Johan laughed at Melinda's startled reaction. "Kanda ah."
Melinda breathed a sigh of relief. He thought Johan really liked him, because since long ago he only considered Johan as his friend, nothing more.
After that conversation, Melinda and Johan were at a distance. Actually it's not Johan who keeps his distance, but Melinda. Somehow he felt uncomfortable when near Johan.
But it did not last long, as Johan continued to approach Melinda. Because Melinda was also lonely left by Candra, she tried to ignore the discomfort.
Like that day, Melinda and Johan were sitting together near a flowering guava tree. They told me about school and many more until it did not feel the time passed and afternoon dear. Melinda immediately returned to the bathroom to take a shower and prepared to welcome Candra.
"Mas" called Melinda when she saw Candra coming into the room.
"Eh, has your deck been bathing?" ask Candra when she sees her wife still wearing a towel on her head. Strange question indeed, because without him asked already knew that Melinda had just taken a shower.
"Just finished, Mas Candra, why is the clock coming home?" Melinda helps her husband take off his suit and tie.
"The same with my wife." Candra smile. "I take a shower, yeah." He took a towel and went into the bathroom.
Melinda waited for her husband while drying her hair, she also applied a thin powder to her face to look fresh.
Soon after, Candra came out. Melinda massaged her shoulders as the man sat on the chair and relaxed.
"Where's the job, Mom?" melinda asked Candra who immediately got a hug from the man.
"Capek, Deck. It'll get some spirit first." He closed his eyes while hugging Melinda tightly. "I'm sure I'll get my spirit back again."
Melinda smiled. "Udah gede still spoiled ish."
"Marijuana equals own wife what's wrong anyway?"
"There's nothing, Mas. Just strange, lately you are often spoiled. It's not usually that."
"Hem time anyway? You're not usually either, so it's getting pretty."
Melinda laughs. "That's a hell of a monster. I've been talking to Johan all day, Mas. I was so bad at school he liked to know girls!"
Candra smile. "Your style too?"
"Never. I was also surprised, so I asked, why was I never tempted in school, you know what the answer was?"
Candra shook her head.
"Says I'm fierce, so he's lazy to seduce me. But I am not all that, Mom. Only if the same person who just pleasantries is not important is that I'm cute."
Candra is still listening to Melinda's story.
"So that Johan once shot a girl, well rejected, now I know who the girl he shot first. I mean, my friend."
Candra has not yet reacted.
"Now Johan is whiter and more dashing than ever. Ordinary, right? If there's money, the appearance can change."
Candra is getting uncomfortable, what else Melinda talked about Johan and Johan continues. He was still trying to be quiet, although he wanted to cut off Melinda's words or at least shift the conversation so that the topic was not Johan anymore.
"Now he doesn't like zombies he said. But time can change that, huh? If you initially like zombies, you will still get old and love zombies, right?"
"Why, Mom? You don't like Johan?" melinda asked in confusion.
"Not that I don't like, Dek. But it's not good that you're with your husband and you're talking about another man."
"But Johan was my friend from school, Mas. You're jealous of her."
"Who wouldn't be jealous if every day you always talk about Johan and Johan. I have to be ordinary, it's impossible."
"But there's no need but jealousy, Mom. You look really jealous, afraid that Johan will feel uncomfortable in this house, you know."
"Kok you think instead of Johan's comfort, Dek is not your own husband? Don't you like Johan? You love her?"
"Astaghfirullah's. I don't like him, Mom. I don't like him at all."
Canda stood up from the chair. "As much as you do, I don't know the same way of thinking anymore." He left Melinda and came out of his room.
Melinda held onto her chest looking at Candra's strange change in attitude. Even though he did nothing, the story was ordinary, only about Johan who used to like being a tombal. The problem is where?
Cici who accidentally heard the husband and wife quarrel immediately ran away as soon as the sound of steps approached the door. He was hiding and waiting for who would come out.
Candra turns. Cici followed Candra's wide steps. "Mas!" call him.
Candra turned her head and looked at Cici. "What's wrong?" ask her still holding back her annoyance.
"Why the hell is that weird? I'm just calling you, I'm mad at you." Cici pretended to be sad.
Candra sighed many times. "I'm not mad at you, Ci. Just the same with Melinda," he said.
Cici held a smile. "Why order? What's Melinda's mom doing, Mom?" tanyakanya.
Candra continued her steps, Cici followed the man while looking for ideas to take advantage of this opportunity. They sit in front of the house, on the terrace that is often used by Rosa to chat with her friends if they come.
"Melinda these days has been telling stories about the new gardener. I don't care if they're close, just don't always have to tell, right? Where's the news about that - that's it again." Candra begins her story.
"Oh, but usually they're close anyway, Mas. So it's only natural that Ms. Melinda talks about Johan a lot, right?"
"Huh, they close?" Candra's getting restless.
Cici nodded. "Every day they spend time chatting while joking."
"Did you, Ci?"
"Really, Mas. When I lied anyway? I take care of Mama every day, so know how the two of them are." Cici's plan seems to be working, he must make Candra hate Melinda and if she can be divorced.
Hearing what Cici said, Candra felt suspicious. Lately Melinda often talk about Johan, it turns out they have a secret relationship behind.
"Mas Candra if you can't believe tomorrow go and go home in the afternoon but secretly, surely see they're alone. Try it if you don't believe it, Mom."
Candra started thinking about what Cici said.
"Sometimes they went into the room together too, Mas. But I don't know, yeah, yeah they do. Maybe Melinda's asking for help that I don't understand either."
"Aren't you lying, are you saying that?" candra asked with emotion.
