Chapters. 23. The Duty of a Wife.

Rolize moved out of his study to his room, while Daris remained in the room to continue the work that had been delayed earlier.

Slowly, Rolize opened the door of his room with an erratic feeling. "Wait, why am I so nervous?" He was confused why even settles like this, even though 'could just go straight in as usual.

"Darling!"

Rolize was shocked when he heard Megan's voice, his body retreated a step back in shock. "You-you? Why are you surprising me?" He looked at Megan sharply.

"Ma-sorry, Honey. I didn't accidentally, after all, why are you stuck in a door like this anyway?"

Rolize immediately clucked in annoyance and passed into the room, his heart still pounding violently from the shock earlier. "I'm not pensive, you're the one who came by like that." He threw a dirty face.

Megan just kept quiet and sighed harshly. Rolize could have said that he was not pensive, while he was shocked to such an extent. "Sad. If you're not pensive, why be shocked half to death like that?" He feels bad about himself.

Rolize watched Megan who was currently standing before him. His gaze was then fixated on the two eyes of the woman who looked as if she was crying.

"You've been crying?" rolize's question made Megan look at him.

"Crying?" Megan quickly rubbed her face to remove any tears that might still be there.

"Why are you crying?" asked Rolize again as he moved closer to the woman.

"I, I'm not crying anyway, Tu-uh Honey." He's turned himself into a rage. "I was watching a movie, not deliberately crying. The movie is sad."

Rolize squinted his eyes at Megan. "really? Was she crying because of the movie, and not because of mom and sister?" He looked suspiciously.

"Dear to watch too? Guaranteed you're crying too,"

"What's? Why do I have to watch that unimportant movie?" ketus Rolize made Megan immediately smile knot.

"It turns out he's innocent too, yeah. Does he believe my words?"

Rolize then sat his body on the bed while telling Megan to sit beside him, making the woman immediately approach and sit in that place.

"Did mom and sister hurt you?"

Megan fell silent upon hearing Rolize's question. "How's this? Should I complain about everything? But, why do I feel as if Rolize knows about what happened just now?" He was confused himself.

"Why silence? Don't you understand my question?" tanya Rolize again made Megan's daydream stop.

"They, they didn't hurt me. Just to talk," said Megan even though asking her to speak is very painful.

"If they do something, you have to tell me right away. Do you understand?"

Megan nodded her head. "Alright, Honey. But, why did you come home so quickly? Isn't there still work?" He glanced at the clock hanging on the wall, and showed it at 5 o'clock in 15 minutes.

"It's done. Now, get me some water to take a shower."

Megan immediately nodded and went inside the bathroom to prepare the water, while Rolize followed her from behind.

Not felt, the day has changed with night. It appears that all the Rolize family are already in the mansion, including Jean's husband who has just returned from an overseas business.

Megan who had started to get along with the servants did not hesitate to help prepare the dinner, making the butler smile at her sight.

"I've spent a lot of time with him, Buk Rose. So now, I want to spend some time with you guys."

Buk Rose could say nothing more. If he could, he was eager to drag the woman out of the kitchen before the noble king saw her.

"What are you doing here?

Deg.

Everyone suddenly stiffened when they heard Rolize's voice, they all lowered their heads in fear of the trembling bodies upon hearing the footsteps of their approaching young master.

"Darling, are you hungry?"

Some of the servants including Buk Rose were very surprised to hear Megan's call to Rolize, but they remained lowered in fear and did not dare to look at the man.

"What are you doing?" rolize asked back, then she glanced towards Buk Rose who was beside Megan.

"I'm helping to prepare a meal"

"Are you marrying me to help with the servants' work?"

Glug.

Rolize's voice sounded very cold and piercing, making Megan's body tremble in fear.

"Of course not, honey. But, but I'd like to serve you food and drinks, my husband. Is that what a wife's job is?" megan said with a big smile.

"The job of a wife?" rolize asked with a slanted smile.

"Of course I am, honey. The duty of a wife serves all the needs of her husband, including food and drink. So, I just want to serve you."

Rolize smiled faintly at the wise words Megan said. "alright. So you want to serve your husband?"

Megan nodded her head to answer Rolize's question, while the servants who were still in the room immediately left because they were chased away by the man's hand.

"Call everyone to dinner together, for I can't wait to be served by my wife" Rolize's order, which Buk Rose immediately agreed with.

Rolize then went to sit on the dining chair while telling Megan to sit next to him, the woman immediately sat there with a sweet smile.

"Alright, wife. I can't wait for your service." Rolize looked at Megan with a slanted smile making the woman awkward.

"Te-of course. I will serve you well and rightly,"

"Good." Rolize nodded his head as he continued to stare towards the wife.

Megan then fell silent in her place with a feeling of uneasiness, for some reason she felt like something was going to happen tonight. "Why am I so nervous like this?"
