The Past...Ye

The long journey today did not make Runa tired. He still remembers the address of Abay's house in Jogja and goes straight there.
For a while Runa was silent in front of the house. Nothing has changed from this house. In the past while still studying here he was said to often come here just to meet Mom and Dad.
His feet slowly entered the terrace of the house. A long breath he let out slowly. His heart became a beat, guessing what would happen later after he met Abay. Will he scold Abay, or will he cry?
"What are you, Runa?". Melda stroked softly on Runa's shoulders. Runa nodded and started knocking on the door in front of him. A few times while saying hello.
This house looks quiet like no one's here. Mom and Dad can't move house, right? Inner Runa.
Until there were two mothers - mothers who happened to be passing by.
"Excuse me, ma'am, ask. Winarsih's mother and her family still live here, right? You see, from earlier I called - call but no one was upset. Kira - I guess I know where they're going?"
"Oh, Ms. Winarsih is still living here. Just today they all went to the building. Kan Mas Bayu is married today. We just got here from there.."
Runa's knees went limp for a moment. "Wood, Mayu's son Winarsih's mother? Be married? Today then? Same as who's Mom..". Runa could barely continue the question. But he must know the truth.
"Sama Ma'am Mayra. Neighbors next to his house, they have long since grown up. Yes, if that's what we'll excuse you first, ma'am.."
Melda tries to support Runa's limp body hearing the fact that Abay is married to Mayra. Runa's tears can't be contained anymore just keep flowing from her beautiful face.
"Abay married Mayra?" Runa asked herself. "Why did he say he loved me so much? That's not all right! Abay is just playing with my heart! She must have been revenge on me...."
Melda hugged her best friend. "You're patient, Runa? God must have had other plans. God has the best path for you and Abay. Okay well? Already, remove your tears. Don't waste your tears for the people who hurt you.."
"Mel, accompany me to Abay's wedding hall..".
Melda glared, "What's Runa doing? You can't embarrass yourself in there, right?".
Runa shook his head, "I just want to make sure once again that Abay is happy to have married his best friend..".
"You sure?".
Runa nodded, "I don't know what. After I found out she was happy with Mayra we went straight back to Jakarta..".
Melda was forced to accompany Runa despite doubts whether her best friend would be okay when she arrived there later.

Along the way back to Jakarta, Melda looked at the disappointed face of Runa mixed with sadness and anger that she was pensive. There were no tears streaming down her beautiful face, but Melda knew that Runa's heart must be very painful.
Melda doesn't even believe Abay married Mayra. After Melda, Abay also loves Runa.
Hugged his best friend. "Are you okay?"
Runa tried to smile in front of Melda. Even though she knew that smile was just a mask so that Melda would not worry about it. "I don't know what...".
