The Age Different Pairs

The Age Different Pairs
Chapter 13

Upon arriving at her home, Rara finds Alvin already waiting in the living room. The young man was engrossed in reading something on his phone while laughing amusedly. When he saw Rara coming, his head looked up and a big smile fell on his face.

"Lo wait a long time?" Rara asked as she arrived in front of Alvin.

"No, kok. I also just came," replied Alvin, "Lo change clothes first, deh. After that we leave."

"From the moment I was curious, where did you actually take me?"

"There was. Anyway you come along. Yea?"

Rara really gave up. It's better for him to follow Alvin's will than to let his curiosity take over. He walked to his room on the second floor and half an hour later he was back in the living room.

"Yuk," Alvin reached out his hand and grabbed Rara's hand.

The two of them then headed to Alvin's car which was parked in front of the door and went inside. Rara put on her seatbelt as her eyes fell on a small brown leather-bound book on the dashboard.

"Eh, Vin, this is lo's?"

Alvin glanced at the book that Rara pointed at and blinked. Her hand quickly picked up the book and threw it back, leaving Rara in shock.

"Why did you throw the book, anyway?" Ask the girl confused.

"No papa. It's not an important book, though." The young man replied while starting the car engine.

Rara just wants to believe. But seeing the look on Alvin's face that didn't seem to want him to see the book once again relented. It is better to give up first for now, however, there are times when the young will succumb to the older.

Inget if Rara's older than Alvin, right?

***

Rara's eyes stared at the building in front of her. The building with colorful paint does look attractive to the eye, especially for children.

Is correct. Alvin took her to a kindergarten. I don't know what that guy was thinking. But seeing the look on Alvin's rather bright face, inevitably his mind thought about what exactly the man's plan was.

Just as Rara was about to ask, someone's voice interrupted her speech.

"Well, Son Alvin really came,"

Rara turned towards a middle-aged woman in a moss-green blazer suit. The look on the woman's face was so soft and maternal. A few children followed behind him. The woman looked at him for a moment then turned towards Alvin, who nodded at the middle-aged woman's eye gesture.

He looked back at Rara and a gentle smile appeared on his face, "For a long time no see, Nak Rara. Remember the same mother?"

"Eh, anu ...,"

"You used to go to school here" he said again, "But you must have forgotten, huh? Mother's name, Regina Faradisa. It was my mother who taught you here."

"Bus ... Regina?"

Rara frowned. He ever go to this kindergarten? Why can't he remember? He could remember his memories before entering Primary School ....

Wait for. Something is wrong.

Something is wrong ....

"Rome!"

Rara blinked when she heard Alvin's voice right near her ear. He turned his head and found the look on Alvin's face that looked anxious, and then on Bu Regina's face in front of them.

"Ra, you're fine, right?" Ask Alvin.

"A .. I ...."

Suddenly Rara's head hurt. He grimaced because the pain was really intense as if tearing his head.

"Rho? Lo horrified me, right? Rara!" Alvin shook Rara's shoulders which started to relax and her eyes were almost closed.

Rara's hand gripped the man's sleeve before feeling the pain in her head take over consciousness.

***

Ah .. It feels weird. Why did he feel like he had seen this place?

A field with grass that looks like a carpet. Two swings that stand upright in a corner of the park, a sandbox and some seesaws played by children. Rara herself stood near one of the swings and looked as if watching a movie about the past of a main character.

"Hey, wait!!"

The voice surprised him and he turned around, finding three small children running towards a nearby swing. One of the three children was a woman, with two hairs and a pink shirt that made her look sweet. Two other children, two boys, one slightly shorter and wearing thick glasses ran after the boy who was carrying a leg ball in his hand.

The three of them ran towards the swing and the child carrying the ball of the foot instantly occupied one of the swings while the other child wearing glasses stood beside the other swing and waited for the daughter chasing them until in front of them.

"You're evil. Don't wait for Rara to finish dancing." Said the little girl while puffing her cheeks.

"Well, Rara dandan, lama!"

Rara looked at the little boy sitting on the swing and while laughing swayed her swing. Little Rara puffed her cheeks. The boy in glasses saw little Rara as if she was going to cry and poke her shoulders, "Rara is sitting here alone. Let me push the swing."

Little Rara looked at the glasses boy and smiled. He quickly sat down in front of the glasses boy and slid his tongue at the boy next to him, "Keenan is more attentive than you. I don't want to be friends with Alvin anymore if you don't apologize."

Keenans? Alvin's?

Rara stared at the bespectacled little boy who was pushing the swing worn by her as a child. His eyes were fixed on the little boy. The thick glasses he wore made Rara barely see the sharp eyes similar to those of Alvin.

This bespectacled boy .. Then the boy who was playing the swing next to him was really Alvin?

"Rara can't do that" Keenan said as he continued to push the swing Rara was riding, "Let's just say that, Alvin invited us here. Rara should thank Alvin."

Little Rara turned to look at little Alvin while grinning, "But Alvin did not want to wait for Rara to finish dancing. Mama says that Rara should be able to dress up so that Rara's future husband is happy."

Little Alvin just chuckled while Keenan frowned.

"What is a husband? Can it be eaten?" Ask the little boy plain.

Little Rara and little Alvin looked at each other before laughing out loud at Keenan's plain speech.

Rara frowned. Is this one of his memories? But when has he ever experienced something like this?

He doesn't remember. Why did he never know he had this kind of memory?

And again, before getting the answer, Rara felt her body being pulled into the darkness and the first thing she saw was Alvin's face staring anxiously at her.

"Al ... vin?"

"Ra, are you conscious?" Alvin smiled relievedly seeing Rara had regained consciousness. He helped the girl sit down and gave her a glass of water.

Rara drank the cold water obediently. His eyes looked at the room they were in. It seemed that the room they were in was the workroom of the kindergarten principal they had visited. Rara could hear the voices of the little children out there.

Alvin put down the glass that had been drunk by Rara and looked at the girl, "Lo really no papa? Do we need to go home now?"

"No papa. I feel so sad." Rara. "Where's Miss Regina?"

"For nemenin kids play. He will be here soon too." Answer Alvin.

Rara mangosteen understands.

"Sorry, Ra. I think you're in shock I brought it here." Alvin said, "I don't really intend to bring you here. You're afraid to think about what we're going to do here."

Alvin sees Rara at a glance then continues his speech, "Lo was once schooled in this kindergarten, Ra. What's lo inget?"

"Gue .. don't remember." Rara shook her head, "But why do you know if I ever went to school in this kindergarten?"

"Because I've been at school with you here," Alvin smiled grimly, "And here also happened an event that made you forget about this school, me, and ... Keenan."

Hearing the name Keenan called, Rara remembered her dream earlier. The shadow of the boy who always played ball every time he met him flashed through his mind, as did the bespectacled boy who always followed him and Keenan everywhere.

Seeing Rara's somewhat changed countenance, Alvin did not feel like continuing but he knew he had to explain something to the girl. One little secret that he had been guarding had to be revealed to him.

"Ra, you know why we're being betrothed?" alvin asked, then he answered himself, "It was because of a promise made by Mom and Mama Lo. No one knows that Mom is a famous and mysterious designer, befriended by your famous nyokap, but with her own light. Broadly speaking, our matchmaking is arranged by our parents. But actually this matchmaking happened because of your little promise with Keenan first."

"What?"

"The one you're supposed to be betrothed to is Keenan, not me." Alvin's smile became even more sad, "Because you and he had promised to get married when you were both adults. I'm just Keenan's replacement, Ra."
