Episode 36 of Marriage

Mr. Kent Chen gave me a piece of paper with a wedding vow. Richard and Lien wei memorized the wedding vows while in the car.

The parents of the bridegroom said:” We gave up our child for marriage.“

The pastor invites both brides to sit in their respective places with both parents and the ring-bearer's child.(When the bride and groom enter the room, the music/organ singing soft songs and worship participants are welcome to stand by the priest).

After the bride and groom arrive, the Pastor invites all congregations with the bride and groom to sit down and the Service begins with the advice of the marriage of husband and wife.

After the prayer of thanksgiving the Word of God continued with the Marriage

The pastor came down from the podium and invited the two brides to stand up saying ;

" we are gathered here at the wedding of Richard Wang and Lien wei before the Lord and before the congregation. Both of you have come to me and asked that your marriage be confirmed before God and His Church. For it with full awareness you are saying the promise you made."

“ I am Richard Wang, accept Lien Wei as my only wife, for my nurturing, from today and the following days, in good or bad condition, rich or poor, to me, sick or healthy, for I love and I cherish, until death divorce us. By the Holy Word of God, I pledge this promise earnestly”.

The pastor said to the bride :

Lien Wei, I ask you to repeat my words :

“ I Lien Wei accept Richard Wang as my only husband, for my nurturing, from today and the following days, in good or bad circumstances, rich or poor, to me, sick or healthy, for I love and I cherish, until death divorce us. By the Holy Word of God, I pledge this promise earnestly”

With the ring in his hand, the pastor continued his words :

“ This ring is the epitome of perfection and the seal of eternity. This ring is a metal that has been tested and proven its purity. This ring is the most appropriate symbol of love for both of you. May your love and faith be proved in the test of time. As gold, this ring has proven its purity in fire, and may the household of these two brothers endure until death separates you”.

The pastor said to the groom:

Richard Wang while you put this ring on the ring finger of the bride's right hand I ask you to repeat what I said :

With this ring, I accept you as my wife and with the love that comes out of my heart, this ring I give you’.

Then the pastor continued on to the bride:

Lien Wei as you insert this ring on the ring finger of the groom's right hand I ask you to repeat what I said :

With this ring, I accept you as my husband and with the love that comes out of my heart, this ring I give you’.
