Emma's sudden presence made the two very surprised. Especially with Shena, all this time she was so admired by Emma, but now she seems to feel like the most despicable woman when she took part in the lie that Elvino kept tight. 

Shena continued to fold her lips inward as her hands squeezed into each other. Fear and groggy raged greeting his heart. In fact, a few days ago, Elvino and Shena had planned to tell the truth to the mother. However, not yet the intention was channeled, disaster seemed to hit them. “EL! Why silent?” emma asked, her steps getting steadily closer towards Elvino. 

“Ma, we sit there first, I will clear everything.” 

Emma's sharp glances were able to make the man submit obediently, all this time she had never once failed her mother. However, this time he was in a difficult position, married to a woman without Emma's knowledge, it was as much a suicide in a dead well, horror. 

Elvino takes Emma with him, invites her to sit in the lounge, followed by Shena behind him. As the three sat facing each other, Emma stared intensely at Shena. 

“Shena, Aunt did not expect it, it turns out you .. are you married? Then, why are you going to my son's apartment. At first I was amazed by you, looking polite, kind, but now look! “Ma, enough!” snapped Elvino who was furious with Emma's remark, he did not accept his mother insulting his wife.

“El apologize, but can't Mama shut up for a moment, El want to explain something important to Mama. If Mama keeps talking, when can I explain, Ma.”

Shena who saw the showdown between the child and the mother felt a little fear, her heart racing she tried to regulate her breathing to calm down. Without realizing it, the woman's eyes glazed over, especially when Emma considered her a lowly woman for having an affair with her son. In fact, she was Elvino's legal wife. 

“Shena is a very good woman, a woman who even greatly keeps her pride, Ma. It is not appropriate that Mama considers her a woman not right as out there.” 

“Then, what does this mean? A woman and a man are alone in the apartment, especially if it's not because you have a special relationship, El. Don't you know she's married? Don't be your stupid man, El!”

Elvino then glanced at Shena, the woman just lowered her head and fell silent. However, the man understood very well that his wife was crying because of Emma's rude speech. 

Emma exhaled a rough breath. “Quickly, say to Mama, what's wrong with you.”

“Shena, she .. she's Elvino's legal wife, Ma.” 

“APA!” 

“Yes, Elvino is married to Shena. I am her husband, not another man.”

Emma's eyes were perfectly rounded when she heard Elvino's words. His forehead frowned and continued to stare at Elvino sharply. “What does this mean, huh! Don't joke, El. Mama asked seriously with you, what happened actually!” 

“Should be how El says it, El's been honest. About El's marriage, which El secretly apologized for. But, El and Shena have a hard time trying to be frank, Ma. It's just that we haven't found the right time. 

“Nikah ... what the hell is this, El! How can you get married without the blessing of Mama and Papa. Do you think we're dead, huh? How ugly you are El!”

“Shena, you go to the room first, it's okay. Let me talk to Mama.”  Elvino nodded softly at Shena, hinting for her to calm down. 

Powerless to hold back her tears and fear, Shena finally chose to dodge. “Excuse me, Aunt.” 

“Elvino, explain same Mama everything, detailed! Nothing to cover up!” 

“So, the story is like this, Ma ..” 

Elvino explained everything about the sudden marriage that made him desperate at the time. Not to forget, he also revealed the contents of his heart that did love Shena. She was the only woman he had in his heart, even since before his divorce from Celia.

After hearing all Elvino's explanations, Emma felt relieved and could breathe quietly. How not, the woman who wanted to be a daughter-in-law, now seems to be a reality.

“So, in the future, El will soon publish Shena, I hope Mama and Papa can accept Shena as a daughter-in-law.”

“It's not that easy, El! You think that by making a mistake, Mama will easily forgive you? Remember, you just think we don't exist. Mom disappointed in you!”

“Alright, then Mama's home. Mama will arrange everything. Don't comment on anything you're going to do. Understand!” 

“Mama want to do what?” ask Elvino. She was afraid that her mother would act recklessly, just like when she did anything to Celia. 

“Mama never hurt him, I love him so much. Just a little bit Mama hurt Shena, El won't stay silent. It's the same Mama tortured me,” Elvino said as she whispered softly near Emma's ear. 

“Basic brat! How dare you threaten Mama, huh!”Emma with the spirit of beating Elvino's ears.

Without looking at Elvino, Emma then sauntered out of the apartment without saying goodbye to Elvino. The woman walked with a thousand thoughts in her head. There was too much he had planned, no matter which step he had to take, which was obvious, the woman would do something Elvino had never thought of before. 

Elvino stared at his mother's departure until the door of the apartment was closed violently. He soon meets Shena in the room. It looks like the woman is snuggling up in bed. Sometimes he rubbed his nose with a tissue.

Elvino walked closer to the bed, then sat down next to Shena who was behind him.

“I never want to see you cry again except happy crying. Until then, I will keep trying to make you laugh, Shen. Come here!” Elvino touched Shena's shoulder, telling the woman to turn her body.

Without a word, Shena said, she turned to look at Elvino with her eyes closed. “I don't know how else to deal with all this. Too complicated, El.”

“Shhtt, no more crying, yes. Don't think too much of Mama, I'll handle it.” Elvino gently caressed Shena's cheeks that were wet with tears. The man then broke down his body, then tightly hugged Shena from behind. The two fell asleep on one pillow and one blanket.
