Take Me Off

Take Me Off
Wail

'Your brother took the money in Mr. Reinald's company. And that's a lot, 200 million, Nay. Mother was forced to hand over the home certificate so that Mr. Reinald did not take the matter to the legal track.'

'If you don't do that, your brother will be in jail for embezzling the company's funds."

'Mother actually wants to tell you everything, but it's all gone when you yourself get word of Evano's accident.'

'Mommy's not that bad, Nay. You and Sarah are Mother's children. The only treasure you have. Mother will not have the heart if you see one of you getting into trouble continuously.'

'Pardon Mother, Nay.'

Nayra wiped her tears as she recalled her mother's words. After one problem was finished, now came another new problem caused by his own brother.

200 million. Not the amount Nayra had imagined. To pay half of it, it feels like Nayra will not be able to.

All the items have been lost, starting from the mobile phone Bara, then his atm card. Everything has been taken away by his brother. There are no more items left to sell. Only his mother's savings money left which he has now withdrawn to pay the compartment that is now a shelter.

There is only a bathroom, a bathroom, and a kitchen. There was no living room, no table, no chairs.

Nayra glanced at her Mother, the middle-aged woman moving uncomfortably in her sleep.

Nayra wanted to blame the situation, blame the god who had made his life destiny like this. Tight chest. The tears that he had been holding back from earlier flowed back down his cheeks.

His sobs could no longer hold him. Finally Nayra moved away so as not to disturb the sleep of her mother.

Long enough Nayra cried outside the house, issuing a load that squeezed her chest. Had he been on the hill, Nayra would have cried out as loud as she could.

Nayra poked up, seeing how the moonlight was now covered in thick clouds until the light was not visible in her eyes. There are no stars, only thick clouds that follow the wind.

"Nay."

The gentle call made Nayra quickly wipe away her tears. He answered without looking. Indeed, Nayra could not bear to look into the shady eyes of her Mother. Eyes that were always sparkling are now slowly dimming as the problem continues to come crashing.

"You're angry with Mother, aren't you? Until Mother calls you not shit."

Breathe in slowly. "No, Bun" said Nayra then turned to look at her mother with reddened eyes. "Until now Nay will never be able to be angry with Mother. Mother is a hero, as well as an angel to Nay."

"You crying?"

Nayra. "It's just a chip, Bun, maybe there was dust blowing in the wind so Nay's eyes are rich in gini."

"Mother knows you're inside out, when you're honest or lying Mother knows it, Nay. So don't lie to Mother anymore. Mother seems to fail to be a mother because she cannot meet all your needs."

"Mother." Nayra hugged her mother tightly. "Don't talk like that, I should have failed as a child because I can't make Mother happy."

Mother Farah shook her head, returning Nayra's close embrace by rubbing her now-vibrating small back. Nayra cried again, hiding her face in the recess of the Mother's neck.

Tonight they spend hugging each other, giving each other everything that has happened, and strengthening each other to face tomorrow.
