The Mystery of Jovan Love - An Unexpected End

The Mystery of Jovan Love - An Unexpected End
Part Two

The Roots of All Suffering

Jovan immediately bowed and nodded respectfully at a woman of about 35 who opened the small door.

After being invited in, he hesitated and awkwardly approached a 68-year-old woman who was standing haughty on the porch of her magnificent home.

"STOP!” Grandma Soraya's impact suddenly stopped Jovan's steps at a distance of approximately two meters from the veranda.

“Jovan! what do you really want? How many times have I banned you from coming here? Never set foot again in this magnificent and holy house!” continued Grandma Soraya welcomed Jovan with hardikan.

“I just want to ask where dad is, Nek.” Jovan answered politely. He was stunned in the middle of the page, even though he had expected to get a hardship but did not expect that data.

Soraya's grandmother did not even allow Jovan to step on the shiny porcelain floor.

“Hah! my son Fuad doesn't come back to your house? How long has it been?” The grandmother who was wearing a hoodless caftan and still looked beautiful asked in a sneering tone.

“Iya Nek, dad has not come home for almost a month, maybe he is at grandma's house.” Jovan tried to control himself and calm his racing heart. His bad feeling worked right away. This time it's no better than before.

“Yes! Fuad my son has come here almost four times, just like him. You don't have to look for her because it's her parents' house. So it's only natural that Fuad came to this house.”  Soraya's grandmother crossed both hands on her chest. Highlight the clear, sharp eyes under his thick eyebrows, intimidating Jovan.

While the woman who had opened the door, stood terrified behind the master.

“Iya Nek, if you come back here later, please tell him to come home soon even for a moment. Dede is very sick, every day father. She really misses dad.” Jovan fused his two palms together, then put down in front of his lowered face. Pleads very strongly.

“Hah! it's good that you're ranting. Who do you think you are?” ketus Granny Soraya while looking haughty.

Jovan's courtesy and respect, was not at all pleasing to his heart. The cruel woman whose heart had been petrified was never willing to grant any request of Jovan. Even for the simplest.

Jovan raised his face, looking at the woman whose cheek lines and chin were exactly the same as his father, even with him.

“I beg grandma's willingness to open her heart a little for the sake of Dede, granddaughter and father's flesh and blood Fuad.” Jovan's back to welding.

“Heh! Don't talk to just you!” Grandma Soraya suddenly barked and ruffled her waist.

“Remember Jovan! I never acknowledged your mother as a daughter-in-law. So you three are not my grandchildren. You must not dream and have a big head bearing the name of Fuad bin Alarkam. I will admit me as your grandmother. Fuad Bin Alarkam my son is still a bachelor. No wife let alone children.” Grandma Soraya is getting louder.

“Masya Allah, Grandma. What exactly was my mama's fault, until my grandmother hated her so much.” Jovan tried to ask. The point where rain began to fall on his hair.

“Too many mistakes Anita's! He has destroyed my family's honor and dignity. At once dispelled all the hopes and great ideals of Fuad, my son.” Soraya's grandmother pointed at Jovan's face that was getting wet with rainwater.

“Original you know! Because of Anita, I failed to make out with a minister! And because of the Anita who was the village, my son failed to become an important person in this country. One more! because of Anita, my son Fuad became unemployed and lived a miserable life, almost he was fired from the Alarkam family. You think it doesn't hurt?” Grandma Soraya's index finger more and more flinched Jovan's face which was still fixed at the original distance.

“Lost self-esteem how, Grandma?” Jovan tried to challenge, impediment. Wishing to tear down the wall of arrogance of that super arrogant old woman a little.

“You want to know?” Grandma Sorya is hooked.

“Iya, New.” Jovan answered kalem.

“You're ready to miss it? or you already know and pretend to be stupid. Anita's time never told you?” Grandma Soraya asked back.

“Not yet, Nek.” Jovan's right hand repeatedly rubbed his wet face with rainwater. Luckily the rain this time was not accompanied by a lightning strike and thunderbolt.

“Jovan, you are an illegitimate child!” granny Soraya's screeching.

Duars!

Like the sound of lightning, it struck Jovan's eardrum between the rain and the wind that blew louder.

“You are a child born out of wedlock. Si Anita was pregnant before marriage with Fuad, my son!” Grandma Soraya's voice grew higher, as if she wanted to be heard by the whole world.

“Masha Allah.” Jovan rubbed his face.

