The Night Raid Unknown

The Dungeon Num VI

A bright yellow-colored light continued to surround a young man hovering in the sky. The light gathered in his hand forming a sword.

"Energy Sword: Lightning"

William immediately darted into the mouth of Wyvern's undead. Stabbing the wyvern undead with the energy sword. William destroyed the undead essence of wyvern life making it immediately disappear into a grain of light.

William looked towards the necromancer who was also looking at him. The necromancer's red eyes made William sense of danger.

The necromancer created an arc of bone. He pulled the bowstring and aimed at William. Arrows from the bones appeared. The Necromancer removed his bowstring. The arrow shot rapidly towards William. William made a shield from the energy around him.

William immediately hid behind a nearby tree. The Necromancer shot another arrow towards William. William who saw that immediately lowered his head. The bone arrow pierced through the tree and made a small hole.

William felt hiding was a futile choice. An energy sword formed in his hand. William lunged forward. Each time the arrow would be released, William immediately hid behind the tombstone. If it was not possible to dodge it would create an energy shield.

The distance between William and the necromancer was only 12 meters. The necromancer's attack changed. The arrow released could change direction following William. William was pushed back several times so as not to approach the necromancer any further.

"Damn it, how do you fight it?" William kept thinking of a plan.

William had already blocked the necromancer bone arrow with his energy shield but the energy shield instantly shattered.

William did not realize that the necklace around his neck was glowing brightly. Slowly a figure who was sitting leisurely was seen. He looked at William who continued to struggle without any intention of helping.

William realized the figure looked familiar. Soon William was surprised and forgot that he was in a fight. A bone arrow shot past him.

"Do you need help?"

William became even more surprised to hear his voice.

"Karaasu... How can you?"

That figure shook his head. William was confused. The figure straightened his left hand and made a barrier blocking the necromancer bone arrow.

"I am indeed Karasu but not the real Karasu. I'm just one of the pieces of her power" William recalled with the necklace and he checked her neck.

William was confused because he thought how the necklace could appear when they were in a different world. William touched the necklace and felt his strength growing little by little.

"I'll help you but only with a suggestion. I will not help you directly because if I help you directly it will delay your improvement" William nodded in understanding.

"First, pay attention to the range of your enemy's attack and your attack. Try to keep every avoidance not too wide or make you out of your attack range" immediately Karasu pieces back and open the barrier.

The figure noticed William who was trying out the advice he gave. William was trying to measure what the range of his attacks was. William also tried to avoid bone arrows with minimal avoidance. Failure continues to occur making it have to retreat to maintain distance.

William used the health potion he stored. He was forced to use it because of his slight HP. William felt the danger behind him immediately roll forward.

The Skeleton continued to attack William until it entered the necromancer firing range. William's troubles continue to grow as the skeleton continues to emerge. Karasu's flakes instantly took action.

William's surroundings turned white. Now it's just him and Karasu's splinters in the place.

"Maybe I'll teach you straight away. If you can defeat me, you might be able to easily defeat that necromancer" Karasu's flakes made a sword in his hand.

William also instantly made a sword out of the remaining energy. Ferina's gifting sword had been shattered as she fought the Wyvern undead. So that he could only use the energy sword.

"Prepare, I'll make you feel what hell is like" Karasu's flake smiled hideously.

William who saw it was immediately serious. Karasu's flakes stepped forward. His slow pace made William quickly take the first strike. The steps of Karasu's flakes were suddenly quick. He evaded William's attack and counterattacked.

William was shocked and thrown backwards hit by a Karasu flake kick. William felt Karasu flakes saying "This is just the beginning" of his body movements. William increases his guard and returns to attack but is avoided by Karasu's flakes.

"Slow"

William felt pain all over his body. William held his sword. He immediately twisted his body. Swinging his sword at Karasu's flakes. Again successfully avoided by Karasu flakes easily.

"Study your every move well. Know the reason why your enemy easily dodged the attack" Karasu's fragments gave direction after counterattacking William.

In the palace hall Accel and Dany managed to defeat the blue and red knights with little remaining hp. They rest waiting for William. Milea brought him some freshly burned meat.

"I didn't expect you to be carrying twigs and meat, Accel" Dany stared at the meat with a greedy look.

"Oh yes dong, if I get lost and starve, I just cook this meat while waiting for help" Accel patted his flat chest proudly.

"Beautiful but flat" that's what Dany thought after seeing Accel's actions.

William kneels before Karasu's fragments. He planted an energy sword to hold his body. Tiredness felt. He raised his head to face Karasu's flakes with distress.

"Just this way?" karasu's speech made William feel angry.

He forced himself to stand up. Unknowingly the necklace around her neck began to change. Karasu's flakes smiled at William who had mounted the horses.

"Alright, you have proven the determination that is in your heart. Now I'll send some of my power. We'll see you again, William"

William felt his energy return. Even he felt stronger than before.

William was surprised to see his status. The place around him goes back to Funeral Num. He looked at the Necromancer who was directly aiming at him. William stepped forward avoiding the arrow.

William continued to dodge the skeleton attacks and the arrows were released. As long as he dodged the attack, he realized something. Slowly he nimbly dodged every attack without any hassles. He walked closer to the necromancer.

William successfully launched an attack. He immediately destroyed the mask the necromancer was wearing. As the mask shattered William felt so shocked that he did not realize the sword had pierced his stomach.

William bled out blood from his mouth and looked at the necromancer who was smiling at him. William felt the sadness behind his smile.

Skeletons and zombies had surrounded them. Some skeletons were holding bows and were ready to release their arrows at William. William smiled bitterly at the circumstances around him.

"Bother" William heard a voice.

He realized the sound was a fragment of Karasu. He saw the necklace around his neck that was flashing.

"Now listen to me, I will teach you one of the skills that are suitable for this situation. This skill will help you in every battle. But remember, do not carelessly use skills. If you have already displayed this skill, you should finish off your enemies immediately. Now listen to my instructions"

"First, focus all the energy around you to enter your body. Second, spread that energy all over your body"

William tries to focus the surrounding energy to get into his body but fails. He kept trying but failed. The pain in his stomach continued to increase. The skeleton also began to release arrows.

"Huh, I had to do this. From now on I'll take control of your whole body, learn every single thing" William lost control of his body, he's now in his subconscious.

From the subconscious he could see Karasu's fragments controlling him.

"Now I will play the third round" Karasu's shreds forcefully removed the necromancer sword and kicked it away.

The skeletons immediately released arrows. Karasu's flakes stepped forward to approach one of the zombies and used it as a shield. Karasu's flakes kicked the skeleton close and took his sword. He immediately cut off every single zombie head that was within his reach.

He returned using the zombies nearby as the skeletons unleashed arrows again. After the rain of arrows ended, he threw the zombie corpse towards the necromancer. The Necromancer fell down with the impact of a zombie corpse. The karasu flakes immediately ran over and jumped. He immediately struck the necromancer's body with his sword.

William who saw the action of Karasu flakes was surprised. He did not expect the strength they displayed to be different. William felt the zeal to be strong when he saw Karasu's flakes. He remembered that Karasu had not been found.

"I'll definitely save you"
