A Meaningful Presence

The race at Origami High School is still ongoing. Match after game is still not finished. Especially the basketball game that is currently going on fiercely, the two tough teams met in the first round.

The interesting thing that is the attention of the audience at this time is that both clubs have their own abilities, to become winners in this basketball race. Added to the strength that emerged from Erik's basketball club team which is currently chasing his lag, against Edward's basketball club.

With the score of Edward's team, Edward still looking for a way to get points again in the second half. Unfortunately their attacking chances were broken by Erik's club players. Who now rise up with their cohesiveness.

In the end Erik's team won the basketball game in the second round and went on to the next round. In the midst of the victory that Evan felt, he felt something that he had forgotten about earlier. He remembered it as he walked into the dugout for the next round.

Evan also imagined or remembered something, there were things that he forgot. Finally he remembered that he promised to watch Rahel's cosplay race, seeing the watch that already showed at 09:10 Evan who was in the dugout with Erik's basketball club was forced to leave them, because there was an urgent affair (the reason Evan told Erik's basketball club).

With a promise looming over him Evan sees Rachel's sweet smile that seems to turn into disappointment, in his mind Evan is just worried that he can't keep his promise back then.

At 08:30 the cosplay race will start soon. Rachel who had been dressed up cosplay waiting for Evan's arrival in the audience seat while looking back and forth, hoping Evan was there.

Rachel who looks beautiful when wearing cosplay clothes, was questioned by her friend.

"Hel, are you waiting for someone?" said Hian a close friend of Rachel (In a soft tone).

Rachel honestly explained to Hian, about him waiting for Evan's arrival.

"Hmm, I was waiting for someone, just that I was worried that he wouldn't come!" rahel said, looking sad.

Hian tries to comfort Rachel, even if only with words he hopes Rachel can smile back.

"Fear is an awkward feeling that is uplifting, yet it also raises doubts!" said Hian who was sitting next to Rachel.

"Pardon me for worrying you, I understand what you're saying Hian. Thank you for making me re-conscious!" rahel said as he hugged Hian and returned with a cute smile.

"Sama-sama, that's what friends are for. hmm I'm happy now that you're smiling again!" hian

Rachel's other friends did not expect that Hian could make Rachel smile again. Though they also made that effort since then, but even the opposite even made Rachel more sad. They do it because of the solidarity of their friendship. Rachel smiled again while hugging her friends.

Minutes and minutes passed the cosplay race finally began. Rachel is the 5th contestant in the race. Rachel, who waited and repeatedly sent messages to Evan, but did not get any response from him.

Another time Hyouga who headed to the karate race with Rafael, passed by Bas, Bas who was looking for someone who wanted to resign from the karate race. The bus that met Hyouga said.

"Hm, if it's not wrong your name is Rafael right, I've seen you at the registration place of karate race.but what's your reason for resigning other than..?" said Bas.

"Yes I'm Rafael, we did meet at the registration place and you were the registrar at that time. I myself actually still want to participate in the race just because I met with Hyouga my former classmate, and Hyouga made a deal with me earlier, I became interested!" rafael told Bas.

"I made a deal for Rafael to be replaced with me and if I win we'll split the prize fairly!" hyouga replied to Rafael.

Meanwhile, Evan who ran in a hurry to get to the cosplay race venue finally arrived on time. Actually he did not know Rachel who had gone on stage or not. Evan took the initiative to send a message through Ichat to Rachel, but when he was about to write a message he saw many messages sent to him. While typing Evan said in his mind.

"Rahel came to me that much, but I promised him that he would ignore it all. Wait a minute in one of the messages he said that he was very men..,hm no continuation maybe he typed it wrong," thought Evan.

"Alright, I have to tell Rachel that I've arrived" Evan said.

From a distance Rachel's friend who saw Evan deigned to approach her and told her that Rachel would soon go on stage. He also advises Evan to go to the cosplay room immediately to give encouragement to Rachel. Evan rushed into the cosplay room while being escorted by Rachel's friend who headed to the place where Rachel was playing.

"Well we have arrived!, Rachel is inside!, you can just go inside. Maybe Rachel is waiting for you inside," said friend Rachel.

"Wait, just let him out I don't feel good!" said Evan, he did not feel good when entering the room carelessly.

"Oh, I saw Rachel crying! how the condition is now yes," said friend Rachel told the condition of Rachel earlier.

Hearing his words, Evan immediately stepped into Rahel's cosplay room without hesitation. And said.

"What, she was crying" Evan said as he rushed into the cosplay room where Rachel was.

After entering Evan saw Rachel who was sitting facing the mirror, he said.

"Hel, I'm sorry, for worrying you, I'm sorry for not answering your message, and I may have kept you waiting!" regret Evan.

Rachel got up and rushed to Evan and hugged him.

"I'm so glad you could come Evan I'm so happy!" rahel said while crying happily.

"What..??" evan said in Rachel's arms.

In his heart Evan said.

"Somehow the hug was so warm, like when my mother hugged me,"

"Once again I apologize to you hel" said Evan regretting making Rachel wait.

"Yes, I forgive you Evan, but instead let me hug you in a moment.maybe?" rahel.

"Well, you can make you smile!" said Evan.

After fulfilling his promise and meeting Rachel, Evan returned to his chair to watch the cosplayers who would soon be performing.
