The Only Opportunity

"He wants to buy our time" Hector said as he continued to try to avoid and create a place for everyone to stand

"Why is that?" Jun asked, with Lumia being curious

"If we let it take more time, the Maledict of Corruption will be born completely, letting the child die"

"Oh my God! I won't let that happen!"

Realizing that Jun was about to jump down, Hector instantly created an air that sent Jun bouncing back up, so that he returned on a smooth footing in the empty air

"Why are you blocking me??" Jun said

"You want to die?? I'm sure Lloyd died because of that too!!" Hector shouted at him

"No need to talk about that! You also say-!"

"Jun Venia! Hold your position and keep dodging!" Lumia then ordered

He leaps into Jun's position, and along with Hector, takes Jun away from the reach of Corruption which nearly pierces them using his slowly disappearing power along with the grounding force created by Terror

"You'll notice the extent of the Maledict attack" Hector began to speak

Jun realizes one thing, according to Hector's words as they begin to avoid it again

"He can't reach an area too far from his main body!" Jun concluded, nodding by Lumia and Hector

"And listen to this!" Hector said before dodging and coming back closer to whisper

"I can't use Terror for 2 tasks at once and catch it. But, Tenet can help with that, through the girl"

After he whispered, they were again attacked so they had to part ways again

"Noah! Get up now and help us!" Hector said

"I can if this thing doesn't always shatter-!"

*BZZZT!!*

Noah's face that had just healed back was immediately destroyed again by Corruption, for the umpteenth time

Therefore, Hector is forced to go to Tenet to whisper, while Jun continues to focus on finding space, and cares nothing but to avoid

And on and on, until...

Several pairs of chains moved to attack Corruption. Their shocked enemy immediately brushed off the chain and put the virus on it

Ariel, still under Ulysses' control, was ordered to break the chain, and succeeded. Before the virus got any closer, the chain had already fallen to the ground first. Exactly according to the plan that Hector had made

And it's not just that the function of the chain that just slid

When the Maledict of Corruption realized something was strange, he also caught Noah being saved by all of them. His head now looks like he is a dog trying to bite, held by Ulysses who still remains calm

The chain used earlier was 3. 2 to attack Maledict from behind, and another to pull Noah's hat which was still intact and had a few drops of his blood thick

And since his body was destroyed by the Virus every time it was plastered, now it was completely absent from his body

He was able to fully recover, immediately put on the clothes Fuyuki gave him and prepared to face the Maledict of Corruption

Jun who seemed to think that even got one idea

"The child cannot die. Tenet could help Ariel to deploy the chain. And Hector"

He looked doubtful, but the plan he had was already perfect

Therefore, he decided to tell Hector before Corruption finished gathering strength

"The chain belonging to Ariel's weapon can neutralize Malefic's energy. Also, I have a serum that is used to stop the energy infection in a person's body" Jun whispered near Fuyuki, Lumia, Hector and Noah

"Why do you have that thing?" The worried Hector asked

"Because the boy needs it every time he uses the power of Corruption" Jun explained, making Hector a little relieved

"If this boy named Noah can get close, and inject that kid with the serum I have, we're guaranteed to win" he once again explained his grand plan

"And therefore we need the help of the girl chain to neutralize its power for a while" Hector added, reciprocated by Jun's finger flick that was amazed he could understand

He deftly removed a serum from the storage module he had

"This. One of his serums. Make sure you don't fail because it will be our hidden trick" Jun said to Noah who immediately accepted it

That serum can save me from the corruption bond. And Noah must be right on target in carrying out his duties

One failed, forever failed. They won't get another chance if this plan collapses

This is the only chance

"I will definitely save that boy, Akira Jun. Sure" Noah was determined

"Call me teacher if you want to honor me"

"Not in a million years"

Jun only laughed faintly at Noah's comment. Before, he was struck by Corruption who could finally attack again

"Oh. So the power of the chain is the same as the Negation's..." Corruption commented

He then clenched his teeth in annoyance, then started attacking blindly again, this time throwing a lot of viruses to attack at once

But he immediately dodged and moved away from the chain, but was immediately startled by Jun and Lumia who were preparing to slash at him

Knowing that they intended to slash without hesitation, Corruption was frightened and immediately planted the virus on the cliffs of the area, thus dropping some of its fragments on Jun and Lumia

But they actually rotate the body in the air, unite their feet and push each other with the momentum given the impulse to avoid the landslide attack which then almost hit Corruption itself

Both landed and came from two different directions from Maledict simultaneously. To help them, Fuyuki throws some knives to distract Maledict from his attacker

Unfortunately, the two men were successfully dispelled when Corruption created a cage that protected him

Not daring to sacrifice their weapons too early, the two immediately took a step back and managed to dodge the attack of the virus that had spread to their feet

And seeing that opportunity, Corruption also made it as a weapon, dropping a cliff directly over Lumia who could barely avoid until one of her legs had to be broken

Lumia was also lying on the ground and was unable to fight anymore even though she managed to avoid fatal injuries

But, Corruption missed one more surprise attack, which naturally left him shocked to death

Noah, coming right off the top of his body with a syringe containing serum ready to be injected into his body

And he was very close. It was so close, that Corruption had no time to dodge

He tries to use his powers to break his enemy's body into pieces, but realizes that it will be useless because Noah's hand is too far from his reach

So he also focused on one thing so that he would not be destroyed in that place right now

When Noah manages to hit his body, Corruption catches a syringe held by Noah, and in an instant

*BZZT!!*

Their last hope of being destroyed along with the serum also made everyone stare. Their last hope collapses in time, when Noah fails to implant the syringe in my body and Maledict

And he began to be turned into ashes again as the virus spread across his chest, causing everyone to panic even more about the situation. They resigned, trying to make a vague plan to overcome Corruption in the next day

Right from behind him, making Corruption surprised by the presence of the person who carries a syringe that is the same content as Noah had it. Jun, come right up to Maledict's direction, to inject him with the anti-Malefic serum

Noah was surprised too. But realizing Jun's intention, before Corruption could make a move, he immediately restrained both hands so that once again Maledict was distracted

Knowing there was no hope, he decided to leave with a single scream

The Viruses formed into thorns in all directions, as my neck was pierced and penetrated by the serum, indicating that they had all succeeded in removing the Maledict of Corruption from my consciousness for this time, when his scream was replaced by my original scream
