Chapters 18. Cake Shop

After I got home from school, I went back to the cake shop. When I arrived, I went inside. Looks a lot of various kinds of cakes ranging from the type, shape and size on display.

"Welcome!", greet a woman with a smile that spoils the eyes.

"Is there anything you can help?", he continued.

"Ah well, I saw a brochure attached in front of me about finding workers, so I wanted to offer myself", I said.

"Ah then wait a moment, I call my father.", said the woman as she went inside.

I also saw - look around how refreshing the cake - the cake on display made me feel hungry so quickly came. Soon the woman came back with an old man.

"So you're the one who wants to offer yourself a job here?", the old man asked.

"He's right", I replied.

"So yes, introduce me Budi Ahmad the owner of this cake shop, let's sit there.", he said while inviting me.

"Well.", I replied as I followed her.

"Then introduce yourself", said Mr. Budi.

"My name is Luki Sakti. I am still a 1st grade student at High School near here and live alone around here.", I explained.

"One of my daughters also attended school there and that was his sister who was still Junior High." explained Mr. Budi.

"Still SMP ?! It turns out that I can't see from the cover. When I first saw her, she looked very responsible and mature. Let alone she was beautiful.", I muttered inwardly glancing at the woman.

"Then what about your parents?" said Mr. Budi.

"My parents are gone, so I am looking for a job while in school" I explained.

"That's it, it must be heavy", replied Mr. Budi.

"Alright, you will I accept. from tomorrow you can work here, you work from 16.50 pm to 22.15 pm every Monday until Friday.. Are you willing?", explained Budi.

"I can!", I insisted.

"Mira ! Come here for a moment", shouted Mr. Budi.

"Yes father.", said the woman.

"He is Mira, so he will explain everything you will do. Then I will go back to the kitchen" said Mr. Budi.

"Include, Mira Cintya".", he said.

"Cintya ?! I've heard it, but where it is", I murmured in my heart.

"I'm Luki Sakti, please guide her.", I reply.

"No need to be formal, from the talk I heard, I'm younger than Bang Luki.. Bang Luki can call Mira aja", he said with a smile.

"Alright, Mira.", reply me.

Then Mira explained everything I was going to do, especially the name of the cakes on display. The job I received was to be a cashier, while Mira was serving the buyers. I feel that Mira is very suitable when communicating with each other with buyers because her attitude and speech are very interesting. Seen in the kitchen, done by Mr. Budi who makes every cake. When I'm hearing an explanation, every time there's a buyer coming. Although the size of this store is fairly moderate, but the fans are so many. Mira explained what was needed while serving the buyers, I suddenly went straight to the practice stage because the buyers who came were quite a lot.

The time has shown 17.40 in the afternoon, I am ready - ready to go home.

"This, there is a little snack for you" I said as I presented it to Hana.

"Cake ?! Uwahhh.it looks very good, thanks.", Hana replies looking happy.

"Oh yes, let's go inside Luki, we enjoy together", continued Hana while pulling me inside.

"Eh but?!", said I.

"Nothing but - but.", he replied.

I went inside and Hannah closed the door. Hana told me to sit down and she went to the kitchen to prepare her cake. Soon Hana came with a cake and a drink. Hana put it on the table and sat down next to me.

"Work eaten, is it necessary to bribe?" said Hana innocently.

"By pleasure.", reply me without a second thought.

"Ehh ?! It was just a joke", said Hana with a reddened face.

"Ah then do not do it.", said I.

"Don't ! Here.", Hana replied while presenting a spoonful of cake to me.

I began to devour her, Hana's face flushed red and we stared at each other for a moment. Before long we realized and Hana turned her red face to hide her embarrassment.

"Ba.. how's the cake?", asked Hana.

"Enak.", reply me.

Hana also began to eat the cake, but a little rushed. I continued to eat the cake. After a while, I turned towards Hana.

"Hana.", I said as I pointed my hand at her face and rubbed around the edges of her lips using my thumb gently.

"Eh?!", shock Hana.

"This. there is the rest of the cake sticking.", I said as I ate the rest of the cake on my thumb from around the edges of his lips earlier.

"Ehh.. ehhhh?!!", surprised Hana with a reddened face.

"Ah shit, I spontaneously did it.", I murmured inwardly.

The atmosphere was momentarily awkward after the incident just now. I tried to find a topic to eliminate this awkward atmosphere but was not thought of at all.

"Ah about the cake, where did you buy a cake like this?" said Hana first.

"Well, it's a relief there's a topic to discuss.", I murmured inwardly.

"It's not from buying, but given from the cake shop where I start working tomorrow" I said.

"Eh, are you going to work?", replied Hana.

"Yes.it was done from the afternoon of Monday to Friday. Fortunately the work is not too heavy and does not require a lot of energy, so I still can.. because I have to meet the needs of the day - day.", I explained.

"That's it. don't push yourself too much" said Hana.

"Sure, thank you.", reply me.

"By the way - by the way where is it?", asked Hana with quite high curiosity.

"Hana also do not know what - what is it.", I said.

"Where is ?!", said Hana while looking at me sharply.

"In the pastry shop all the way to school, it's the only cookie shop around here" I replied resignedly.

"Alright, sometimes I will stop by", said Hana immediately back happy.

After talking and enjoying the cake together, I also leave and go home. I am quite tired today immediately go to take a shower and prepare a meal. Then after everything was done, I rushed to sleep to continue the activities tomorrow.
