CHAPTER 356 | Fire Shrine

The elder who came from the demon clan looked back at Shen Long and Princess LingMei. “You are not mogulls and mogullians, and you are not just anyone who knows who we are. Who are you?” ask the elder back.

“Sorry, I can't say who I am, but you can be sure of us. We don't mean to be mean to you,” Princess LingMei also spoke to him with a sincere face.

The elder saw the sincerity on Princess LingMei's face, he then sighed and raised his hand so that his besieging companions would not attack them. All the people who were besieging breathed a sigh of relief because they were actually frightened when they had to fight against the sky world god race whose strength was far above their shadow.

“Thank you for your trust,” Shen Long saluted the elder and his people. He knows the strength of those who are far below him. The elder himself his strength was at the 2nd level of the Star realm, so Shen Long did not want to oppress them.

“My name is MongShui, I am from the Water Demon clan,” the elder introduced himself.

“Tua Mong, we are looking for a conong Fire Root tree located around this lake. Have you ever found it?” shen Long asked.

Elder MongShui looked at his people and they shrugged and shook their heads. “It looks like we never found the tree,” he said.

“I feel the source of warmth that is around this place. If the elder allows, I want to check it out,” continued Shen Long. The MongShui elder then allowed Shen Long to check around the place.

The inhabitants of the underworld who hid there lived behind the large stones that were near the place. They live there because it is close to the lake and also the warm weather from the area around them.

Shen Long now noticed the many inhabitants of the underworld who lived in that place. He was concerned to see the plight of those who lived horribly and hid in that place.

Then Shen Long turned around and looking at the huge boulder that was in that place, he felt the source of warmth in this area coming from there. “Is it possible that the tree is underground?” muttered.

“Shen Long, do you think the tree is under that rock?” ask Princess LingMei.

Shen Long did not reply, he simply approached the boulder and thought about it. “All of you, please step back! I will crush this stone,” Shen Long said.

Everyone including Princess LingMei then retreated slowly away from the stone. Shen Long placed his palm on the stone, then exerted his strength into the palm and drained the power into the stone.

Bumm....

The stone exploded and shattered into pieces. Under the stone was a dark hole. Shen Long then took out his Hell Fire spirit to light up the path.

The entire surrounding people including Princess LingMei were shocked as Shen Long took out the spirit of Hell Flame from her hands. The place looked to be bright after Shen Long took out that fire spirit.

“Why didn't you use this fire spirit before Shen?” ask Princess LingMei.

“It will attract attention if I use it in public places,” Shen Long said casually. Princess LingMei nodded confirming what Shen Long said.

“Master, can we participate?” ask elder Mongshui to Shen Long.

“I don't know what's below. I heard the tree was guarded by a fierce mystical creature. I may not be able to look after all of you,” Shen Long said honestly.

Elder MongShui then spoke to all those people. “All of you wait here, close this hole if we don't return in half a day so that the mythical creature doesn't come out and kill you! I command YongShui to lead you while I go!” he shouted at the inhabitants of the underworld.

The elder's words hinted that he who was about to descend himself followed Shen Long. He was also curious about what was under the hole.

Shen Long then led down the stairs in the hole which was then followed by Princess LingMei and MongShui. They walked cautiously and were wary of the surroundings.

MongShui and Princess LingMei carried torches lit using Shen Long's Hell Fire spirit. The light illuminated the hole they entered.

After quite a distance entering the hole, Shen Long suddenly stopped his steps while raising his hand to stop Princess LingMei and MongShui's footsteps. They arrived at an area that was quite wide and flat, the Hell Fire spirit light spread around the place and illuminated that flat area. “It looks like this place used to be a temple.” Shen Long said after lighting up around the place.

They surrounded the place which was like a room with various writings and pictures on its walls. Shen Long inspected the surroundings to look for the existence of the Fire Root tree aura.

Shen Long walked over to the wall on his left. “Temple of Fire,” Shen Long muttered after reading the writing on the wall. He sensed the aura of the Fire Root tree was behind that wall.

Shen Long checked around the wall to find a way to get inside. His eyes then looked at the end of the wall which was like a torch holder for lighting in the room. Shen Long then lit it with his Hell Fire spirit.

When the torch was lit, the fire spread around the place and lit some torches there. Now the room was brightly lit by the torchlight around its walls.

Princess LingMei and MongShui were shocked and amazed to see the room. They did not expect the room to be so beautiful after being illuminated by the torchlight in the room.

Shen Long then noticed the torch located on his right side, only the torch was not lit as he lit the entire torch on the wall. Then Shen Long again lit the torch with his Hell Fire spirit.

Suddenly the door in front of Shen Long moved open after he lit the torch. Then the inside of the door also looked bright because the fire from the torch spread lit torches on the inner wall of the door to the end of the inner room.

Shen Long looked in the distance the inside of the door looked even brighter. Yet Shen Long narrowed his eyes feeling something suddenly move from within the inner room.

“You're backing down!” Shen Long shouted at Princess LingMei and MongShui who were shocked by him.
