SULIVANS
Memories

"This footage?"

A thin mustachioed man stroked his chin slowly, noticing the video footage being played before him.

Low-resolution video he got from the complainant.

Amateur footage is the most accurate evidence to prove the victim's alibi and reveal the motive.

"Yes right, that one. Please copy it to this flash."

He then went out and spoke with his two colleagues before the officer called him back in to watch another recording.

"Mother should see this."

The officer played a video in the form of a recording of a witness examination conducted yesterday.

Examination witness named Aditya Aryo who is a friend of the victim.

The middle-aged man in charge of solving the case stared fixedly at the accelerated recording in the twelfth minute.

"You ever befriended a perp?"

"Yes. Bi was a close friend of mine at Junior High."

Make it closer to the screen in front of him as soon as the ear captures important information.

"Why aren't you friends with him anymore?"

"...because I don't like her behavior with Han."

"Han? Who's that?"

"Our friends with leukemia. We are three close friends since entering Junior High. He died in second grade."

The silence that occurred on the recording rippled in encompassing this four-by-four square meter room.

Make both spectators hold their breath.

"Han has always been against Bi's desire to be a biker gang delinquent."

The investigator linked his eyebrows as soon as he heard the sentence spoken from the screen in front of him.

"That's why the two of them had a big fight until Han got sick."

The pain is implied in the eyewitness's gaze leading to the table.

"Not once did Bi visit him until Han died."

"When we came to his funeral, we both talked."

"I asked him why he never saw Han until the last second."

"Bi answered Han was no longer his friend because it was blocking his dreams. He said he didn't need a friend who was sick and died easily."

The investigator held his breath hearing that shocking sentence.

His hand suddenly moved to pause the recording, then told the officer to copy it as well.

He then sat in one of the empty seats to wait for a copy of the video to be completed, laughing at the shocking words of the perpetrator who kept ringing in his head.

Thinking about the possibility of the perpetrator getting a psychiatric examination after this video was submitted to his superiors.

He came out with a troubled mind before a familiar voice could be heard greeting him.

"The investigator! Wiiih's dizzy again, huh?"

Is the witness father who happens to be known for the frequency of meetings in their past.

"Just like Mr. Boss!"

They shook hands and asked for news, leaving the witness staring at his father flat.

It was Sena who was grumpy looking at the father who seemed comfortable talking in the crowd of the police station hallway.

This is why he does not like being escorted by his father, because wherever they go he always meets his friends and chat as much as possible.

From the gesture of his body and the sound of his laughter, it is certain that he must be patient for a few more minutes to wait for the father to finish talking.

To kill time all along, he sat himself on a nearby bench and turned on his phone.

Open a gallery and look around for photos of Rara, Rere's toddler sister playing to her house to replace their plan of cancellation a week ago.

They visited yesterday morning, with her mother's warm welcome making them mochi daifuku.

Snacks that he likes lately in the form of mochi contain fruits.

Rara ate three mochi voraciously, making her mother tell her to wrap the rest up to eat at home.

The hair that was dyed in two with her puffed cheeks looked so adorable.

Her smile of cherry radiated from behind the photo, making Sena smile looking at the results of her shots.

Until his finger shifted the photo in the form of paper containing the floor plan of the school area neatly drawn by Zalva.

The paper became the permanent occupant of his backpack until now.

He sent the image via whatsapp to Zalva.

He still sent it even though the series of messages yesterday was still marked tick one.

As a result of the controversial incident yesterday, Monday morning greeted him with a letter of resignation Zalva which became the hottest lip in his class.

The Saturday morning incident in the back garden went viral in their city, although none of the articles and mass media mentioned exactly the name of the school and the names of the people involved.

The incident even had a code in their school to trick teachers who forbid to mention anything about the incident.

They called it Historic Day.

After school, the homeroom teacher called him and stated that from tomorrow he was moving to the next class, two-by-two.

