The Demon Swordsman 3

The Demon Swordsman 3
Ch. 162 - Bloody Night in the Camp

"Haha!" One of the defectors laughed out loud, managing to divert the soldier's head.

"I'm the killer, why?"

The man staggered, almost drunk but still able to control himself.

Grandma Ian immediately dragged her grandson aside before the soldiers stepped on him, she cried out in grief. Blood had splattered out from the youngster's mouth, but he could feel a breath blowing in his grandson's nose.

"bt ... You still alive?" the old woman whispered very small, thankfully Ian only fainted from blood loss. Some people come to Ian's rescue, but the problem is now that Yu is being held hostage.

And a group of defectors with a rogue face and arrogant style came to the head of the soldier.

"You're looking for the killer? A young man with a black robe, blue eyes and a clam bracelet in his hand?"

The soldier's head was stunned.

"Mussels bracelet? No one ever said anything about those traits to us ... You must know where the killer is! Say it!"

"If not, what? You want to kill us? Hm?" The long-haired man and the thick moustache in front of him were toying, the glass bottle in his hand he smashed on top of a stone. Making the soldier's head a little shriveled. He carried many rams behind him and if you could say, those slums were very wild. They live in a way that fights like animals. And if his subordinates are faced with such a rascal, it could be only himself left behind.

"Hey, hey ... Why, are you scared? Haha. I'm telling you, wide ass!"

The head soldier put on an offended face, his white face flushed in annoyance. His eyebrows fused together but not a word came out of his mouth.

Yu broke away as soon as the man argued, the chief soldier did not care about him anymore and chose to face the defector who he believed had a clue about the Emperor's killer. He must find her, given the great price offered if he catches the killer. Who isn't tempted by that reward.

"We're not going to tell you who the killer is, he's our friend. Besides, if you offer any kind of monetary reward, we can find it ourselves at an abandoned jewelry store!" The man pointed to him, "We don't need that money, all we need now is someone willing to fight by our side! And it is not the government, you are just hurting us and only come down when the Emperor is killed? Where have you been all this time?! I've never seen you show up when a major conflict is out of the center."

He added after spitting in front of the soldier's head. "Now eat your own medicine! Death of the rotten leader, we rejoice! It's time for the change to be implemented, and dirty anj*ing like you should be killed!"

He took out a dagger hidden under his cloak, Yu immediately turned your men back so as not to get involved with the fight.

The gondrong man was assisted by his friend who immediately ambushed forward towards the soldiers. At first the dagger was about to stab the neck of the head of the Soldier but unfortunately behind the man was a subordinate soldier who was lifting a weapon at him.

The man was severely injured, his left neck deeply scratched. When he fell the soldier's head took the golden opportunity to stab his head from above.

Blood splashed on the green grass, then a sound fell on the ground. One life had been lost, defectors glared in disbelief at what had just happened.

Same with Yu.

The head of the warrior had fallen in just a matter of seconds, but the Defector who dueled with him was still in the same position; it fell on the ground drenched in blood belonging to the man.

Xin Chen inserted his sword, staring around where dozens of soldiers were staring fearfully at him.

"Don't let any of them out." Xin Chen's heavy voice was immediately overtaken by the laughter of the defectors.

"Come here too! Time to hunt the chicken!"

All the defectors scattered not to let the gap for the soldiers to escape, they gathered in the middle unknowingly because the delinquents kept pressing.

Slashes and stabs begin to take the lives of the men, Yian has just arrived and witnessed the most frightening event that has ever happened at Camp Southeast. Massacres occurred, but the victims who fell were not from his side but the men of his own government.

He still remembered that the number of soldiers had almost exceeded fifty. Blood pooled on the ground and several organs scattered. Luckily the children had been secured so there was no need to watch the horrific spectacle.

Twenty-eight bodies were piled up in one place. Xin Chen burned it with the Fire of Immortality, which made others wonder what fire had just exposed the body to nothing but ashes.

Now the remaining soldiers are still searching in the camp. Yu could not catch up to Xin Chen's quick pace, the sword in his hand was not taken down at all. He ran over, killing dozens of men who didn't even realize who had just cut their bodies from behind.

Parents close their children's eyes. Some locked the door of the house in fear. In the almost dark afternoon, the cries of dying in the camp were like the sound of dead people being mobbed by infected people.

Xin Chen entered one house, seeing two soldiers teasing a widow and a small child in his arms. Those who were about to misbehave were shocked when a blue light appeared. The candle's blackness did not give them a chance to see who was standing at the door.

The woman hugged her son even more tightly, just as blood soaked her face. The two men collapsed lifelessly, they had floundered and asked for help but the woman was too afraid to move and only watched the demon-like human move so quickly hunting its prey.

