"Why did you go back and forth looking for Evie?" The question makes Hazel tick, pockmarked when it is none of her business. Hazel clucked and looked back again, who knew if there was a waiter or someone with an envelope she was waiting for.
Since Matteo expressed his feelings and even asked him to marry clearly, Hazel chose to send a letter to Camorra that contained a lot of questions related to Matteo, I don't know why he was so impatient to wait for the reply.
But the reply never came to him, usually Camorra reply quickly but this is really no news. Or maybe Matteo will send him a letter to explain more about yesterday. He was expecting one of them.
"Since you've been daydreaming, like you've been restless and waiting for something, is there anything to come?" ask Arzhel again because the question was caught up and left without getting a reply.
"I was just waiting for a letter from Camorra" Hazel finally replied. Arzhel and his family have been coming since an hour ago, but Hazel invites Arzhel to go for a walk because if they are around their family for a long time they have to keep pretending.
Hazel knew that Arzhel must be uncomfortable so she just took him away, less attention how else to try?
"Oh, why don't you ask Camorra and Matteo to come over so you can play? or at least not alone" said Arzhel, they stopped in one of the hallways leading to a side yard where there was a small fountain there decorated with a pond filled with fish.
"You want someone to visit when I'm playing, not polite, right?" hazel Judes answered, he rested his hands on the balcony railing, watching some birds seen several times stopping by his pond.
"Say you want to be alone with me," chirped Arzhel who immediately made Hazel turn with a stern look and then turn her eyes lazy and look back at the pool.
"As much as you are," replied Hazel lazily, her netting because it was so hot outside. While Arzhel was silent, looking in the same direction as Hazel, his mind re-remembered the day Alexa saw them both.
"I'm sorry" said Arzhel, suddenly making Hazel turn and frown, the man did the same thing and now they are staring at each other. "On Alexa that time to make you fall. I'm sorry I don't remember you not taking the train."
Hazel's countenance turned flat, not that she wasn't hurt or upset but that Hazel just didn't care because she thought it was useless in question. Arzhel will certainly defend Alexa as well.
"You don't"
"Let me be honest." Hazel interjected, facing her whole body to the man. "From the beginning, I was only interested in you, Arzhel."
Arzhel's face was clearly surprised, but tried to remain ordinary. Waiting for Hazel to continue.
"If it wasn't for Father and Mother who wanted me to marry you I wouldn't either, I just happen to be a filial son so I'm following it because I think you might think that way too. But in fact you chose another girl who, like everyone else, said you shouldn't choose."
"I've been patient all this time, but after you humiliated me I realized. You just don't know the real Alexa yet" Hazel said. "From the beginning there was no love for you from me."
Arzhel was silent, but then one corner of his lips was drawn to bring up a slanted smile that actually looked mocking. "If there had been no love from the beginning, we wouldn't have gone that far, everyone."
Crazy, what has he been doing all this time just for the continued attention of the man?
Archel approached making Hazel a little flinch but she did not back down. "You're just denials to your own feelings."