Although he was worried about having to re-acquaint himself with new people, at least it was better than feeling foreign alone in his old class.

On her first day in the new class, Sena was grateful to be given a class with a warmer atmosphere.

They are more curious about the timing of their athletes' time and the underlying background ending up in a regular class.

The pat on his shoulder awakened Sena to put her phone back in her pants pocket and then stand up to greet her father's friend.

"This is Mr. Didi. He's the one taking care of the case, Dad's acquaintance."

Mr. Didi laughed at the sentence and replied to it.

"Ha ha ha... Do you know where we know you from?"

Which then gave rise to a wondering frown on Sena's forehead.

"Your father used to be so reckless that he dealt with the police many times.."

The two of them then laughed with typical laughter of the fathers that made everyone in the hall turn their heads.

Makes Sena feel embarrassed even if she doesn't.

The father then told him to go out first and wait for him on the park bench, while his father would go pick up a motorbike that was in the workshop near the office.

Before stepping, he was surprised by Mr. Didi who said slowly to him.

"Your father was also the leader of the gang, just like your friend."

Making Sena spend her journey to the bench by denying the facts she just knew.

His father who was too obedient to the rules of the road and traffic signs was a gang leader?

Though only going across the highway to enter Indomart only he had to wear a helmet; the distance is only two hundred meters from the house.

Moreover, the monotonous way of driving is anti-abortion even though two minutes longer the school gate is closed.

Of all the behavior, of course Sena did not believe the astonishing sentence of Mr. Didi just now.

He wanted to ask his mother once he got home.

One minute later, he met Tera and Rio who were also coming out of the same hallway.

They sat down to track him after a short greeting and then talked about their situation.

Tera said her hospitalization began next week, at the same hospital as her.

Rio's stomach that was kicked to the point of fainting had improved a long time ago, precisely since Monday night.

But because he had been given a three-day dispensation, he used the opportunity to have fun with Tera.

They even went with Doki on the train to the next town to visit the rides on Tuesday.

Makes him want to visit there also with Rere to hear their stories of excitement.

"Zalva not invited?"

Sena's spontaneous question made the two fall silent and look at each other.

"Whatsapp tick one."

Sena nodded her head.

"Oh... My message yesterday also ticked one."

Tera scratched at her non-itchy nape, deciding whether or not she would share the information they had just received from Zalva's father.

"Emm, actually..."

Rio looked at Tera who looked hesitantly saying so.

"Zalva leaves for Australia today."

Rio said the sentence replaced Tera who kept going back and forth so as to make the tip of her tongue itch to pull out the sentence that had been stored behind it.

That sentence was about to be said to Sena.

"Yes. He asked to transfer schools there."

Sena nodded her head again, understanding the reason her messages were left untouched.

Zalva may have thrown away his old number considering he was going to school outside.

Also throw away his memories during school here.

I don't know why his heart was so tight to hear that sentence.

The sound of horn and exhaust swirling shifted their focus on the bright blue-bodied sport bike in front of them.

Makes Tera and Rio amazed by the machinel sound.

Let alone seeing the pitch-gray full-face helmet open before them, which displayed Sena's bright smile.

They both exclaimed happily and stood closer, about to observe the cool bike up close.

The only one with a flat face was Sena.

He wore a black and white helmet with his panda while rethinking the words of Mr. Didi that he had forgotten once he saw a strong evidence that he had never realized.

The favorite motorbike of the father was said to be his motorcycle since he was young.

All of its outer body was replaced with newer models, with the engine remaining the same.

He even knows his father's sunmori friends who often stop by the house.

In that doubt, a message appeared vibrating his phone.

Make Sena grab her pocket and unlock the screen.

A message from his mother who wants to leave a number of groceries if they have not returned home.

Before locking his screen, his eyes were fixed on the part of his conversation with Zalva that looked to have already ticked two blue.

Making his blood rustle violently shook his heart.
