Chapter 3 The Cursed Princess

 

It was a blazing sun burning skin, on top of the Sea oak and Rey was enjoying their afternoon snack.

Cakes with chocolate sprinkles became the main menu this afternoon. Rey chewed happily while humming while beside her Sea stared at the invitation in his hand in annoyance. He cursed the third princess of the king with all kinds of beasts, how not? in his hand is an invitation to all princesses and noble ladies in this kingdom.

" Stupid! you moron! Why would that goddamn princess invite me?"

Rey who heard Sea's grunts just chuckled amusedly she was still engrossed in enjoying the chocolate cake in her mouth.

" Why not? isn't the big brother's appearance very convincing for a prince in a princess dress? I even asked how big brother can be at home for five

twelve years of wearing such clothes not to mention for the manners of a princess isn't that very troublesome?"

Sea just shrugged his shoulders, he was used to acting like a princess. If not, how will everyone believe she's a princess? sea's red lips suddenly curved to form a sweet smile.

Seeing that smile, Rey suddenly shuddered

" Sister why are you smiling?"

" What? can't I smile?"

" Eh that's not what I meant! I'm just wondering why did you suddenly smile?"

Sea sighed seeing the stupidity of his sister, he then grabbed Rey's head and scrambled it.

" Stop brother! my hair's getting tangled"

" Ah my dear sister you are so cute and adorable. This brother of yours is a friendly person, of course, smiles are common to me"

Rey did not bother him, he was busy devouring one cake after another in his hand.

" Hey boy! the cake is our ration so don't be greedy so"

" Your brother should keep your body from getting fat so leave your rations to me"

Sea hit Rey hard on the head, Rey complained and glared at Sea.

Sea just kept silent while eating the cake that was held by Rey. He pretended not to know and did not want to know with his sister's complaint.

Rey pursed her lips, grumbling she came down from the oak tree.

" Sister come back!"

Sea nodded and came down, both of them walked away from the forest.

" Sea let's pick the dress up, son! You should look dazzling in three days"

Sea stared at the pile of fancy dresses in his mother's hands, inwardly he shuddered at how tired he was trying dozens of dresses. She still remembers when Rey's age the crown prince also threw a party for the nobles, at which time her mother prepared fifty fancy dresses to try. Tomorrow, all of his body will be sick

all she remembers is trying on dresses is more exhausting than fighting.

" Mom can we just pick one, try everything looks troublesome"

" No boy! You have to look most charming at the party"

" What does it look beautiful for? I'll wear men's clothes again"

Hearing that princess Helda was stunned, she only realized that she only had a son instead of a daughter.

Princess Helda patted her forehead then looked at the grumbling Sea

Sea picked up the red dress resignedly, the dress was quite covered not exposing his body too much.

He then grabs the tiara with a red diamond then keeps it in the closet.

Sea stepped towards his mother and sat with his head leaning against her mother's shoulders

" Mother tell me about the origin of Atlantis"

Princess Helda looked at Sea then took a slow breath. While rubbing Sea's hair he started telling stories

" The story begins thousands of years ago when humans had not yet found a way to live underwater. At that time the most powerful kingdom was the kingdom of Exlise, the kingdom was famous for its advanced magic abilities. Every child of that kingdom has been proficient in magic from the age of ten.

Even so the advance of the kingdom in the field of magic made all other kingdoms become waste until finally many parties planned the destruction of the entire kingdom of Exlise. King Exlise had a beautiful princess, she was called the princess of light. The princess was then married to a prince from the other side of the kingdom. At first the princess and her husband lived happily but two months later the husband arrived very ill and died. The princess of light was so sad and went back to see her father. After her husband died she then devoted herself to deepening the magic until the news spread throughout the entirety including the kingdom of her husband's origin. The princess' father-in-law then warned the princess to leave the palace immediately as all the kingdoms in the east had united to attack Exlise. Hearing the news, the princess of light ordered all her soldiers and people to unite, and ordered them to learn an ancient magic. Eventually, all the people and members of the kingdom of Exlise plunge into the Atlantic ocean and establish an underwater kingdom known as the Atlantic. And in fact the Atlantic is the forerunner of other underwater kingdoms.

But the consequence of the chanting is that every descendant of the light princess will be a half-fish woman when night falls until she meets her soul mate"

" Wait mom, if all the descendants of light princess women will experience it then did you first too?"

Hearing Sea princess Helda's question just laughed loosely

" Of course not! we are not descendants of the light princess. We are descendants of Prince Zain who is the youngest brother of the princess"

" Where are the descendants of the light princess?"

" I don't know whether or not the mother also did not know because exactly five years after the kingdom of Atlantis stood the princess and her child disappeared.

I'll just tell you one thing this is the rarest event in Atlantic history. There has never been an Atlantic crown prince who would be the husband of a cursed princess. This news can be bad or good but the wisest thing is to hide this from anyone, especially your uncle"

" Mom's just afraid that if this is known to your uncle he'll try to figure out where this damned princess is"

" Is that bad mom?"

" Certainly because the existence of a cursed princess is actually a curse for everyone"
