Getting around the city (part 2)

From inside the system's dimensional storage, Jani pulled out a bottle and when it was opened, Jani was prepared to give it to Doran. The division heads no one left because they were still curious about the medicine that was able to wake Night Walker from his nap.

After Jani gave the medicine to Doran, Doran's face slowly began to turn red and not long after Doran opened his eyes and said "HAA…! What'sthis!? My mouth feels burning! The water! I want water!!"

Looking at Doran who was awake, everyone except Jani started to be surprised because they did not believe what they saw. The satisfied Jani had roused Doran, fed him the healing potion mixed water while saying "don't be noisy, drink this!"

Without saying anything, Doran immediately took the water and drank it until it ran out. After drinking it the spicy taste in his mouth instantly disappeared and Jani immediately said "what's it like?"

Heard Jani's voice. Doran immediately realized that the one before him was the third prince and immediately said "excuse me, your majesty! For acting inappropriately before you."

"it doesn't have to be so formal, Doran. More importantly you haven't answered my question, are you still feeling sleepy right now?"

 "me..no sleepy now! I don't know what you're giving me, your majesty. But the medicine has healed the nature of my race! Thank you, your majesty!!" doran replied that she finally realized that she was no longer sleepy during the day.

"well, I'm happy for your recovery, but don't you have something to explain about last night's party?"

*BAMM!* the sound came from the door of this room that was hurriedly closed.

'fucking you all traitors!' he spoke to the other division leaders who had escaped from this room.

As they were walking in the corridors of the palace, Jani bumped into some high-ranking nobles who attended the meeting this morning. When the nobles saw Jani's figure, they immediately lowered their heads and greeted "good morning, your majesty!" and after that, they immediately rushed away from the presence of Jani out of fear of something.

Seeing the strange attitude of the nobles made Doran curious then asked Jani "what is with their attitude? Usually this attitude is only shown by them when meeting the king or the queens by chance."

"Well, maybe they're afraid that I'll recognize them and will expose their disgrace by accident."

"what does that mean, your honor?"

"you'll find out later." Then they immediately left the palace with two bodyguards who forced to come because it was ordered by Hertez Bonavic who served as the head of the royal knight.

As Jani exited the palace gate, they began to walk slowly and saw the bustling main city of the kingdom which was still crowded as usual despite yesterday the kingdom had a quite big incident.

As Jani approached the town square, people started to get more crowded as it was the trading center of the city. One of the merchants who noticed Jani's presence immediately greeted him "ah! Third prince! Good work has gotten rid of that bastard family! Take it as my gratitude!" the merchant immediately gave some of his merchandise to Jani and it was also followed by many other traders to the point that Jani's hand was full.

After Jani put everything in his dimensional bracelet, Jani said to the merchants "thank you everyone, it is appropriate for us royal family to ensure the welfare of our citizens and keep the promises we have made. Then if there's something we're missing, please don't hesitate to tell us that and we'll definitely try to fix it."

The merchants responded with smiles and cheers from the people who happened to be here. Jani continues his journey with two bodyguards who are currently in charge of paving the way for Jani and Doran.  

When they reached the town square, Jani and Doran sat on a bench and Doran began to ask Jani "So prince, what is the purpose of us coming here?"

"did you see them?" asked Jani who was pointing towards a group of mercenaries standing in front of an alley.

"yes I know them, prince. If it's not wrong that they come from one of the famous mercenary groups that is the Red Blood Sword, they often pay a visit to my inn and I'm also very close to their chief."

"then do you know what kind of business they run?"

"that is, they have always been very secretive about their work and their chairman simply said that they became 'goods' haulers for the big noble business in this city."

"ha... You have a rare blood elemental magic talent, have you ever used your power to strengthen your senses?"

"i still can't master that spell, prince."

Doran tried it and finally saw that the soldiers who often visited his inn turned out to be currently carrying out the transfer of goods and items in which he meant young female slaves from various different races.

After that, Jani stopped strengthening Doran's senses and Doran immediately stood up and said hurriedly "prince! We need to hurry up and save them before they're taken away!"

"no need, I have already sent my elite troops to finish them off and soon the knights will come. Doran, have you realized why I brought you here?"

"i don't understand, prince."

"my goal is for you to see that the mercenaries are too free because there is no law to watch over them. Not even my father ever discussed this mercenary issue with the other elite nobles."

"and that's why I formed a mercenary division so that they could be well organized and maybe even in the future they could become a backup force to protect the kingdom later."

"but prince, there are not still many more learned people (noblemen) who are able to handle this field."

"even so, I still chose you and for starters you read the draft mercenary division that I wanted to form this." Said Jani who then handed over a book to Doran and then stood up while continuing"well, after you understand the contents of the book, meet me as soon as possible."

Jani leaves Doran and walks into an alley with a mercenary group named by Doran, the Red Blood Sword.

Inside the alley away from the crowd of the city square, there was the sound of clanking swords clashing fiercely against each other. Although the fight looks fierce, but in fact it will soon end with a victory from the attacker.

"what's my fault that the 'shadow kingdom' slaughtered all my men." Said the person who had lost the fight and the person was the leader of the mercenary group, the Red Blood Sword.

One wearing black did not answer him and instead attacked the leader again, making him not stand up again so he could not escape again.

When he finished doing his spelling, he stood sideways then immediately knelt down and waited for someone to appear. Not long after, Jani appears and says "thank you for your help, shadow master."

"anything for the crown prince!" briefly answer a person who is called a shadow.

"alright, for the next can you please free the slaves that are in there? I want to ask this leader something."

"well, your highness!" the shadow master immediately left to carry out orders from Jani.

Jani immediately picked up the knife lying on the floor and approached the mercenary leader then after approaching he crouched down

"are you ready for a question-and-answer session with me?"

"what do you want, third prince?"

"shhh! In this session I have to ask not you! Understood?"

Jani began to pry information from the old man and after an hour had passed, Jani stood up and with a very annoyed look on her face she said "so, so, all major and middle-sized cities have their own slave trade networks and it remains operational even though the royal family has declared that slavery is forbidden?"

"yeah! That's what's really going on! I've given you everything you want to know, please! Free me!"

"okay." Jani replied while throwing the knife in his hand and precisely stabbing the man in the forehead. Without glancing at the man, Jani said "thank you for the information." And Jani immediately left the place leaving the shadow there.

When the shadow returns to his place and glances at the corpse of the old man who was previously interrogated by Jani. The body is still very clean and leaves only a wound on the forehead with a knife stuck there.

After observing for quite a while he finally said "although it looked like the prince did not injure this man, but it can be confirmed that the prince used light magic to heal the external wound and wound it back and the process continues to be repeated until this man is willing to answer his question. Tactics have never been practiced by anyone, so where did the prince learn them from?"

The shadow kept thinking of the answer to his question, but when he heard the voices of the knights would come here. He decided to report what he had seen earlier to his group leader.

When Jani came out of the alley the sky was still very bright which showed that it was already noon. Still visibly annoyed by the fact that the nobles outside the capital disobeyed the royal rules, he said in his heart "alright! I let you relax for now, but remember this! I will definitely abolish slavery in this kingdom as soon as possible!" after being determined in his heart, Jani left the square to go to the next destination.
