The Love of Jessica

The flashback

The aroma of the drugs permeated Bella's sense of smell nearly three weeks ago. Every day he had to accompany the unconscious Bu Lidya on a hospital bed. Almost a week Ms. Lidya was in the ICU room and now the middle-aged woman has been moved to the inpatient room.

Bella clasped Bu Lidya's hand, occasionally dabbing the handbag with teary eyes. His heart felt a deep sadness as Bu Lidya's condition continued like this, there was no change whatsoever.

Bella turned her gaze when she heard the sound of the door opening. Both corners of his lips were pulled inward as he saw the presence of Siva, Fery and an ustad at the door.

An ustad is called Fery and Siva to help pray for Bu Lidya. Of course, all of that was on the advice of one of the doctors who handled Bu Lidya.

"Assalamualaikum ..." said Mr. Ustad.

"Waalaikumsalam ..." replied simultaneously Bella, Siva and Fery.

After discussing a little history of the disease in Bu Lidya. Mr. Ustadz touched Bu Lidya's hand and opened his eyelids to see Bu Lidya's eyes.

"I apologize in advance, is there anyone waiting for Bu Lidya? maybe a distant child or brother?" ask Mr. Ustadz while looking at Bella and Siva.

"It looks like there is no Tadz, Mama only has two daughters" Siva said without thinking.

Mr. Ustadz looked back at Mr. Lidya. He pressed the base of Bu Lidya's thumb for a moment to confirm something.

"Jessica" muttered Bella in a soft voice.

Everyone turned their eyes towards Bella because suddenly she mentioned a name that made Fery wrong.

"Can I call him to this hospital? because according to my presumption, Ms. Lidya seems to be waiting for someone to come," said Mr. Ustadz with meaningful eyes.

"We try Tadz, we want to go out for a while to negotiate, please help pray for our Mama Tadz," said Bella before passing from in front of Mr. Ustadz.

The three of them were standing in front of Bu Lidya's room. They're discussing how to get Jessica to come see Lidya.

"Emmm .. if I don't think you're the one who met her husband Jessica. What if only Ezar and I came there?" bella's suggestion after hearing the idea Siva spoke.

Siva's eyeballs moved irregularly because thinking about the advice of his sister, this time there is no harm if he agreed to the advice of Bella.

"Okay, then I'll take care of Mama here. Good luck, Bel." Siva looked at Bella expectantly.

Bella immediately opened the phone that had been in her hands to call Ezar, although she herself did not know how the results would be. Whether her husband wants to accompany her to meet Jerry in his office or not.

The meeting with the company officials was completed just before lunchtime. Jerry immediately walked out of the meeting room to his own room to check some of the report files that his secretary had prepared this morning.

"Sorry sir, there are guests waiting for you below. It looks like something very important" Dani said after receiving a phone call from the reception lobby.

"Put them in the living room, I'll meet him," Jerry said, confirming the buttons of his suit.

After spending a few minutes, Jerry finally arrived in front of the usual room to receive guests. Jerry was stunned when he saw the two people sitting inside.

"Good day" said Jerry, sitting on a single sofa in front of a couple who had been present in Jessica's past.

"Good day, sir," said Ezar and Bella simultaneously.

"What brought you here to see me?" ask Jerry.

"We want to ask for your help to bring Jessica to see Mama" said Bella with eyes that had dewed.

Jerry raised one eyebrow when he heard Bella's request. However, his gaze instantly turned sad when he heard how Bu Lidya's current condition was from Bella.

"We sincerely hope to help you, sir," said Ezar with hopeful eyes.

The atmosphere became silent because Jerry was just silent with a facial expression that could not be guessed. I don't know what he's thinking right now until his face looks so serious.

"Well, I'll help you guys, I'll bring Jessica later but there are conditions," said Jerry who managed to make Ezar and Bella look at each other.

"What conditions do you ask for, sir?" ask Bella.

"Don't let Fery and his wife be there. I don't want Jessica to meet them because it's hard to control Jessica if she's already in anger" said Jerry, staring at Ezar and Bella alternately.

There was no choice for Bella and Ezar and they agreed to Jerry's request. The conditions given by Jerry are very easy, Bella just hide Siva in another room so as not to meet with Jessica.

"Alhamdulillah ..." muttered Bella in a soft voice. He was a little relieved that Jerry was willing to help him.

Flashback Off

Siva and Fery went hand in hand after safety. The two of them walk to Bu Lidya's room to find out the condition of Bu Lidya after meeting Jessica.

"Mas, what's the nurse? looks like something's bad, huh Mas." Siva chattered beside Fery but there was no response from her husband.

Fery was busy imagining Jessica in his mind. It felt like he wanted to re-mas two solid chunks that were behind Jessica's body. Maybe it can be said if Fery is not sane anymore

"Mas, Mama Mas!" siva said as he grabbed Fery's arm when he saw a nurse pushing medical equipment into Ms. Lidya's room.

Feelings of anxiety and bad thoughts are now mixed into one in Siva. He pulled Fery's hand to make it go faster.

Brakk!! The sound of the door Siva opened loudly. He was stunned when he saw everyone in Bu Lidya's room.
