SKKM CHAPTER 2 - The Concubine I

Not to lose his surprise at the fact that his father secretly has a concubine, now Draco asks him to take responsibility for the girl.

"What the fuck!" Izek got more emotional to the point of wanting to hit the face of his own biological father.

But, Draco seemed relaxed because he felt the presence of his concubine was not without cause.

"Grace.." call Draco to the 20-year-old girl. Draco looked at Grace in disbelief at the little girl he accidentally married ten years ago.

"Include it is my son, his name is Izek. He's King today so you're automatically in charge now. So, consider Izek your husband" Draco said.

Grace shook her head with tears as her hands signaled that she did not want Izek to be her husband.

"Didn't you uphold the custom where you live, now you also have to uphold the custom in my place. Who becomes King is entitled to concubines" Draco added.

Grace kept shaking her head and her crying became more and more so. His hand signals for rejection.

And the interaction was witnessed by Izek, for a moment the man's anger muffled.

Izek looked at his father who was reciprocated by Draco.

"Yes, he can't talk" Draco said as if he knew what his son had in mind.

Izek exhaled violently and tried to control his emotions. "Explain everything to me!"

Before explaining everything, Draco asks the waiter who had been accompanying Grace to take the girl to his room.

Draco and Izek are in Grace's studio. In the painting studio there are many landscape paintings painted by Grace alone.

"Name Grace, I met her when she was ten. At that time I was visiting Alpha village to meet with the chief there because there was a problem at the border of the territory." Draco started telling stories ten years ago.

Grace was considered an illegitimate child because she was born without a father figure, her mother was a rape victim who was exiled in the village. The woman raised Grace alone until the age of the child was five years old, Grace's mother died of illness and left Grace alone.

Since that time Grace began not to speak at all plus discrimination from villagers because Grace was considered an unlucky carrier.

Grace survives by scavenging for food scraps of the residents or the little girl will go to the forest in search of fruits.

"Based on the mute girl, hahaha.." The kids in Alpha village were bullying ten-year-old Grace.

"Do you want this?" one of the children showed off the bread then threw it away and stepped on the ground. "Now, eat!"

With trembling hands, Grace grabbed the bread that was already mixed with the ground. She tried to clean the bread so it could be eaten because her frail body recently made Grace unable to find food.

"Don't eat!" exclaimed Draco who at that time passed because he was going to leave the village.

Grace looked at Draco scared, her body shaking but Draco gave her some money.

"Buy some decent food!" draco said later.

Grace's smile expands as she can hold money, her hand beckoning Draco to thank her.

Grace rushes to the bakery to buy new bread but the store owner accuses Grace of stealing. The girl tried to explain using her hand gesture but no one believed it.

The money Draco gave away and Grace was thrown out, the little girl wept dumbstruck to the point of her body. Luckily Draco watched from a distance and caught the little girl on her way down.

"Where are your parents?" draco asked who was answered by Grace with a headband.

Draco then gives Grace a knife with the royal insignia of the mobster De Servant.

"When you're treated unfairly, use this knife and show it the sign then that person will be afraid of you" Draco said.

Draco did not know about the custom in Alpha village, when a man gave a knife or sword to a girl in the village it means that the man proposed to the girl.

Feeling proposed, Grace tried to tell the chief. All Grace had in mind was freedom. He wants to get out of the village with Draco whom he considers a savior.

The chieftain withheld Draco's departure, agreeing that Grace should leave the village as soon as possible because the boy was considered an unlucky bearer so the chieftain and the whole village asked Draco to marry Grace at that time.

Draco could have resisted and revolted but seeing Grace's innocent eyes made him powerless to resist.

Draco agrees to marry Grace by custom but everything in Alpha village must keep it a secret or De Servant will slaughter them to extinction.
