Chapters 13. Dinner

The clock in the office shows at 5 p.m. After going through meetings with partners and some production teams that are quite time and mind-consuming, finally Benjamin and Shakira can take a deep breath.

They were in Benjamin's room with Maria discussing the results of today's meeting.

"Sir, the results of the meeting will be sent by email following with the presentation file", said Maria closed the discussion of the results of the meeting and resigned from the room.

Benjamin and Shakira were left in the room.

"Please wait here for a while, I won't be long" Benjamin told Shakira.

Raising one eyebrow, Shakira asked "What's wrong with waiting? it'll be home soon, I haven't been back in the room yet either".

"Can't you just not ask me and argue with me?" benjamin replied with a sharp eye looking at Shakira.

"Ok I'll be honest with you. I owe you an explanation, Kira", Benjamin replied with a deep breath.

"I'm not interested in Lena at all. To me Lena was just a friend in my circle of friends. Both of our parents agreed to make a reservation because they were afraid that this child would become a weathered bachelor" Benjamin explained casually.

"Keep, if you refuse the engagement is there no problem in the future?"

Benjamin just shook his head and poked his lips.

"This is my problem, let me solve it. You don't have to be afraid of Lena. We have nothing to do", Benjamin said, rolling his eyes making Shakira misbehave.

Dessert came, the night was getting darker. The stars scattered in the sky increasingly add to the atmosphere of being romantic. Plus musical accompaniment.

"I'm taking you out to dinner because there's something I want to tell you, Kira" Benjamin said softly covering his nervousness.

"I want to say thank you for being here and for making me laugh. Stay like this, Kira. I've never been close to any woman in the last few years. I feel happy that I have not felt for a long time. Stay like this" Benjamin explained with a look of eyes that seemed to miss someone.

Shakira, who had learned of Benjamin's story through Mama Seila before, pretended not to know and said, "Well, I will be your friend. But not a friend to be bullied you.. keep that in mind, Young Master Benjamin!!!!", with a little joking.

And that dinner went with laughter. The story flows from both. More Shakira tells the story and Benjamin as usual becomes a good listener.

Arriving at the door of the apartment, they looked at each other. Something's different now. They try to deny their feelings.

Ah let the time that answered her inner Shakira then say thank you and good night, they parted ways and headed for their respective disputes.
