This morning was very bright. Six o'clock in the morning feels like eight o'clock.
"Nise, Nisa! Wake up, you're not in school?" The sound of the bedroom door that Santi knocked shocked Annisa who was still asleep.
"Yes, Mother. Nisa's gonna take a shower." Annisa quickly tidied up her prayer equipment. Apparently he fell asleep on the prayer mat, and the coldness of the floor made Annisa's body feel uncomfortable.
In the main house, waking up Rayhan and Raydita has become Rianti's routine. The atmosphere of the morning in the house always begins with screeches Rianti called his children. After making sure the two woke up, Rianti went down the stairs to make coffee for her husband.
"Morning, Madam," said Hani, while Bi Susi who was making toast just nodded respectfully.
"Bi, please make me ginger wedang. I'm not feeling well, maybe catching a cold."
"Okay, Him."
"You, clean that guest room over there." He told Hani, and answered the nod by his ART.
Rianti kneaded his temple, while making coffee for Adisurya. From the stairs, her husband approached while looking in wonder.
"Why, Honey? Dizziness?" Adisurya pulled the chair and asked Rianti to sit down. The man stood behind Rianti and began to massage his wife's forehead.
"You're sleep deprived?" Rianti nodded slowly.
"Why, Honey? Don't mind much."
The sound of Rayhan and Raydita's footsteps could be heard coming down the stairs.
"Udah, Mas."
"After this rest." Rianti nodded back.
"Why mom, Pa?" rayhan asked while pulling up a chair.
"Not feeling well, Han. Hi, Honey!" Adisurya returned Raydita's embrace.
There is something different in Rianti's heart to see the closeness of Adisurya and Raydita. It was an everyday sight. But for some reason today his heart felt empty.
"Mama, how are you daydreaming?" scolded Raydita who kissed her cheek.
"Mama's not feeling well, Dita."
"Mama's sick? Call Aunty Rika here, "suggested Raydita.
"Good idea," said Papa Adi.
"No need. Mama wants a break. If it's not good, Mama chat Rika."
"OKAY. It's up to you, what matters is that you're healthy." Rianti stared at Raydita. He could not imagine how much the child would feel hurt if the truth about him was revealed.
"My room has been cleaned, yes," said Hani.
"The window is open?"
"Already," nodded Hani. Rianti signaled for Hani to leave the room.
"Which room, Ma?" ask Adisurya.
"Well, who's there?" asked Raydita in her arms.
"Not for anyone. To Nisa," said Rianti slowly.
"Huh? For Nisa?" Raydita and Rayhan looked at each other in wonder. Rayhan shrugged his shoulders slightly as Raydita asked with an eye gesture. While Adisurya gave a smile while bowing his head.
"It's his wedang, Nya."
"Thank you, Bi."
"She's breakfast, Bi?" ask Adisurya.
"Just have some sweet tea, sir. He said he had no appetite."
"Why? She sick?" ask Rianti quickly.
"So after the morning prayers fell asleep. Maybe it's because the floor is cold, so it's catching a cold" said Auntie.
"Tell him to drink ginger. Is there still?"
"Some, Madam."
Rianti's different attitude than usual presents a question in the minds of two teenagers in the room, especially Raydita. There was jealousy in her heart knowing her mother also shared the attention to Annisa. Moreover, Papa Adi, who moved from his seat and left the dining room. You can be sure papa will approach Annisa in her room.
"What's wrong with mom? And papa, isn't that excessive?" raydita's mind is upset.
Sure enough, Adisurya walked towards Annisa's room. His face looked anxious and immediately opened his daughter's room.
"It's okay, Dad. Just a little dizzy," said Annisa quietly as she grabbed her bag.
"To doctor yuk." Adisurya put the back of her hand on Annisa's forehead.
"No ah, Nisa never went to doctee. Fear of injection," said Annisa plain.
"Why afraid, honey? His doctor was also, Rika-Mama Agas. If you have never been to a doctor, how sick? Take stall medicine?" Adisurya stared at Annisa.
"Nisa rarely hurts, Dad. Before going to school, Nisa's mother had to eat rice. Even if only 2 or 3 mouthfuls, warm rice with salt, kept clenched. It's delicious, so miss mom." His speech.
Adisurya felt full of hearing it. It turned out that Asih held his words in the letter. The woman loved Annisa even in simplicity.
"Dad not to the office?"
"Later noon. I'll take you to school."
"Yes already, yuk!"
Adisurya embraces Annisa's shoulder. Taking her to the kitchen, made Annisa frown.
"There's rice, Bi?" ask Adisurya.
"There, Sir. Just ripe up. Sir want to eat now? Sorry, Auntie's gonna cook soon."
"No need. Sit, Honey. Ask for the same plate of salt, Bi." Say it while washing your hands. Bi Susi was getting more astonished. Annisa is confused.
"Daddy want to make some rice?"
"Yes. If only rice equals salt, keep clenched the hell dad can also." Bi Susi smiled thinly while giving the plate to her master.
Her adisury scoops the rice, then sprinkled with salt. As he was about to clench the rice, Adisurya stirred the heat.
"Wear plastic gloves, sir."
"Why didn't my aunt tell me that?"
"sorry. Aunt just remembered."
"Just like Nisa, Dad." Nisa used those plastic gloves and started clenching the rice.
"You're one, you're the one who wants to make it for you." Adisurya who had used plastic gloves, began to clench and feed it to Annisa.
"Dad try it, it's good."
Inevitably, Adisurya feeds a little. Then he opened his mouth again with a bigger mouthful.
"Enak right?" Adisurya nodded quickly.
"Mrs, need something?" Aunty's question made Adisurya and Annisa turn their heads. Neither Annisa nor Adisurya knew from when Rianti stood behind them.
Rianti shook his head while thrusting his empty cup. He then said, "Mas, he said he would take the children. It's noon."
"Oh yes. Come on Nisa, we're leaving. Drink first," said Adisurya while pouring water for Annisa. Rianti passed while clearing. Rayhan had heated up the engine, while Raydita was putting her shoes on.
"Han, why bring a motor? Papa's with you."
"But, Pa. Ehan's coming home for basketball practice."
"Can be delivered Agas or Raka. Come on, just get in the car."
With a heavy heart Rayhan turned off the engine again. Lazily, he gave the key to his mother. Rianti gently rubbed her son's hair while smelling a smile, while Raydita scoffed by sticking out her tongue.
"Yes, same dong." Raydita was disappointed, when she found out that Annisa must have come with them. Now it was Rayhan's turn to mock him.
"Nisa's leaving, ma'am." His pampit while extending a hand invites shaking hands.
Doubtfully Rianti welcomed the helping hand. Annisa looked delighted, and cheerfully said her greeting, "Assalamu'alaikum."
"Wa'alaikumussalam." Slowly follow.
During the trip, the three children were more silent. Especially because Adisurya receives phone calls using earphones.
Arriving in front of the school, after his car pulled over, Adisurya drove up to the front gate. Some students have just arrived. Some are delivered, some are carrying their own motorbikes. Like Yuda who was raping Annisa when he met in front of the school.
"Hi, Nisa! Wait for me there. I'm gonna park first." Annisa hesitated.
"Who? How come I've seen it."
"Nisa's classmates are the same Dita, Dad."
"Your friend, not my friend. Sorry yes." Delicateness. Adisurya chuckled softly and rubbed the head of Raydita. They didn't realize another rider was watching.
"Oh, so that's Adisurya's daughter." Mumbled.
