The End of Betrayal (The Household is torn apart)
Chapter 57. Prepare for farewell

"Nala?" call Reigha when the car breaks the road.

Nala did not answer because her mind was wandering. His gaze looked outwards from behind the car glass. Five minutes after Nala was in the car, it rained instantly as if the sky was crying over Dandy's departure.

"Nala?" call Reigha again because Nala won't answer.

"Yes?" nala replied briefly without bothering to turn her head.

Reigha sighed softly. "You go home to Bogor or—"

"To aunt Dian's house," interrupted Nala flat. I don't know, flat because it keeps the distance from Reigha or flat because of the pain and heartbreak felt.

"Alright," Reigha replied in the end.

Only silence filled the car. Until the car arrived in front of the yard of Dian's house, Nala could see there were still many mourners who came to say condolences.

Nala pulls and exhales slowly before actually getting out of the car. Without caring for Reigha, Nala immediately split the created crowd.

"Mr Nala's home yet?" asked Nanta who suddenly appeared in front of him.

Nala who had not cried again shed tears and hugged Nanta.

There was no sound from Nala. He was still crying, vaping all the sadness in front of his sister. Sometimes Nala is confused about who really is the big brother between her and Nanta.

Nanta is so mature that he can act as a brother and sister at once.

"Already, Ma'am. Pity aunt Dian if you keep crying. Better, we'll meet Aunt Dian and mom, okay?" take Nanta while stretching out a hug.

Nala wiped away the tears and nodded in agreement. Nanta takes Nala up the stairs to Dian's room. However, Ms. Dian should not be left alone in the state of mourning as now.

Geck. Geck. Geck.

Nanta knocked on the door first. Not long after, the door opened and displayed the Baras bu. "Nala? You're home yet?" tanya bu Laras then brought her daughter's frail body in an embrace.

Nala nodded in an embrace with tears flowing back soaking up the clothes her mother wore. Somehow we stopped this cry. If possible, Nala wants to stop crying and try to be a booster for Dian bu who is currently not much different from him.

"Sst. Haven't you cried before, huh? We go in first," said Ms. Laras who was immediately nodded by Nala.

"I'm coming down again, Mom. There are still many guests downstairs" said Nanta.

After Nanta leaves and closes the door again, Nala realizes that in the room it is not only mother and aunt Dian. There is Nilam's mom who is currently stroking and hugging Dian's soft shoulder. The two were sitting on the side of the bed next to each other.

Bu Dian looked up when he realized Nala's arrival to the room. When she saw Nala's face that was so swollen and kebaya clothes were messy, Dian's mother was crying more and more as she pleased.

The crying was contagious to Nala, to Laras and to Nilam. Nala chose to rest in front of Miss Dian as a form of respect for the mother of Dandy.

Nala was crying again. He was at a loss for words to express his heart other than by crying. Bu Laras and Bu Nilam who understand that both need time, pulled over by sitting on a corner sofa to make room for Nala and bu Dian expressed sadness.

"Nala? Forgive me and forgive Dandy too. This will not happen and you will not be hurt if we say about Dandy's disease" Dian said.

Nala looked up because Dian's bu position was higher than her and then shook her head. "Why apologize, Tan? It's nobody's fault" Nala replied heartily.

There was a rough sigh from the mouth of Miss Dian, describing how tight she felt at this time.

"Dandy once said his last wish before he was actually taken his life by the Almighty. The request is ... You," said Miss Dian with a gaze staring out the window of the room.

"Me?" tanya Nala was confused.

Bu Dian nodded and smiled. His eyes were puffed up considering his son's last wish. "Dandy wants to live with his little family with you and the kids. Dandy once said at the end of his life he wanted to marry you. But the Lord willed another because for a second you remain his wife, she was already gone" explained Miss Dian paused her sentence.

Bu Dian sobbed then his two hands cupped Nala's palm. Bu Dian smiled when she saw Nala was so interested in the story.

"Dandy has end-stage brain cancer" Bu Dian said with a guilty look.

Nala sontak closed her mouth tightly. Her tears fell down after a little. Why hasn't Nala known all this time?

"Why didn't Dandy tell me, Tan? Why should he hide?" tanya Nala demanded an explanation.

"Dandy doesn't want you to accept it out of pity. Dandy wants you to accept it because you really need Dandy" replied Ms. Dian explaining.

Nala closed her eyes tightly, recalling how Dandy's smile seemed to have no burden of life. In fact, it is precisely such a person who is carrying a heavy burden.

Dandy was always sweet with Nala. Dandy always met Nala even though he was busy. It turns out that behind it all, Dandy is preparing for a farewell that is completely unknown to Nala.

Such a sweet farewell but wrapped in a deep wound. Nala feels cheated on Dandy because he already knows he's leaving while Nala, he doesn't know anything.

"I'm sorry Mom and Dandy because you've been the victim. Dandy wants to be happy to the point that he forgets that you deserve to be happy too. You deserve a man who is not sick," stirred Bu Dian by crying again as much as you like.

Nala sniffled in her tears. A million regrets were like he was gnawing at his heart. "Don't say that, Tan. That's not all right. I'm happy even very happy to be in a relationship with Dandy. He will never be forgotten," said Nala sincerely and hold Dian's fingers tightly.

The two immediately embraced, Two women who love Dandy with different statuses.

Ms. Laras and Ms. Nilam who witnessed the scene, her tears fell unstoppable. They both lost Dandy.

"May Dandy be calm in nature there," said Bu Laras while wiping his tears.

Ms. Nilam confirmed. "That's sure. Dandy was free of pain. He's healed" added Nilam ma confirmed.

Somehow I was able to live my tough days after this. Would it be as easy as it used to be when there was a figure of him beside me? Will it be difficult because again my heart feels broken and has to put the pieces back together? #Nala
