8.8: Books

In the square,

Carmen, Nick and the others were already in the square. Until Aaron and his friends came and approached them.

" Hey guys! Sorry we're late.. "

Aaron, a dark brown-haired shoulder-length man with matching irises. As tall as Nick, stout. And wearing a gray suit with brown pants it came over to Carmen.

" It seems we're always late huh. "

Jay, the man who was the leader of Aaron and his friends, had silver hair with gray irises, was as tall as Kevin, well-bodied, and well-built, wearing a black shirt with a grey jacket and brown pants was smiling.

" Don't see you for a long time, Carmen! " Peter, Leo and Charles greet at once.

Peter, a long jet-black-haired man who was even like a woman, his green irises looked at Carmen's friendly, well-built figure and about as tall as Alex. He was wearing a red shirt with jeans.

Leo, the flaming red-haired man in disarray, irises eyes that match his hair, is well-built, he's as tall as Nick. He was wearing a leather shirt with brown trousers.

Charles, a reddish-brown man disheveled by a boat, had a dark blue iris, was well-built, he was as tall as Alex, Charles wore a black shirt with jeans.

8.8: Books

Everyone sat down, silent to each other. Nobody spoke until Jay raised his voice.

" By the way, on our way here, we met Devilark. "

The four friends of Jay shut Jay's mouth. They were excited themselves, while Carmen, Nick and the others were just astonished.

" Why are you guys? " Jay took the hands of his four friends out of his mouth.

[" Kan Carmen doesn't know anything about the Devilark or the Demonark yet!! " ] said Peter frantically through their telepathy. Yeah, Nick and his gang can't hear Jay and his friends' telepathic conversations.

" Carmen, you know what we really are, right?? " Jay turned to Carmen with a smile. Made all four of his friends dumbfounded.

" Uh? I... Ja.. You, Demonark. Like Nick, right? "

Jay turned to his four friends with a triumphant smile.

" You know about Devilark, right? "

Carmen nodded, again Jay smiled triumphantly at his four friends.

" Look down, he knows everything. "

Jay nodded, then opened his mouth. Continuing the delayed words because of his four friends.

" The Devilark is after you, Carmen. "

Carmen looked down, then looked up at the blue sky. He sighed softly and then looked at his friends.

" Can we express our thoughts? "

Carmen, Jay and his friends stare at Howie, Nick and the others. Carmen looked confused.

" What's up, Howie? Of course you can say your thoughts. " Carmen looked at the puzzled seven of his friends.

" June. He was a Demonark with enormous energy. Yeah, I guess you all know that, too.. " Howie glanced at Jay and the others. They just nodded, answering Howie's words.

" Our thought was, June was after Carmen for some reason... " Keel continued Howie's words.

" It then orders the Devilarks to search for Carmen's whereabouts... " Alex also goes on to say Kevin.

" Because all this time, he's never found Carmen's whereabouts. " Chris reconnects another word.

" None of the Devilarks knows. Until then.. " Billy is looking at Nick.

The woman was standing in front of June, which she saw in the forest, somewhere.

" I have to get the book, break his spell, and take Carmen. That way, he'll be mine, forever.. "

Carmen sat down with her palms covered her mouth in surprise.

Carmen doesn't want to go, so she might get a little information out of this.

There appeared a few Devilarks who looked down respectfully in June. Just like Nick and the others said. June was the one who ordered the Devilarks.

" Search for a book with the title 'Demonark : The Blood Curse' which is in an old dormitory in the middle of the forest. Hurry along! "

Carmen woke up in the middle of the forest. Right in the lap of Nick who was stroking his hair in the middle of the forest. Sweat drenched itself. He awakens, making Jay, Nick and the men approach Carmen.

" Are you okay, Carmen? " Lo approached Carmen and touched her face.

" We have to hurry! " Carmen got up, picked up her sling bag and walked towards the middle of the forest.

" What do you want? Where are you going, Carmen? " Nick goes after Carmen who seems to be in a hurry.

" We have to hurry... To a dorm in the middle of this forest... "

Everyone gasped, Nick and his friend stared in shock at Carmen.

" We know where, come on. "

Carmen is now on Nick's back, Nick who asks to be there quickly. Carmen told me what she saw during her fainting spell.

" Damn it! I had guessed that there was something after we found the book! " Nick is accelerating.

Within minutes, they all arrived at a spacious white house. Call them straight inside. The surprising thing was, the number of Devilarks had already appeared in that house.

" wuck... "

The Devilarks instantly attacked them. Make Nick and the others protect Carmen.

[[Billy, Howie, Kevin, hurry to the library! Find the book before they get it! " ] said Brian through their telepathy.

[" We'll take care of the ones here, hurry up!! " ] Nick responded, making Billy, Kevin and Howie immediately go to the library on the second floor.

" Carmen, stay here! " Peter exclaimed, then protected Carmen's back.

Howie, Billy and Kevin who were already on the second floor, were now slaughtering the Devilarks who were on the second floor.

" Howie, how?! " Kevin who slaughtered the front now exclaimed.

" just a second.. "

Howie closed his eyes for a moment, as he opened his eyes again, some of the energy described by Howie in color was visible.

Until he saw the deep black color which means Devilark, was inside the library. It was seen that the Devilark was still looking for the book that Carmen was referring to.

" He's still looking! " Howie exclaimed, now he helped Kevin slaughter the Devilark that was blocking their way.

" Billy!! " Kevin exclaimed again, Billy who was behind Kevin and Howie saluted briefly then opened the portal. Teleported to the library.

" What are you looking for, you idiot? " Billy instantly appeared right in front of the Devilark.

[ "Where is it? " ] Billy asked telepathically again, he attacked the Devilark. Awaiting answers.

["The last shelf, the corner-most, between history and science books. "] Brian said, answering Billy's question.

[" Gotch! " ]

Billy is now trying to finish off the Devilark. Even so, it seems like June is really smart. Placing a fairly powerful Devilark himself in the library.

Billy ran in the direction Brian had said, immediately searching for the book.

" GRAAACHHH!!! "

Billy, with the red-bound book under the title 'Demonark: The Blood Curse' was dodging the Devilark's attack.

["****, he prevented me from teleporting back! " ] Billy grumbled telepathically.

Suddenly, the Devilark collapsed. With Carmen kicking the Devilark all of a sudden.

" Marmen?! "
