“Don't you know how dangerous it would be if you ruined history?
One of the men you killed earlier could have been the ancestor of an important person, one who had influence in his time. If you end the man's lineage, before he has a child..”.
Rara was walking back and forth in her bedroom, where the Wira returned them. The man was standing in the middle of the room with his hands on his feet, looking only to pay attention.
Rara is angry at the hero, because now all she wants to do is hit the Hero for causing her to be so worried.
And what makes Rara even more frustrating is that most Wira will only feel amused if he really does it.
But finally Rara can be calm enough to explain to Wira that what the man did was wrong, and her explanation is now cut off with a statement, “ you are worried about a trivial battle.”
Trivial? Rara's mind screamed. When history could have changed?
Rara's eyes narrowed angrily at Wira while asking the question, “what was that battle? Is it recorded history?”
“that earlier was nothing more than a small battle between the neighbors of the village, not so influential.”
Something changed from the voice of the Hero that really disturbed Rara's ear. Perhaps for a warrior like Wira the battle is so exalted, truly the most important part of their lives.
They live for it. They didn't think at all, who was killed by the stabbing of their swords.
Even as they retold the battle, there was no implied remorse or pity, there was only pride and satisfaction that the victor was so formidable that he could tell the story of his battle.
“ You don't understand what I mean, Wira. That battle was in the past. It has already happened, with a result, and time continues to reflect on the outcome of that battle. But if anyone like you, who was not originally from that battle, just shows up, to change the course, killing people who should still be able to survive.”.
“avoid yourself? Rara's birthday, surprised by something completely unthinkable.
“ So why didn't you obey your teacher's advice?”
“I obey him,” said Wira. “both sides in the battle have long been in conflict. There were some survivors from the battle. But then there was another group that hated both sides fighting earlier, and took advantage of the situation, by coming to the location when the battle was about to end, he said, and then end the lives of those who are still alive.
All of them died in that battle, Rara. So what difference does it make if someone dies in my hands, or in someone else's hands?”
Turns out Wira knew what Rara meant, “why didn't you say that from earlier? And how did you know?”
for the first time, Wira sounded fed up, "i came with the third group back then, vile people. They play with their victims, making them tormented."
