The Legend of Senopati

The Legend of Senopati
The Pinanggih Anom

“I challenge you!”

Pinanggih Anom immediately snatched Ki Jagaraksa's words even though the elder had brandished the Sword of Jalakumbang which is considered one of the strongest swords in the archipelago.

“But, I want to apply for one condition.” Pinanggih Anom stared cynically at Ki Jagaraksa.

“Come to your terms! This battle risked my wibawaku as the outermost gatekeeper and security of the disciples of the Valley of the Hundred Swords.”

Ki Jagaraksa and Pinanggih Anom had a face fight. They both did not turn.

It was already a tradition of the Valley of the Hundred Swords when anyone wanted to fight, whether it was in the Demon Flower Festival or outside the festival, the two people had to stand a step away, one step away, then do a face-to-face fight for fifteen seconds.

Pinadjut Anom famously had a death stare that knocked down his opponent's mentality before the match. That was why, he had always won despite being challenged hundreds of times by the gold badge disciple who wanted to snatch the jade badge from his hands.

But this time it was different.

A killing aura emanated from Ki Jagaraksa and Pinadjutgan Anom, as if they both had a personal grudge that would never be completed except with a death fight.

Pinanggih Anom looked at Ki Jagaraksa like a hungry wild animal's lust to see prey. The killer cold instantly spread even though Pinanggih Anom did nothing.

If Pinanggih Anom has a killer look, Ki Jagaraksa looks at Pinanggih Anom as if he has killed hundreds of people, then put the name Pinanggih Anom as the thousandth person he will kill.

The look of murderous lust and the original murderous gaze collided into one. The energy vibration collapses the leaves that begin to turn yellow. There was an earthquake in the central field of the Valley of the Hundred Swords until Ki Aluna and Prabu Anchor Turi came to make sure there was no bloodshed before the Festival of Demon Flower took place.

“During this time, some disciples glorified you as the strongest elder, let alone with the Swords of Talismans that you have. Witnessed by the other two elders, I want to apply for one condition. If I win, then let me go on a journey without having to challenge Ki Aluna and Prabu Anchor Turi.”

A strong wind appeared accompanied by a wave of blackish-white energy.

A bigger earthquake happened. The ground in the middle of the field split apart then appeared a gigantic mirror with pitch-black glass like an illusionary niche.

“Seal!” Raden Bratasena was suddenly in the middle of where the establishment of Pinenggih Anom and Ki Jagaraksa. “But, this fight can only happen at least two weeks after the completion of the Festival of Demon Flower.”

The incident slowly spread throughout the disciples, including Mahesa.

The next day, Mahesa went to the Blue Sword Dormitory alone. He just wanted to tell this information to Sadewa Pasha who happened to have no training schedule on that day.

Sadewa pretended not to know, but last night he did not sleep because there was an additional training session from Prabu Bratasena. He saw firsthand how Pinanggih Anom challenged Ki Jagaraksa and it was very unfortunate given the reputation of Ki Jagaraksa in the eyes of the swordsman Nusantara.

“In my opinion, it is impossible for Anom's Advanced Pin to be allowed to wander. Suppose we talk sword skills, Anom Advanced is not yet quite worthy to climb the trail of two legends of the Valley of the Hundred Swords who managed to defeat two elders.” Mahesh expressed his opinion in front of Sadewa.

“I agree. This fight was only a subterfuge that Pinadjutkan Anom made to provoke the other disciples. He only wanted conflict to occur between elders one, two, and three. There must be social jealousy, especially in the mind of Ki Aluna Prabu who now serves as the elder of one.”

Mahesa takes Sadewa Pasha out. This conversation was a little uncomfortable when it continued in the Blue Sword Dormitory. Not to mention when there are students who come in and out of the dorm, then hear and report their conversation to Raden Bratasena.

Tracing the forest and the path, they arrive at a hut where Mahesa used to meditate in search of new movements. He often spends time here. Sometimes, there were demons coming to invite him to fight.

“A very suitable place for your training.” Mahesa sipped her coffee, which was still puffing smoke. “Nobody knows this place except me, you, and the three elders of the Valley of the Hundred Swords. Twenty-minute trip is enough to make other students reluctant to come here.”

Then, Mahesa continued. “I'm sure Prabu Bratasena is able to resolve the conflicts that occur between the elders.”