“Alah! you know what? You were the kid yesterday afternoon. Mana understands that business. You just eat, sleep, play games and waste money Fuad, my son. Just like your mother. The poor woman wants to live a good life, hitchhiking to a rich family, to the point that my son is slandered and framed.”

“Astagfirstlah, Mother. That's not true at all!” Jovan denies it hard. “Dad deliberately made up the story, so that grandma would allow her to marry mama. Didn't grandma and family back then not approve of their relationship?” Jovan conveys the truth he knows.

“And until whenever I will never approve it. Already know me and my whole family does not approve, why did Anita maksa? He should have been self-conscious about his situation. A waitress, pake pretentious want to marry a rich family child. Women don't have brains!” Soraya's grandmother continued to issue blasphemies.

Jovan was speechless.

“He thinks, we're fools who can be lied to by stupid women!  The uneducated woman. Pake all-purpose pregnant show to trap my son. Say the same to your mama, if begging is not the way. If you want to feel like living in a rich man's house, already a maid in my house. Don't trap my son everything!” Grandma Soraya spilled all her frustration.

“Allahu Akbar. That makes the story dad, Grandma. Since I first knew her, she was already self-conscious, she had asked me not to continue the relationship, especially until marriage. But father remains maksa, because he loves mama.” very much Jovan tried to clarify though not sure his voice could be heard clearly by Grandma Soraya. The rushing wind and rain had drowned out some of his voice.

“Eh, Jovan. I'd like to ask you one more time. What are you coming here for?”

“You're looking for dad, Nek.”

“Why should you look for?”

“Because it has been almost a month not to go home.”

“Well, missed right? If it's my son, it's really love with Anita. He couldn't have left it. couldn't have gone home for months!” Grandma Soraya's lips grew louder.

“You want to know why my son Fuad is now gone from your house? Because he began to realize, all this time has been deceived and deceived by the Anita and her family, maybe also including you children,” he continued.

Soraya's grandmother whispered something to the housekeeper standing behind her. With a slightly tensed face of fear, the woman was shocked to enter her employer's house.

Jovan's mouth was still open and his eyes were enlarged. His body shivered. Lips freeze, tongue is mute. No longer able to defend or talk anything. His mind imagined, how would the facial expressions of his two sisters if they heard the direct humiliation that came out of Grandma Soraya's mouth.

"Now you know.” Grandma Soraya resumed her conversation. “That's why I hate your mom so much. And not to acknowledge you as my grandchildren. I'm not even sure if you're Fuad's flesh and blood, my son.” Grandma Soraya stopped her words.

The woman, her domestic assistant who had entered in the crowd, had returned and offered something to Grandma Soraya.

“Your grandfather's family in Bandung, has justified everything until my son Fuad is broken and destroyed. Failed to become a minister's son-in-law, failed to become a state official and now his company was destroyed. Fuad is so sorry. He was frustrated and stressed and almost committed suicide by Anita, the unlucky carrier." Grandma Soraya's voice was slightly choked, it seemed that she was powerless to hold back her cries.

Jovan was flabbergasted, his sight instantly blurred. Her tears could no longer be held back. Urging out rushing flow fused with rainwater that continued to wander it mercilessly.

“Hi son of a beggar despicable!” snarled Grandma Soraya later.

Jovan straightened his face back to his grandmother who had lost her faith, ethics and conscience.

“Take alms money from me!” Soraya's grandmother spoke while throwing the roll of money that had been squeezed.

“Bring your sister to the shaman and never come here again. Si Anita, you and your two sisters, haram set foot in this house including the surrounding yard!” granny Soraya

A moment later, the woman was as hard-hearted as a new coral in the ocean and liked to wear jewelry like a walking gold shop, turned her body and entered her house led by her domestic assistant.

Jovan turned his back. Out of the courtyard without concern for the wet blue money roll and had been washed away by the rainwater.

‘Yes Allah, what test are You giving to Your servant. I am willing to accept all these trials, but I beg You not to give very painful suffering to my mother and two young servant sisters. Give the servant guidance and free the family of the servant from the root of all this pain’

Jovan immediately started his old motorcycle. Running fast leaving her grandmother's hell house. Penetrating rain and gusty winds headed for the guard post to retrieve his student card.

Jovan went back to running his bike, after that. He returned home with a million wounded and bloodied hearts.

"Dede, I'm sorry that Aa hasn't been able to bring me home. Patience is dear. Get well soon, pity mama." Jovan again wiped his tears while kissing Naufal who was lying weak with his body temperature still high...
