Star 5 - The Return of the Arcanum

"Those who have been defeated, flee into a city. There they found people who were unaware of the coming of a storm, " (Lumina 1:4).

Meanwhile in the City of Arcabellum, a city located in the Northern part of the Kingdom of Tremora which is directly adjacent to the Forest Sura, Kingdom of Odissieia, The Third Division of the Kingdom of Tremora named Arcanum has returned from their mission along with several survivors from the Kingdom of Odissia.

"Third Division, Arcanum has returned!" exclaimed one of the guards above the fortress to the gatekeeper below. The guards at the gate rushed to open the door for them.

"Altia, immediately order to tighten security. Don't let your guard down" said Arcanum's leader, Major Zero Gravs, on his horse.

"Ready, carry out! Major Zero" said Altia Ursula, riding her horse to the right of Major Zero Gravs.

"Then you, Leon Resurgam! I order you to hurry to the Governor of the Vestigia Terrent and ask him to write a letter to King Tremora that the Devourian Empire battalion is preparing for an attack towards the City of Arcabellum" Major Zero exclaimed.

"Come, Major!" Leon salutes Major Zero and drives his horse to the Vestigia Governor's residence.

Then Major Zero took all the survivors to the medical ward to be treated and examined for their health.

Arriving at the ward, a healing magician welcomes Major Zero, "Major Zero, has not seen you for a long time."

"Mrs Luxia Hereborn, as I'm doing well, I would like to ask your help to examine and heal some survivors from the Kingdom of Odissia who survived" said Major Zero.

"It's an honor for me, Major Zero. Please let them in, me and the other nurses will check on them immediately," Ms. Luxia replied.

One by one the survivors entered the ward. Lady Luxia was shocked when she saw one of the girls she knew, "Lovina Freya!".

The girl named Lovina turned to Lady Luxia, "Aunt Luxia!" he ran and hugged Mrs Luxia tightly while crying.

"Why did you get here? Where are your parents? I haven't seen them in a long time" Luxia said, replying to Lovina's embrace and stroking her long hair.

"Me-they have been killed while protecting me from the attack of the Devourian Empire" Lovina said. "Well! There's no way that's happening! I'm so sorry to hear that. Your mother was my best friend when she was living in this city. But ever since he married your father, he followed your father to live in the City of Cresensia, Kingdom of Odissia," Lady Luxia kissed the top of the girl's head.

"Then Auntie allowed it?" ask Lovina again. "What can be done, he is like his late father who is always strong in his stance," replied Mrs Luxia with a face that looked slightly pensive. Lovina smiled and said, "But she inherited your beauty, Bi." Lady Luxia became blushed in embarrassment with Lovina's speech. They continued the conversation.

While at the residence of the Governor of Vestigia, Leon was conveying the message he had received from Major Zero.

"I beg you to write a letter to the king to immediately send reinforcements to guard the border" Leon said.

"Alright, I will write it down" said the Governor of Vestigia as his hand picked up a feather dipped in black ink.

"I didn't think it would be so soon that the Kingdom of Odissieia was destroyed at the hands of the Devourian Empire" he added. Leon was bowed while sighing after hearing the words of the Governor of Vestigia.

"Here, I've written a letter at your request. One or two more days this letter will arrive in the kingdom. I'll ask Theodore, my personal reporter to deliver this letter. Now go for your rest" the Governor of Vestigia put a stamp at the foot of the letter.

"Thank you Governor of Vestigia. Then I say goodbye to return to my house," Leon stood up from his seat and shook hands with the Governor of Vestigia.

Amidst his journey back home, Leon accidentally crosses paths with Altia. "Have you met the governor?" altia asked as she stopped her footsteps. Leon nodded his head as he sighed, "Are you sure we can defend this city?" ask Leon to Altia. Seeing Leon being pessimistic, Altia became smiling. "You're not the kind of Leon I know, you're usually so optimistic and smart."

Leon's rarely smiling face, now seemed a little smiling at the words of Altia. "Let's go to the restaurant over there, I hear the roasted chicken is pretty good," Altia asked. Leon nodded his head as he said, "Alright, I'm the one who's buying this time."

Meanwhile, Major Zero returned to his residence. He was welcomed by his wife and three children in the yard. "Dad!" his 4-year-old daughter cried while running. "My husband, you're finally back safely. Are you hurt?" ask wife. Major Zero carried his little daughter and answered his wife's question, "Just a scratch, nothing."

They entered the house with a grateful and joyful heart.

Elsewhere, within the Sura Forest, several Surveillance Forces from the Devourian Empire were on a chase to capture the remains of survivors who had managed to escape the Kingdom of Odissieia.

"Lienan Haeger, we found some footprints over there. It seemed like they had not been on that road for long," one of the scout soldiers pointed towards the right.

"Hem, it seems like they have arrived in Arcabellum City, Kingdom of Tremora," Lieutenant Haeger said.

"It looks like that, lieutenant," said the soldier.

"Well, we'll all go back and report to General Zhang!" exclaimed Lieutenant Haeger. They left the Sura Forest and returned to the Kingdom of Odissia.
