Hours on the beach, finally they decided to move to Uluwatu Kecak Dance.Tari Kecak Uluwatu can be seen in the Uluwatu Temple area, in Pecatu Village, Kuta Subdistrict, Badung Regency, Bali.

Kecak Dance is one of the traditional Balinese arts. You can watch the Kecak Uluwatu Dance performance while visiting there. This dance was created in 1930 by a Balinese dance artist, Wayan Limbak. When on vacation to Bali, you can also watch the Kecak Dance performance as an entertainment that is very dear if missed.

What is unique about Kecak Uluwatu Dance is that the show is performed on a cliff in the Uluwatu Temple area. From the top of Uluwatu cliff, the presentation of the sea nature increasingly looks beautiful and charming. It is fitting that this Uluwatu area is never deserted by visitors.

Kecak dance is played by about 50 dancers. The dancers sit in a circle while saying the word “cak-cak-cak” simultaneously. The drama that was performed carries the Ramayana story. Therefore there are dancers who play as Rama, Sinta, Ravana, Hanoman and Sugriwa.

The spectators watching sat in a circle with other tourists. All the audience faces the dancers who will perform the Kecak Dance performance. There was a furnace in the middle of the dancers as a performance equipment.

Before entering the location of Uluwatu Temple, tourists will be asked to wear a scarf cloth on the waist. If you happen to be wearing short clothes above the knee, then you should wear a sarong. This is because Uluwatu Temple is a sacred location and to honor when in a place of worship. Women who are menstruating are allowed to watch this Kecak Dance show.

Kecak Uluwatu Dance performance schedule is every day at 18.00 – 19.00 WITA. You can get the cheapest ticket price by contacting a travel agent who provides Kecak Uluwatu Dance tour packages. Tickets for children are valid for children over the age of three. Those under three years are free of charge, aka free tickets.

If you want to watch the Kecak Uluwatu Dance show, you should avoid weekends. Because it is certain that tourists who participate in watching the Kecak Dance show will be full and crowded. You can come on Monday or Tuesday, if you want to enjoy the show with a looser sitting position because fewer spectators come.
