05. Alexa's Sadness

"Did you see Alexa, the witch elf I was with in this room, now where is she?". King Luis asked his soldiers.

"I saw him outside sitting on a glorious mushroom. He seems to be sad. But I don't know why he's sad, your majesty". The soldier answered honestly.

"All right then take me to him".

"Let me meet my king. I wonder why he is sad. You stay here with your daughter, doesn't she look comfortable in your arms". The queen smiled.

"It's up to you my queen. Soldiers escort the empress to meet Alexa". The king's orders to the soldier.

"Okay, your highness. The Empress please follow me". Invite the soldier to lead the empress to meet Alexa.

"He's there empress". Appoint the soldier after looking right at Alexa who is relaxing on top of the mushroom.

"Alright, now you go I can go alone". Said the empress then stepped closer to Alexa.

"Hello little fairy. Can I join you?". Ask the queen after arriving in front of Alexa.

"Sure" . Answer Alexa briefly.

"What are you doing here alone? Don't you want to join us inside?". Ask the empress again trying to get closer to Alexa.

"This is a very beautiful view. Look at these fireflies. Isn't she very pretty?". Alexa asked with a smile as a flying firefly circled over her palm.

"I did it because I wanted to, so you don't have to overdo it like that empress". Alexa smiled and let the fireflies fly free. He sat on his face on his knees and looked glum. The queen realized that and she smiled.

"What makes you sad Alexa. If there's anything you want to talk to me about, you can do it. I'll be a good listener to you". The queen tried to comfort Alexa.

"Emer, mother. Mama hik-hiks". Alexa cried a hiccup while hugging the empress for a moment. The Empress looked surprised but afterwards she let Alexa hug her and she gently stroked the top of Alexa's head.

"Why is your mother Alexa?". Ask the empress after long letting Alexa cry in her arms.

"My mother has been killed by an evil witch fairy who calls herself empress queen". Answer Alexa sniffling.

"How did he kill your mother?". Ask the queen who is getting curious.

"Helena I want us to end this relationship. I've fallen in love with another girl. I'm sorry if I hurt you". After saying so Abas the fairy master leaves to leave Helena who is a good witch fairy. The two had been in a long relationship until Abas left and chose to be with Bethania the good witch as well. This made Helena furious but she was unable to do anything because at that time she was still a teenager whose ability was still below average.

After the incident Helena promised herself to become the strongest evil witch and to make all witch fairies as evil as her and will avenge her on Abas and Bethany and will not let others live happily.

"Isn't our daughter beautiful Bethany?". Ask Abas who has been holding his recently born daughter.

"How about we name her Alexa. Alexa means protector or helper. I want our daughter to be a helper for others and a protector for those who need her protection. Isn't that a pretty name". Again with the face of sumringah.

After that day Abas was never seen again in the forest since he went to help the old tree that was about to die, Bethany believes that Abas' disappearance must have been because of Helena's actions. So he decides to leave the forest with baby Alexa and live alone from others until Helena finally finds out her hiding place and kills her. Luckily, he told Alexa to go to the north side of the forest so that Helena did not know they had a daughter.
