This explained the importance of having many guards by his side and he could not stop stressing the importance of vigilance at all times. Gasping for breath, Long'Er sat on the stairs and took a quick sip from her water flask. They would run twenty rounds around the training ground every morning before the sword practice began. Teachers who were in charge of honing their sword fighting skills were extremely formidable. Previously, he had challenged them to a fight against him, but none of them had managed to land a single blow on him. From the looks of it, everyone was lacking in experience in a real fight. Except Long'Er.
Somehow, he somehow managed to find a gap to strike his shoulder. He might be physically no stronger than the others, but he lightly and quickly stood up to deliver a punch in an instant. Impressed by her appearance, the teacher finished everything and ended the class early, giving them permission to return to their room to rest early.
Around it. They exchanged glances, before deciding to sit next to him. Needless to say, the five men were a busy group of people. They could not stop asking questions from the day they first met. They wanted to know all about her family background and her relationship with the prince.
"Hey" said one of them.
"Why are you quiet? It's been a week and you haven't talked to us much."
"I'm not a talkative person" he replied slowly, closing the flask.
“Well, since we have to cooperate and see each other's faces every day, we have to get to know each other better,” the answer is friendly.
As he remained silent, another man scowled at him. Without a doubt, he was very unhappy with her from the start. He could enter the palace easily, whereas everyone had to work hard from the bottom by passing difficult exams and achieving excellent grades.
"A really arrogant kid. If you think being liked by the Crown Prince will make you get what you want, you're clearly thinking wrong" he said. Her friend patted her on the shoulder gently and was kind enough to defend Long'Er.
"Now, now. You don't have to say bad things like that. After all Long'Er had saved the prince and was acknowledged for his efforts. Don't you see how he fends off with the more cautious teacher?"
The man just rolled his eyes.
"Amazing my feet."
"Quite a chat, guys. We should take a shower. We don't want pretty waiters to think we're a bunch of smelly***, do we? Long'Er, you coming?"
"No," he refused quickly and hurriedly stood up.
"I'll go back to my room first." Those people immediately frowned. One of them stepped forward and clutched his hand to prevent him from leaving.
"Come on, it won't take long. Since we are friends, we should hang out together. It's often said taking a bath together is a good way to bond with a man." He tried to maintain his composure, even though his heart was pounding at their stubborn inducements. How could he escape without arousing suspicion?
"Maybe next time," she lied.
Removing the man's hand from his, he hurriedly turned around and walked away before anyone else could say anything. Walking through the gate, he ran after knowing he was already out of sight. There was absolutely no way he would bathe with a bunch of rowdy men.
On his way back to his room, he took a quieter route back, which few people would pass through. When he turned the corner, something hit him hard and dropped him backwards, causing him to land his butt on the ground first.
"Aw!" Both sides groaned in pain, before they realized each other and became stiff at the same time.
Long'Er looked at the young and beautiful girl who seemed to be of the same age as him. The unnamed girl looked panicked, perhaps horrified that she was caught sneaking around in this place. Long'Er broke the silence first.
"Are you okay?" The girl hesitated, before immediately standing up with a slight grimace.
He fled without answering the question, leaving behind a very confused Long'Er who was sitting on the ground.
What the hell just happened?
After countless attempts to force Long'Er that she should join them in pleasure, she could not find any more excuses. Having no choice, she stepped out of her room bitterly after dressing herself in a casual robe. He stepped into the agreed meeting point - the entrance of the palace.
His mind is making plans to get out of the house******* once the people are drunk. He cannot possibly flirt and drink wine with women when he himself is a woman. While he was deep in thought, he caught a fleeting shadow disappearing behind the wall to his right.
It could be that his eyes were playing tricks on him or it was just a cat, but Long'Er decided to investigate it out of curiosity. Following the path that the shadow had taken, he realized that he was going through a small, dark path that would eventually lead him to the back of the stables. There are no servants or guards in sight, which makes it the perfect place for mistakes to happen.
Long'Er walked slowly through the area, stopping in a corner before bowing low. Peering at a glance, she saw her target - a petite figure clad in a dark blue flower patterned dress.
When the person turned around, Long'Er immediately ducked behind the wall to avoid being seen. After taking a quick glance to make sure no one was looking, the mysterious girl continued to pile up wooden chests on the tall stone walls. With a deep breath, he placed one foot on top of the box and climbed up. Judging from his strange actions, it seemed like he was trying to cross the wall and sneak out of the palace.
The plan was almost successful unless there was a shortage. The girl's hand could reach the top but she did not have the strength to lift herself up. In the middle of the jump, he accidentally slipped from the chest. There was a sudden loud noise to the ground, followed by a loud shout.
Worried, Long'Er emerged from her hiding place but when it seemed like the girl was unharmed, she ended up watching him amusedly. Muttering a series of unintelligent curses, the clumsy girl rubbed the ground from her knees and arms with a frown on her face.
"Need help?" Long'Er's voice shocked him, who immediately rose to his feet.
"Who's there!?" his voice was filled with fear knowing that he was caught red-handed.
As his eyes met with Long'Er under the dim moonlight, an introduction shone within.
"It's you again, Masked Man." He flinched in shock.
"Are you going to kidnap me?"
"What's? Of course not, why would I do that?" The girl crossed her arms, clearly thinking that Long'Er was lying.
"I don't know. Maybe you wanted a ransom to kidnap me, or you were so fascinated by my beauty that you wanted to make me my bride !?" Unable to resist that urge, Long'Er rolled her eyes at the outrageous accusation.
"Miss, you can rest your fears. For the record, I am one of the Prince's bodyguards. And if you don't realize it, you're doing a terrible job sneaking up on this palace" she points out.
"So, do you need help or not?"
"The chests are slippery!" the girl snapped, knowing that Long'Er had watched her fall.
It seemed obvious that her angry face was a way to hide her embarrassment.
"But if you insist, I'll accept your offer."
"Again," he continued,
"weren't you always this rude? I must order my bodyguards to punish you with twenty blows for your insolence to a royal princess."
"Daughter?" Long'Er repeated in surprise. He looked up and down, curling his brows with pure skepticism.
"You're the Crown Prince's younger sister?"