Lighting that lights up in a house goes out instantly, terrible air blows from behind the walls of the house that has been abandoned by its owner. The house was Rumah Yu, the head of the Southeastern Campground which is currently believed to be one of the assassins' hideouts.

Intent on approaching the assassin, the nine soldiers were instead visited directly by the Blue Eyes that were rumored to have killed Emperor Shi. He revealed himself who only looked silhouetted. The bonfire outside cast a shadow over the part of the young man's face.

The three people who noticed his presence immediately called out to another comrade. They gathered in the front room, putting on a standby stance with swords in both hands.

"Your leader is dead. To devote myself to whom else. Surrender."

"So your bullshit! We came here to kill trash like you!"

Xin Chen raised the sword that was fed by the power of the Fire of Eternity, the light from the sword made the nine of them able to clearly see the face of the young man.

Not only were his eyes blue, but there was an equally bright symbol of sparks. Their knees began to tremble upon hearing the next voice from that person.

"What-what?!"

They stared at each other and argued with each other, hearing that the most powerful person among them had lost their lives at the hands of the killer made them all lose their guts.

And the blood on the blue sword, as if to tell them that their other comrades had also died in his hands.

"Wait a minute, you told us to give up, didn't you?" One of them raised a trembling hand.

"Then?"

"I-that means you'll forgive us" the man who spoke was anxious.

"I didn't say that." Xin Chen denied it outright.

"Generated or not, you're still being killed."

Dark forces quietly spread throughout the Southeastern Campground, eating bodies full of blood along the way, in the homes of citizens and small alleys that had been killed by the power owner. Some of the spirits he controlled were out of control. Xin Chen deliberately used it so as not to leave any evidence, if reinforcements came they would have no evidence to blame the Southeast camp for the soldiers being killed.

Suddenly the disappearance of the corpse without a trace became a big question mark in the hearts of the residents. However they did not dare to ask Xin Chen about what happened. Lang had come out of hiding, it should have been safe for him to roam around. Meanwhile Xin Chen walked with him to the place that connected the camp with the territory belonging to the defector.

Yu chased after from behind with Yian.

"You're going?"

"Other thing I'm waiting for. The longer you stay here, the more your lives are threatened." Xin Chen did not expect Yu to come to hold back her departure. Yian took a breath, held onto his shoulder as he said, "We don't expect you to leave under these circumstances."

"Truely said Yian." Yu chimed in guilt.

"I don't think badly of you. This place accepts me well, even you guys are always worried about me. I'm grateful for that. Give my regards to the others, I'll go first."

"Chen." Yu called, Xin Chen turned his head briefly.

"When you get through here, stop by. We'll always welcome you."

"I understand."

Yian seemed like he wanted to talk but he just kept silent, waving his hand with a faint smile. Lang and Xin Chen left from there.

Both of them had disappeared from Yu and Yian's sight.

Lang actually knew where to go but wasn't sure if up ahead they could get out. Most of the access in the Empire is closed.

His worries were brushed aside when he saw a group of men with an urgency look following them from behind. Xin Chen was not at all bothered by those whose movements alone were already very suspicious.

"Sir, where are you going? So rushed."

"Eh, uh, that polite little water flea. He's a newcomer from somewhere else heh."

Xin Chen responded to those people with a slight laugh. It seemed like the group of Defectors he had met a few days ago had indeed told him about it to his other friend. Maybe he's currently being the subject of these delinquents.

"Look at her skin so white, like a chicken laying eggs."

The others laughed out loud, Lang grumbled making them silent in fear.

"What about your group? Still having trouble finding food and drink supplies?"

Instead of asking, the answer was painful. The man said that most of them could only eat once in two days. They only get liquor from search results. The Night Protector had already restricted some places of their own. If they want to take it, they must lose a lot of people first.

In terms of numbers, these defectors outnumbered the common people.

"I heard that the Central Military Faction will hand out some food and drink supplies this weekend. Come to the headquarters and disguise yourself as a commoner. Don't squeal in there. You must have got it."

"really? That guy told you straight?"

"Yes. Thanks for helping me out, by the way. If you don't scream, then Chief Yu will be killed."

Still in shock, the defector was silent and conferred with his other friends to plan their departure. Two days to be exact the division was done, they had to prepare.

"I don't intend to save that damn woman." He finally answered.

"You're profitable for our group, so we consider you part of us. So no need to thank. Whoever you are, if we consider family, we will still consider family forever. Don't ask for help." The man smiled revealing a row of partially porous teeth.

"Then why don't you show us the way to the Fifth Temple." Lang's voice had made them shocked, one of the defectors replied.

"I think I know the quickest way to get you there. Shall we deliver? But I can only take you to the big road."
