Tarnished Before Accident

Tarnished Before Accident
Chapter 61. Almost Healed

There, Mama looks rather healthy. I visited him with Rey after the man came home from work. We walked in tandem with Rey wrapping her hand around my shoulder. He always took care of me, accompanied me wherever I went. Especially now that I am eight months old.

"Be careful!" said Rey as my feet stepped into Mama's room.

"Heem, yes."

I smile. My dream of having a complete and happy family will soon be realized. The mother who is no longer afraid of me, the husband who is always there for me, and the child who will soon be born into the world, is very complete, is not it?

"I'll stay first. If anything happens, call me!" order Rey after I'm in Mama's room. I nodded with her one warm kiss on my forehead before finally coming out of the room leaving me and Mama both.

"Ma, I'm coming." I touched her hand, put the back of Mama's hand on my forehead.

He smiled, rubbed my head. Oh, yes, Mama can talk to me even if I have to try to question and approach her first.

Honestly, I really want to know what happened to my mom. How could he end up in such a miserable state until Kak Rey's men find him. How can I be in the middle of the Hinata family. I wanted to know everything, but Rey forbade me from asking. He said it was very dangerous because Mama is currently in post-traumatic recovery.

We were forbidden from discussing your past because it might have an excessive traumatic effect so I had to be more patient to know everything. Just let the past pass, the important thing is that I can get together again with my mama.

I bribed. The black lips devoured the food I had evaporated. I saw the corner of his eyes glistening. Mama was crying while chewing her mouthfuls of mine.

"Alea, who's the man you're with?"

My mother's question obviously surprised me. Mom never once asked about me. However, at this moment Mama suddenly asked me to speak first. This is truly an amazing development.

"He's my husband, Reynan. We're married, Ma."

"Did he treat you well?"

"Heem." I'm nodding. "Very good. He took good care of me. He helped me find Mama."

"Thank God. Mama's happy to hear it." His thin hands wiped away the tears dripping down his cheeks. "I'm sorry Mama. My mom is not a good mom. But you still want to find and consider Mama your parents."

I shook my head, touching both of his skinny hands. "That's not true. Mom is the best mom. Forget the past. We start at the beginning." I grabbed the old hand, then touched it to my stomach. "So soon he will be born. Mama's gonna be a grandma."

Her lips held a line of smiles. I saw a ray of happiness in his eyes. His palm rubbed my stomach, and at that moment I felt a kick there. "He's moving" he said, shedding tears.

"He knows his grandmother." I cupped Mama's hand. "He can't wait to play with his grandmother."

At that time I wanted to cry. My heart feels incredible. Mama's hand didn't turn on my stomach, rubbing it gently. "He's very active. Mama wishes you happiness."

I nodded, then hugged Mama by sitting on the edge of the bed. He returned my arms like a parent who hadn't seen his son in a long time.

Do you know what makes me so happy?

Maybe everything in this world I can achieve. Money, science, honor, and love. However, the opportunity to love parents cannot be repeated.

And now, God gave me a chance to do that. To meet my mother who for decades has only seen her face.

For those out there while there is a chance to make parents happy, do it! Happy they are within our ability. Because we don't know until when we can be devoted to them. It could be that at this time we can see their smiles, but tomorrow or the day after that smile is no longer there.

Don't let there be regrets like me. Because of a misunderstanding, it leads to lifelong regret for not having a chance to make a father happy.

It was getting late when we decided to go home from the foundation where Mama was. Actually I proposed that Mama stay with me. However, the doctor who handles Mama said that the treatment should still be done until the condition of Mama really improves. Worried that in my old pregnant state I would not be able to care for Mama when the trauma of Mama appeared at the wrong time.

Sis Rey's palm that was coiled around my body rubbed my stomach. He was overjoyed as he felt a sudden movement kick his palm. Sometimes he chuckles a little, then gently rubs on the surface of my stomach.

"Male or female?" asked Rey after feeling slow movement in my stomach.

"Ehmm, I don't know."

"I can't wait to get him to play. Running around on the beach holding her over my shoulder." His hand moved to rub my head. "We're on our honeymoon later."

My face met when Rey whispered the word honeymoon to me. Our marriage has not been legalized by the state because until now Kak Rey's divorce trial has not been fully completed.

Kak Rena asked for a very large stake in the family company Kak Rey because she felt disadvantaged. He accused Rey of cheating behind him with me, his own sister. Kak Rena felt lied to while being his wife. I don't know what else Kak Rena demands for the sake of stalling their divorce trial.

However, Rey said that everything had gotten a bright spot. Tomorrow it is certain that Kak Rena will lose by setting a house and some money as the final decision.

"Where do you want to go? Let me get people to prepare for it."

I looked up a little, looking into the hazel eyes that were now looking at me.

"As far as you. I rarely went on vacation before. The last one is school separation. I'll be happy wherever you take me. As long as we go together."

"Hemm, maybe from now on I should save up," Rey responded to my reply.

"Saving?" Is that much the cost of a honeymoon that makes Kak Rey have to save to make it happen?

"Yes, I'll save up a whole range of nightgowns for you to wear later on your honeymoon." He said while blinking his eyes at me.

"Oh!" I pinched his flat stomach. "Easter!" The talk is not far from that problem.

He chuckled, hugging my body even tighter as he placed his chin on top of my head. However, the moment Rey hugged me, a phone call sounded that made her immediately divert attention.

"Yes" said Rey to answer the call.

I saw a tension in his face. He looked at me without saying anything. It looks like the call looks very serious when viewed from Kak Rey's changed facial expression.

"What's wrong?" I finally dared to ask.

"We go back to the foundation" he said, and immediately told the driver to turn back to go to Mama's place.
