The Memory Of Heavenly Hymn

The Memory Of Heavenly Hymn
8. Lake God

Everything is reciprocal, such as being given a portion of bad circumstances to crawl face to receive an abundance of goodness as part of the reward. As with any question, there should be an answer despite waiting a long time or looking for it yourself. As in the mind of the human child, always sticking out what will happen after doing something, whether it is a bad thing or a good thing. Cause is the beginning, and effect is the end that has not really ended because it is most likely to be the determination of the next step.

Just as Yuka asks about Mika's choice, and the tip of the little girl must still live life as usual for her belief that all will have a fair ending. Likewise, the plan by Yashuhiro, and Ryuji to uncover who is behind the serial murders, also intends to enter the place where the most injustice needs to commit acts of pretense and show helplessness.

Manipulatively, they understand how to be mistaken. However, in that way they can move to bring out the devil from the disgust of being treated arbitrarily just because of caste.

Sitting Yashuhiro and his adoptive brother on the spacious terrace of the Arisu family residence which became their temporary residence.

“How next?” Yashuhiro asked.

“Go to where the victims found,” Ryuji said without turning his attention to the rocks of the yard. And, the answer is to cover the conversation to be used to enjoy the night view in the summer.

Just as quiet as the state of the Lake God temple that was visited again by Yuka with questions to be turned off by the heart penentram answer. Although in the full range of expressions crammed up the chases to say when first spoken, he endured the rush, and climbed the rocky stairs slowly.

Frogs were snoring, waterfalls were rumbling, crickets were creaking their steps as they looked at the end of the temple roof. Yuka stopped when she noticed a different sound mixed with another sound, and it made her walk more quietly than before.

Sizzling the figure out of the lake beside the temple, a large white body moved slowly, as the creature headed for the land a dazzling light made Yuka narrow her eyes. The white snake changed its shape into a human form of the male sex with a mane of cotton color along the waist. His body shone brightly full of majesty, once the set foot on his ground of light slowly faded away.

He walked without leaving the impression of glory, each step seemed to bless all things, causing the hot atmosphere to cool, making tension into comfort, turning doubt into courage.

“You, don't fear me?” it sounded beautiful as he spoke.

“This is not the first time I saw you.”

Yuka came out from her hiding place without fear of staring at the golden netra belonging to the noble figure of the owner of Lake Seira. He pulled out a scale that he got when the umpteenth time to visit the temple because he liked the sound of the bell and its silence.

Yuka at the age of 7, when she had just gotten to know Ryuji, was sent for education. And, at the place where he demanded knowledge, his foster brother came to visit, and acted impolitely in the holy place, sitting at the altar of the temple eating the fruits of the offerings. However, when observed for longer, the person's body was larger than Ryuji's was still 8 years old. Yuka observes all the man-like behavior of her brother until the man exits the temple, and an oddity occurs in his body. The dazzling rays blurred the view, the human body turned into the form of a creeping creature, very large. And, moving slowly towards the lake, then splashing himself.

The girl flinched as the Lake God was already standing in front of her as fast as the blink of an eye, taking the scales that were in her hands, “ini from my tail, did you make a talisman?”

Yungsu Kazuya shook his head slowly, “hamba make friends,” great-grandson.

Nod the head deciphering the understanding of the Lake God while returning his scales, “will I tell you about the lonely fox, want to hear it?” winking, the lentic hair that shaded his eyes became a charm in addition to the luster of the retina.

“That's lucky if the servant is allowed to hear the story from you, Lord of Lake.”

“Before, somehow long ago for humans, there was a fox slaughtering an adam child because of his hatred. Making white feathers smooth blood color, the puffed-up heart gripped fresh belongs to the person who was killed. Until one day meeting the Mountain Goddess, the wild fox was bathed, scented by purity, cared for with a subtle swab of affection. The goddess was initially worried about the fox who still held a grudge against the humans, while the humans would come to pray to her. He kept the unrest patiently teaching the fox to accept the existence of human beings, then gradually the fox obeyed all his words for not wanting to be expelled, and ended up alone again.”

“Then?”

“The fox declared himself to be the guardian of the temple of the Mountain Goddess. However, it is not that easy, the wild fox received a lot of criticism from the Gods for its vile past, while the Mountain Goddess does basically have purity just saying there is no harm in cleaning the dirty assessed when there is still a willingness to improve. Although still somewhat hesitant to accept, they chose to surrender on condition that they would throw the fox to hell if it repeats again."

Yuka's lips closed tightly forming a straight line. His gaze focused on the golden iris of the divine figure as if witnessing something from there.

“The fox is aware of its existence that allows it to be a problem, evidenced by the chaos of the seizure of territory created by humans. Not only do they use intelligence, but also muscle energy, but they also ally themselves with other beings as a force for greed. He was also among the victims with the treaty ties that strangled his neck, not to be separated unless one of them died. The fox was separated from his master, confined to the darkest land full of illusions to be used someday. What do you think of her heart full of wounds, and just healed, and then experiencing an incident like the beginning?” on the water he stood asking the fox for sadness in his story.

“Sudge, he will reply.”

Lake God tilts head, “like that?”

“Hamba taste so.”

Lake God nods his head, then holds water from above with his hands, “I think you have a question.”

Yuka gasped, trying to neutralize herself from her shock from being caught harboring questions, she should not be surprised, in front of her was a God who could stand on water was supposed to be excused.

“Does God only come out once a few years?”

Yuka frowned because she felt something was wrong. Of course, he forgot the original question because it was shifted by the content of the present mind, namely his amazement at the great figure before him.

“Not really," replied the Lake God lightly.

“Then why did that time come to the temple?”

The God slowly withdrew his hand, and pointed at Yuka.

“Because there is a small child singing a familiar song in the ear.”

“But servants often sing it after that, the God of the Lake does not appear.”

The majestic figure only smiled.

“Then now?”

“I smell a scent I know.”
