40 Copper. If you're lucky, you can make a ton more if a piece of equipment falls, "Shi Feng walks closer to the male Warrior, whispering into his ear.
"You really didn't fool me, did you?" The male warrior looked at Shi Feng with hesitation in his eyes. If there was such a valuable location, he could definitely surpass many other players; but 20 Copper was not a small amount. Monsters in rarely dropped money or equipment, so Copper Coins were extremely valuable.
"If you don't believe me, you can pay 10 Coppers first. You'll know just from trying once you get to the place. If that's true, then you can pay me another 10 Coppers. I'm just saying this to you because I see you as a good person. Forget it, if you don't believe me, "Shi Feng turned around and left after saying his part.
Shi Feng would not do this if he did not lack money. At worst, he would only use a few other methods to earn money.
Just after walking a few steps, Shi Feng was stopped by the male Warrior.
"Sir, please wait a moment. Let's talk about it again, okay? Doesn't that just require a 10 Copper down payment? Come here, take this. I believe that an expert like you will not deceive me. "The male warrior revealed an honest smile, firmly exchanging 10 Copper to Shi Feng.
“Seeing your performance, I'll give you a good location. Although this place was a bit far away, there was only one Green Gnome Level 0 type Mage. It has a low defense and a fast respawn rate. The chances of dropping money are also greater. A Berserker would be great at killing there. ”Shi Feng gave the Warrior a good grinding location after happily receiving ten Copper.
The male warrior was relieved when he realized how familiar Shi Feng was with wild monsters, even to the extent of knowing the amount of money that dropped. He never imagined that he would be so lucky to meet an expert from and not an ordinary expert. Most likely Shi Feng was a Beta Tester. The male warrior became even more excited as he thought of this possibility.
“Expert sister, do you know the location that dropped the skill book for Berserker? It was extremely difficult to fight against hordes of monsters with just a single Skill. "The male soldier liked Shi Feng even more now, even treating Shi Feng as his superior.
"It's okay if youu want to know., but it will cost you 2 Silver," Shi Feng smiled. Who will provide valuable information only after a short conversation? Shi Feng would not do so unless there was money involved, of course.
The male soldier paled when he heard the price. 2 Silver is equal to 200 Copper. Even an average Guild would not have that much money.
“Sister Expert, let's add each other as friends. I'm lonely Snow. I'll contact you again after I've saved up enough, "Warrior that man then sent Shi a friend a request.
"All right." Shi Feng accepted Lonely Snow's request.
Now that Shi Feng already had the money, he walked towards the fruit stall near the City Hall.
"Boss, how much is this tomato fruit?" Shi Feng asked as he raised the ripe red Tomato.
Both Fruits and Vegetables can help restore HP and MP players. The taste of it is also very delicious. The only drawback is its poor recovery rate. Under normal circumstances, players would not buy them at all, especially during periods where money was a big deal. Spending money on Fruits and Vegetables is just a very wasteful behavior.
"2 Coppers for each fruit."
"Then give me 10."
Shi Feng paid 20 Copper. He walked to the City Hall after receiving those 10 Tomatoes.
“Hei, newcomers, queue up. Can't you see someone else is waiting in line too? "
"Hey that swordsman over there, what do you think you're trying to do? Do you have any idea how many of us are in line? "
The players in the queue became furious and began to criticize when they saw Shi Feng cutting the line, walking straight towards the Mayor. They would have long since killed Shi Feng, were it not for the fact that they could be imprisoned if they attacked another Player within the city.
"Sorry, but I'm really not here to accept the Quest. I'm just here to see it. "Shi Feng smiled at the Players, he turned to look at the fat City Mayor, Cross.
(Crosses) (Elite, Friendly)
Level 15's
HP 2400/2400
MP 1500/1500
No player can beat him at this stage. That's impossible, even with the team.
Next, Shi Feng took out a ripe and red Tomato, biting at it.
"What is this guy doing?"
"WTF! He actually ate a tomato! Each one costs 2 Coppers! This is too wasteful! ”
The other Players could not understand what Shi Feng was trying to do. By coming to the City Hall to eat Tomatoes ... was he trying to show off how rich he was?
In the middle of his Tomato, Shi Feng suddenly threw it towards Mayor Cross's face.
The tomato accurately landed on Cross's face, spreading a bright red liquid all over.
System: Cross' Favorability towards you has been reduced by 100 points.
Dissatisfied, Shi Feng took out another Tomato from his bag, throwing it towards Cross.
"Purely! Fatty! Bloodsuckers! You don't deserve to be mayor! "
Shi Feng continued cussing as he threw the Tomato, while Cross's fondness continued to decline. Cross's body flushed red because of the tomato juice that continuously flowed into his body. Adding to his angry expression, it created a very funny sight.
However, no one in the City Hall laughed.but instead, it was very quiet. All players became agape and astonished by Shi Fengs actions.
Only 20 minutes after launch, there was a Player who dared to actually attack the NPC and again it was not just any NPC; he attacked the leader of a city, the Beginner Area Boss!
This guy is crazy! Was this fellow not afraid of being imprisoned to death?
Does he no longer want to stay in Red leaf City?
Even if you want revenge or have a grudge against society, it still shouldn't be done that way!
Just when the other Player expected the Guards to hold Shi Feng or the Mayor would kill Shi Feng in anger, none of these things actually happened.
No player knew that insulting an NPC was not considered an attack. Hence why neither the Guards nor the mayor's bodyguards had attacked Shi Feng. Shi Fengs actions would only cause the NPCs to hate him to the bones and he would no longer be able to receive Quests from the NPCs in question in this life.
When Shi Feng's last Tomato landed on Cross's face, Cross's fondness fell at its lowest. The Cross level became a question mark and the yellow marker on it quickly turned a dead red.
“The damned bug! I'll send you to hell! "
The bright red cross roared loudly as he rushed at Shi Feng.
