The Crescent Moon Duo the Continent Explorer
Chapter 51: The new ruler

Nusa went into a cafe, where people gathered from all over the city. The cafe has a three-story building, with a flower garden in the rooftop section.

"There's something I can help you with, sir." A waitress approached Nusa who was standing in front of the cafe exit.

"I want to order a table for three people." Nusa glanced at another table full. The waiter nodded, escorting Nusa to find an empty table.

"I'm sorry sir, only this table is left, almost all the tables are full." The waiter drove Nusa to the corner of the cafe. There is one place that is still empty.

"No problem, the most important thing is there's still a table for me." Nusa glanced at the waiter. "I'd like to see the menu at this cafe."

Nusa saw the menu list. There are approximately 32 foods neatly arranged in it. While waiting for Tara and Atita, Nusa ordered some mainstay cafe menu.

Five minutes passed, the servants came while carrying a tray containing Nusa's message. Not long after Tara and Atita came, sitting next to Nusa.

"What's our plan now?!" tara asked while scooping the hot sauce. "I think the city is quite cozy-compared to the city before."

"I think soon this city will become a battlefield. The intruders have taken control of almost the entire city."

"Where did you get that information?" tara was confused.

"Hm... That's a secret." Nusa took a small paper under the table. "Port cities are vital to a country. Just imagine if this port is controlled by a foreign country. The economy in this country is definitely shaken. Of the thousands of buildings in the city, only a handful are used by the indigenous population. For example, this cafe, the owner is a native. Wh why? because the price offered is relatively more expensive than other cafes. Of course with a taste that is no less delicious than cafes owned by outsiders."

Nusa smile.

"Tonight we go to the mayor's palace. We're making a noise there. After that we take the palace and take control of this city. Take care of it."

"But the fight this time will not be easy, sir. It could be that high-level adventurers are coming to attack." Atita commented.

Tara called out to one of the female waitresses at the cafe who was sitting down casually. The waiter asked Tara to sit next to him. "We just arrived in this town. If it's acceptable, may we know the current state of the port city."

The waiter nodded.

"It used to be a port city famous for its shipping lanes. Tens to hundreds of ships tendered every day at the dock. The majority of the population bersatapaharian as fishermen and porters. But after the new mastery came to power, our lives slowly changed. Fishing activities are prohibited, the fishermen are required to sell their boats to the authorities.

"Not only that. We were also forced to borrow money with too much interest. Because our livelihood has been lost, we cannot pay the debt. To pay off the interest alone is very burdensome. One by one the houses were taken by the ruler. Because the house or land is used as collateral to borrow money we never need."

"Why don't you reject the decision of the new ruler?!" tara said a little upset.

The waiter nodded.

"If we refuse, the soldiers will drive us out of the city. What's worse is that we could be executed by a new ruler at any time. For that I suggest that you do not carelessly talk in the city. It could be that the person you're talking to is the new ruler's spy."
