Strange Writing
01. Shadow

It seems like I was dreaming, maybe I was dead even though as I remember my body was lying on my bed tonight. It should have been a dream, I couldn't have done what I wanted because the current was too strong, and it shouldn't have been like this.

I was standing in a large, white place that was not bounded. I've been going around the truth, looking around for things that might tell me where I am.

When I pressed my chest, there was no heartbeat, no movement of the lungs taking in oxygen and expelling carbon dioxide.

So, am I really dead?

Very amusing. I haven't even been 20 years. Of course I haven't produced anything in the world either. But, thankfully, I felt no pain. I thought that with the group of sins that I thought were many, I would be in pain before dying. Hm, it doesn't make sense.

“Welcome.”

I tiptoed as a cold voice pierced through my hearing, somehow it sounded strong even though it was whispering. I found the source of the voice behind me.

Just a few steps away from me, a grown man sat on a throne carved into the head of a lion at the end of its handle.

Why is someone else suddenly here?

“Who?” I tried asking him.

The man had eyes as clear as the sky with a shining face. I looked up and found no light source that might reflect it on the face.

He smiled broadly. ”Shadows. How are you doing?”

I felt my forehead pucker. “Entahlah. I'm not breathing, but I'm alive. Who are you?”

His two hands that were on the seat handle moved together and were placed in front of his mouth, both elbows were still pressing the seat handle. “Shadows. I've been waiting for you for a long time. Are you ready?”

“Ready? For what?”

“Change the world.” He tilted his head a little. “You don't know about this?”

I am more confused by his words. Even so, I shook my head slowly. “Where is this? Am I dead?”

He watched me for a moment before opening his voice, “You shouldn't have come if you weren't ready. It's dangerous.”

“You didn't answer me.”

He extended his hand. “Come.”

I was a little wary, glanced around again and still found nothing. “Why should I go there? I don't know you.”

His friendly smile disappeared, my surroundings turned cold instantly, giving me goosebumps and fear. Whatisthis? Did he do it? I stepped back subconsciously, this time her blue eyes glittered with dislike. I freaked.

His hand was still stretched out, his fingers moving along with the words issued by him. “Come, Darling.”

I wanted to run away, but my feet stepped towards him. What's he doing?! I can't control my body.

Nah! This guy's scary. Where am I actually? I can't even make a sound.

When he was standing at his feet, he touched the side of my face. His eyes keep looking at me. “Don't let me repeat my words. That's enough and you have to understand.”

His fingers went down to flank my chin. “I'll give you my powers tonight. So, you have to be ready, after that you'll know what to do. Understand?”

I still can't control my body, my head nods.

“Good.”

Then, unable to resist, he attacked me.

I took a deep breath at once by opening my eyes, my breath hunting while my head was beating. One thing that made me relieved, it was just a dream because I was still on my bed now.

Or is it not a dream?

I held my head while lightly kneading it, hoping that this headache would soon disappear. As I glanced around, I realized something had happened to my sight, to my hearing, to my body.

I feel like I can do anything now.
