"Yes...There's something I want to talk to you about the future of our relationship" Rayend said without a second taking her eyes off the pretty face of the girl sitting glued to her side.
"Our relationship? Brother hasn't expressed any feelings to me, and I haven't given any answers yet. HM...isn't it necessary to be lovers that you have to express your feelings first?", asked Tiya to return Rayend's gaze.
"Alright, I'll do it now" Rayend said as he crouched down before Tiya.
"Chintiya Carolina, I'm Rayendra Leonard looking to propose to you soon. Will you be my wife? Marry me and age with me" Rayend said earnestly.
Rayend's words really made Tiya speechless. The girl looked confused and could not believe what she had just heard from Rayend's mouth.
"Ti.", said Rayend while holding Tiya's hand fingers that felt increasingly cold. "I'm waiting for your answer".
"K-sister... I-i..."
Tiya did not continue his words. Suddenly stopped by itself. The girl was so surprised by what Rayend did. Of course it wasn't the kind of thing Tiya wanted. He asks Rayend to declare his love for him. But Rayend proposed to her spontaneously like that.
Rayend held Tiya's hand. "I'm serious about this proposal. I'm an adult, old enough to sail a household ark. Like you said to your friends. I'm an old man. Your words are true. Then it's time I get married to the woman I love".
Tiya widened both of her eyes. "But that's not what I mean, brother, when I say those words the situation between us is very different. I was upset", Tiya answered straightening out the meaning of her words.
"Not a problem", Rayend smiled back.
"But I seriously want to marry you, Tiya. Our meeting was very brief, but I don't doubt you because I know your sister Ellena and Aaron. You're also my sister's best friend. I will not hesitate to ask you to marry me and make you my wife".
It seemed Tiya closed her eyes digesting what she had just heard clearly.
"Sister.a-I want to be a doctor. I-I'm not ready to get married yet" said Tiya slowly as she looked down at Rayend's sturdy fingers squeezing her hands.
Rayend raised Tiya's chin to look at her. "After marriage you continue your studies until you become a scholar. I promise I will support you and will not restrain you from achieving your dream of becoming a doctor, Tiya".
"Only one that I cannot tolerate is delaying pregnancy. I don't allow it, if you put it off" Rayend said firmly.
A moment both of them fell silent, looking at each other meaningfully. Rayend was still crouching in front of Tiya and wrapped the two girls' thighs with his hands.
"Give me some time, sister, give me some time to think about the wedding you're offering. To be honest, I never thought about getting married at such a young age. Understand, all of this is very fast and shocking to me" Tiya said without even blinking a glance at Rayend.
Rayend smiled hearing that. "Of course, you can think about it and I will wait for your answer" Rayend replied gently rubbing Tiya's silent face in silence.
"Even though you haven't given your answer yet, we're still lovers right?" asked Rayend gently.
Spontaneous Tiya nodded her head in earnest.
Rayend smiled hearing that. "We should celebrate our anniversary. Let's say goodbye to your sister" said Rayend, pulling Tiya's hand to follow her.
"So wait.", said Tiya stopped Rayend's steps. "Do you know where my full name is?".
Rayend smiled hearing such questionable out of Tiya's tiny lips. "It's not hard. Knowing all about you is easy" replied Rayend.
Rayend stepped back and pulled Tiya's hand. "Uh, brother hasn't answered my question".
The two entered the house with smiles adorning their faces and holding hands.
It was the waiter who was preparing the dishes at the dinner table. There was also Hardi who greeted Rayend and Tiya kindly. The man said Aaron and Ellena were in his study.
"Tock..
"Tock..
"Come in!". The sound of Aaron's baritone.
Cheeklin..."Are we bothering you?", Rayend looked at Aaron and Ellena alternately as Ellena sat on the armrest of Aaron's work chair while hugging her husband's shoulder.
"Hm..Uh...Of course not" Ellena replied wrongly as she stood up. He smiled to see Rayend tightly clutching Tiya's fingers blushing in shame.
"Are you guys here now?", asked Aaron spontaneously.
"Of course, my friend. And I'll make sure we'll be in-laws soon" replied Rayend confidently. Tiya's face turned red hearing Rayend's words.
"Tiya and I should leave now. There is something we have to discuss" said Rayend absurd. "Thank you for your sister-in-law's help", Seloroh Rayend.
Laughter of Aaron and Ellena. "Remember you're not married, don't be silly. You have to hold him down, man", cried Aaron mocked Rayend.
"Just calm. I know the limit", Rayend rubbed his nape.
"I'm putting my sister on you" Ellena said.
"Just relax Ell, your beloved sister is safe with me", Rayend replied shortly before returning home.
