That night Hazel had dinner with Aunt Keiko and Orlaf. Hazel seems happy that Aunt Keiko and Orlaf are two very nice people. After dinner Keiko invited Hazel to sit in the room with her fireplace. Olaf also sat there because honestly he was curious about Hazel's story.
"Hazel drink first honey milk chocolate warm, later you will be better."
"Thank you Aunt Kei." Hazel sipped slowly on her warm chocolate milk.
"Now tell me everything what happened to you? Why did you come here alone?"
"Since Mama married that man my life has changed drastically. I thought he would be a good father to me, but it turned out that it was all wrong, even Mama regretted marrying that man. The man brought his son who was a few years old above me, at first they were both very good and we were like a happy family, but gradually my stepfather changed, he was often angry, he was happy, even once hit my mother violently, not only did her son like to take my mother's money and she used it to make fun of it, until at last our house was sold and we lived in a small flat where our lives were much more miserable until Mama died of illness. After my mother's departure the two men behaved very badly to me, even they almost desecrated me, but I was able to run away from home."
" God, how evil they are. If only Soledad had said all that to me I would have come there to take you and your mama so Soledad wouldn't have gone this fast." Hazel tears her eyes.
Keiko who saw him immediately hugged the girl. From where Orlaf looked to Hazel, she felt what Hazel was feeling. Hazel is a strong girl.
"Honey, then from now on just stay here with me, all your needs and living expenses let me bear it. After all you are the son of my best friend and Soledad is a very nice person to me, later on let Orlaf take care of all your moves here, your letters and documents let Orlaf take care of it so you can stay here for a long time. How, do you want to, Hazel?"
Hazel was silent for a moment, she looked at Keiko and then changed to Orlaf. Aren't I going to trouble Auntie and the family?"
"Of course not Hazel, I'm even happy if you stay here, even my husband Adrian would be happy, he said, we seem to have one more child and that's a daughter because my three sons are all."
"Thank you, Aunt Kei. I was actually also confused where to go because all this time I lived in my friend's flat, but he's also getting married and it wouldn't be nice if I had to continue living with him even though my friend doesn't mind."
"You're not a hassle at all. Anyway from today, you will stay here and become my daughter. Tomorrow we'll go shopping to buy all your necessities, like your clothes and other necessities."
"I did not bring a lot of clothes because the time to run away from home I did not bring anything. In my mind, I just want to get away from those two people."
"Your age must be the same as mine, Hazel, don't you go to college there, Hazel?"
Hazel shakes. "I did not go to Orlaf, there was no cost because the savings my mother had prepared so that I could go to college were spent by the two of them. I just worked in a nightclub as a waitress for drinks."
"What's? You work as a waitress at a nightclub?"
"Because it's just a job that accepts me, and I'm just a drink delivery no more because I want to earn money for my living expenses there."
"Your stepfather and stepbrother are really outrageous, Hazel. They are so cruel to you, that they can live because of the wealth of your late parents." Orlaf looked curbed in anger.
"What if you're here at Orlaf's?"
"What, Auntie? The lecture? But the tuition is very expensive, Auntie, and I don't want to be too burdensome Aunt Kei. I can just stay here, I'm already grateful because I don't have to meet the bad guys that are there."
"It's okay, honey, I'll give you up until graduation. Aunty wants to make your future better and make both of your dead parents proud. That's also for your future."
"Don't argue with Hazel. Anyway you here will also lecture like Orlaf. How's Orlaf, what's Mommy's brilliant idea?" Orlaf didn't answer he just showed his thumb
That night, her mother and son listened to all of Hazel's stories. Hazel also tells about her parents while they were alive, not to forget that Aunt Kei also told about her previous friendship with Hazel's mother.
It doesn't feel like time is getting late, but it feels like they are not satisfied to share stories with each other. "You sleep in the upper room tonight, you can use my family's son's room because he won't use it anymore either, he already has his own house."
"Thank you, Aunt Keiko."
"I'll take you upstairs. Above is also Orlaf's room right in front of your room."
Hazel goes upstairs accompanied by Aunt Keiko. She is shown a room she can use, and upon opening the door Hazel is thrilled to see the atmosphere of the room. Neat, clean and smells good.
"This is the room that Orlaf's first brother used to use, but now he couldn't possibly live here anymore because he was married and had a happy family. You can occupy this room and change what is inside here because here all smells of men and now you will occupy. You can change it as you wish. My family won't be angry either."
"Thank you, Auntie's great."
They then walked out of the room, and there was Orlaf already standing leaning against the door of her room.
"Here is my room, Hazel, if you need help, you can knock on my door."
"Yes, Orlaf." Hazel looked at the room next to her. "That's Aunt's son's room too?"
"Yes, but I don't know when it's used? He likes not to be home. My son number two would rather be outside. Nevermind! Now you better rest first because I want to go back to the dinner table to help the servants clean things up.
"Tante, let me help Aunt get it done. I also used to do homework."
"No need for Hazel, you just rest because I know you must be so tired of what happened today." Keiko kissed Hazel gently. Hazel feels the love of a mother she didn't feel for long.
Aunt Keiko then went downstairs, and Orlaf walked over to Hazel. " I'm really happy to meet a girl like you, Hazel."
"I'm also happy to meet your wonderful family."
"Yes already! Now that you're asleep, I'm actually very sleepy, too, but when you hear your story it makes your drowsiness go away." They both laughed a little.
"Good night, Orlaf."
"Good night, Hazel." They enter their own rooms.
