The Art Of Badminton

The Art Of Badminton
Just dream first, Rey !

The third women's singles match between Carolina Marin of Spain and Shindu of India was won by Carolina Marin.

Marin who was nicknamed 'The Queen screams five octaves' appear so savage. Fast games as well as sharp smash-smash became his trademark.

While playing on the field, he never shut up. Even if the opponent asks for permission to just wipe the sweat, he prefers to surround his own room while commuting.

But when he feels cornered and loses points constantly, he is also an expert to make players and referees annoyed because they often ask for permission to wipe his sweat.

Regardless, Carolina Marin is one of the best female singles players in the world. And he became the first Spaniard to win many games even an Olympic gold medal for Badminton.

The success of his career and the persistence he rose after a long injury will never tire of being discussed.

While Shindu players from India must be satisfied to be Runner Up. Shindu are both ranked in the top five of the World with Marin. But this year Shindu has not won the tournament once. His best achievement this year is to be the Runner Up at the Indonesia Open today.

Match three men's doubles Indonesian couple Marcus - Kevin should be postponed for another half hour. There seems to be a problem that makes this game a delay and it makes the whole stadium feel disappointed. They are constantly shouting the names of Kevin and Marcus because they can't wait to see this much-awaited game.

For me with the postponement of this match does not matter. I got up from my seat and intended to go to the toilet before the game started.

I passed Nay and then stood in front of Grandpa.

"Grandpa ! I'm gonna go back a minute. Does Grandpa want me to buy you something?" I asked him.

"This place is so vast, you will get lost ! Let's let Grandpa anter !"

"Not need ! " I'm ashamed to be afraid that Nay is listening.

"But Rey, are you sure you won't get lost?" Grandpa doesn't seem to believe me.

"There must be a clue, Grandpa need not worry !" I convinced Grandpa.

Grandpa still looked doubtful. "But Rey! Don't be late, you'll be left out of Minions !" Grandpa said grinningly.

I rushed up the stairs when Nay suddenly shouted a little.

"Rey wait !" I turned my body. It was Nay who called me. For the first time this woman 'Nay' called my name.

Nay ran to me. Grandpa gave me a wink, I knew what he meant, and it made me awkward and embarrassed.

I walked along with Nay through the stairs and out of the stands. It turns out that many viewers who mempaatkan this to just go to the toilet or buy snacks like me.

The situation on the stairs out was very crowded. Several times my body was nudged by someone who rushed out probably because they could not bear to go to the toilet.

Someone suddenly slammed in between me and Nay. Nay almost fell, and I quickly held Nay's arm so that his body would not fall back.

I'm still holding Nay's arm. She finally immediately balanced her body and held onto my arm to pull her body forward.

"Almost just !" Nay said softly. "Thank you Rey !" He then added.

I nodded awkwardly while scratching my head at the confusion of what to respond.

After a bit of confusion, Nay and I finally found the toilet.

Nay finally came out and approached me.

"sorry a bit long" he said slowly. As usual, I could only nod without saying anything.

Nay and I immediately returned to the stands afraid that the match had already begun.

When I returned to the stands, I saw a place that caught my attention.

I immediately fell silent and looked in that direction. Nay stopped and looked at what I was watching.

"There's still fifteen minutes of Rey !"

"I see the clock in my hand."

"Come on, I'll get you Rey !"

Nay pushed my body. I couldn't resist it, because I wanted to see the place.

Nay and I were in a place like a museum but smaller. There are a lot of pictures hanging. I look around carefully. I saw pictures of the founders of the Badminton organization when it was first formed. I also saw badminton legends from all over the world. There's a lot I know, but there's a lot more that I don't know either. If only with Grandpa he would have been very happy, and in a day it might not have been enough to tell him all this.

I stopped a long time in one part. I look at it carefully and it amazes me.

"This is my goal. My dream all along." I said in my heart

Nay approached and stood right next to me. He noticed something that fascinated me. He smiled at me as if he understood what was inside my head.

"Dream first, Rey !" Say Nay softly.

His words really woke me up. I realized I was still very far away, even very far from all this. But I was determined to get there even by spending a long time.

I'm still stunned by a big poster or what's the name. A poster containing the calendar BWF (World Badminton Federation) which starts from the schedule of International Chalenge which is a match for the juniors, which was then followed by Super series world tour starting from super 100, which was followed by Super series world tour, super 300, super 500, super 750, and of course Super 1000 like the Indonesia Open event this time which is usually intended for top level players. Not only that, next there is the BWF World Tour Final and of course the World Championship. That does not include team championships like Thomas and Uber Cup as well as Team Championships of each Continent and of course the Olympics which is the career peak of all Athletes.

I was really shaking just looking at all this. I imagined what would happen if I had gone through all those levels. 'A Legend', That's what a player who has gone through all these stages.

"Don't dream too far first Rey ! just start little by little. I too, will try to chase you athletes !"

I looked at Nay, and I couldn't believe it in this short time that we knew each other well enough.

"Make sure we'll see Rey again !" Nay said suddenly and made me surprised and blushed in embarrassment. I'm flattered that Nay wants to see me again.

"Event U-17 make sure your dreams start from there !" I realized what Nay meant. He made sure I qualified for the U-17 National Championship and met again there. " Will it be just a few months Rey! " Nay added while encouraging me. I was shocked and felt helpless.

My confidence went down, there was a bit of fear, but on the other hand, it was true Nay said that it was where my dreams would gradually begin to materialize.

Nay and I returned to the stands as soon as possible, fearing that the men's doubles match had already begun.

Arriving at the Grandapa Tribune occupied my place and was busy talking to someone who bought the ticket earlier.

Grandpa waved his hand and told me to sit next to him, while Nay was sitting on the chair next to me where Grandapa had sat before.

Grandpa smiled mischievously at me while blinking his eyes. I shuddered as well as blushed in embarrassment, but there was also a sense of happiness appearing on my chest.
