Chapter 15 - Preparation.
While Ethan is delaying the upcoming Stampede, Mallorca City is in a state of panic when the Adventure Guild and Lord give a warning about the upcoming Stampede.
The Knights are directing the civilians towards the underground bunker Ethan created in case of an emergency last winter and just finished exactly a week ago.
"Everyone, here! Prioritize parents and children!"
"Don't jostle! Oye! Do you want me to throw it away!?"
The panicked Citizens did not listen to the words of the Knights.
"Let me go in first! Hey!"
"Hey! Don't leave me!"
"Mother! Mom, where are you!?"
It was total chaos. The situation is really Chaos so some children are separated from their parents.
As such a situation continued, a voice rang out loud.
"Hey! Are you all deaf! Line up right and ask the kids and parents! Give way to those who are sick! Even if you march, you won't instantly die because the Monster entered the City!"
Instantly the surroundings became silent, no one else spoke and moved from his place at all under the gaze of a large man with a fierce face.
"Now, if you understand then immediately make a line. Don't waste the Knights' time any longer" he said.
Hearing that, the Citizens ended up marching according to the direction of the Knights. No one else would dare to do stupid things when the Man had already given the order.
Just then, an old man who had quite a messy appearance came close to the fierce Man earlier.
"Joshua, you're still very firm as always" the old man smiled.
The fierce man glanced at the old man, and replied to him as if uninterested.
"Of course, and you, stop drinking during the day, Olson," she replied.
The old man, Olson laughed out loud as Joshua spoke like that.
"Haha! You're really like my mom, you know?" said playfully.
Joshua no longer retaliated and simply looked back at the Citizens. This, made Olson more want to tease him further.
"By the way, where is Young Master? I haven't seen him since? Is she scared and-"
Just then, Joshua pulled his sword quickly and placed it in front of Olson's neck.
"If you say anything stupid about Young Master, I'm really going to cut your neck off now, Olson" he said.
Olson was confused and scared. Joshua is one of his rivals, and he knows very well the power of Joshua. But, right now, he was not even able to see his sword movements at all.
"No-no, I can't possibly dare to do such a brash thing, I'm just a little curious" Olson replied trying to deny.
Joshua was still looking at him with a gaze with killing intent. This was the first time Olson had seen Joshua in this angry state.
"Nothing next time" said Joshua and immediately lowered his Sword.
Olson breathed a sigh of relief. He really felt like he was going to die right then and there.
Just then, a childish voice entered his second ear.
"Commander Joshua, is the evacuation over?"
Joshua and Olson who heard that, immediately turned around and gave a respectful greeting.
"Young Master, no problem, everything is done" Joshua replied.
Ethan nodded and then he stared at Olson.
"So, who is this Old Man? Acquaintances?" ask him to Joshua.
Before Joshua introduced, Olson went ahead and introduced himself.
"It's nice to meet you, Young Master. I'm Olson, the Guild Master of the Adventure Guild, this is the first time we've met in person" he said with a polite smile.
"So, thanks for the quick Guild report so we can take action quickly," Ethan replied flatly.
Ethan did not care at all about it and he stared back at Joshua.
"Gather the Knights, Stampede will be coming soon in 2 Hours from now. Oh, in addition, tell all Knights, if they see any strange Humanoids, report to you or me immediately, this is absolute." Ethan's orders.
Joshua nodded. "I understand, I will tell this to the Knights," he replied respectfully.
Olson was confused, Ethan's words were obviously very strange.
"Sorry Young Master, but how do you know if Stampede will happen in 2 hours?" tanyanya.
Yeah, it shouldn't have been possible for Ethan to know unless, he came to see it himself.
It wasn't Ethan who answered, it was Joshua who answered Old Olson's question.
"Young Master went to the Black Forest to check if the report was true earlier, so it's only natural that Young Master knew," Joshua replied flatly but a proud tone could be felt.
Olson could not believe it, his eyes widened.
"Eh!? Is serious!?" her question unintentionally raised her voice.
The Black Forest was a dangerous territory even for Olson who had A Rank Adventure ability, but an 8-year-old boy came and went there? His common sense refused to believe.
But Joshua's next words surprised him even more.
"What makes you so surprised? Young Master is the one who rearranges-" Joshua's words come to a halt when Ethan cuts them off.
"Don't say unnecessary things, Joshua. Just do what you have to do, do you understand?" ethan is serious.
Joshua, Olson straightened their backs at that moment. Ethan just suddenly gave off an extremely extraordinary dignity, there was even a possibility that it was much stronger than the present Lord.
Olson, not needing any further words from Joshua to know what Joshua was trying to convey, he could guess himself, and that changed his view of Etha now.
"If so, do it immediately, I also have to prepare some things," Ethan said and turned around.
Finished with what he wanted to say, Ethan leaves immediately, but Olson tries to stop him.
"Wait for Young Master, the Adventurers will also report if something like that happens" Olson said, trying to look good.
But, it was rejected outright by Ethan.
"No need, you can do anything. If you say so, they will only think that this Humanoid is a precious treasure that has expensive materials, right?"
Olson did not reply to Ethan's words. Because it is a very well-known fact that Adventure is a fool who does not know the sense of danger when seeing profits.
"I understand, Young Master," he replied awkwardly.
So, Ethan leaves immediately leaving Joshua and Olson both back. Joshua also immediately moved from his place.
"Are you really going to leave?" ask Olson.
Joshua narrowed his eyes towards Olson annoyed.
"Of course, are you deaf? Mazoku will be here in two hours" he said.
"It's not like that, it's just, is Young Master really-" the events of Dejavu are repeated, when Joshua's Sword this time even hurt Olson's neck.
"Don't I already say, don't say stupid things, Olson?" said cold.
Olson was really panicked and confused. Panicked by Joshua's anger and confused as to why Joshua truly respected the Young Master.
"I-I understand, so immediately put down this sword," Olson stuttered.
Joshua was still looking at him with an intense angry look.
"This is a final warning, even if we are old friends and you are a Guild Master, I will not hesitate to execute you, for insulting Young Master," he and Joshua lowered the Sword.
"I-I understand," Olson replied.
After which, Joshua immediately left the place without saying anything more.
Olson, who was left alone, stared at Joshua with eyes full of hostility and killing intent while holding his blood-thinning neck.
"See, very arrogant, soon this City will be destroyed, just look," he murmured softly.
