This procession is led by 3 ‘pembala’, namely children aged around 12 years who wear special uniforms. The procession will take place from 9 am along the main road of Zermat city. (Bahnhoffstrasse) up to the meadow on the mountain, above the Spiss district not far from the helicopter pad. In the afternoon at 5 o'clock, these goats will be paraded back past Bahnhoffstrasse towards its enclosure (the Zermatt call it ‘Gadi’) at Zen Stecken. 

If there are more important activities/events taking place on Bahnhoffstrasse road, then the Goat Tour will be held along the Vispa (Bachstrasse) river road.

Nevertheless, Zermatt offers a variety of tourist activities that can be done in addition to seeing the valiant scenery of the mountain.
