Ken was visibly emotional hearing reports from his confidants. He has obtained evidence for what happened.

He seemed to be very angry with himself because some of his confidants had betrayed his trust.

Some of his men were involved in an attempted assassination plot against Azzura. Ken was sure that if he did not follow Azzura, then their plan would run a hundred percent.
