Solo Clear Chapter 33

We managed to take back the base.

To leave this place, we had to take one more base.

However, I was in no hurry to do so and decided to take the time to make a plan.

After taking back the two bases, the Elves were discouraged.

Despite a few days pa.s.sed, there were some minor battles.

The reason why they avoided all-out war was because their nation became afraid because of the strong warriors.

The Orcs needed time to reorganize so they did not plan to partake in the big battle.

Therefore, I can rest.

"Good look."

At dawn, when I greet the clear sky, I ride a gray wolf and head out.

Mr. Kalax is right next to me.

"How are you feeling?"

Kalax carefully asked how I was feeling, but his expression seemed gloomier than mine.

The brave Orcs must have been surprised by what they saw before because they were all looking at me.

Before going to war, all the Orcs looked at me respectfully, but after taking back the last base, they were filled with fear.

After that day, the Orcs who approached me to shake my hand no longer came.

"Are you asking because I killed my own kind?"

When I asked calmly, Mr. Kalax hid his surprised expression by turning his head.

"…Rubber."

"We call this place the stage. The stage is divided into many levels and is not limited to just this place. Down here, there are at least four stages."

"This is the first time I've heard this."

I'm sure I'm not the first to support the Orcs, but Mr. Kalax seems to have heard it for the first time.

"It's up to the person whether they want to enter the stage or not. No one forced them."

There have been cases where people were first sucked in, but now it is different.

Those who have listened to the experience of the survivors will enter instead of someone forcing them.

However, there is a big difference between the stage and the games and novels that many people already know.

"I believe that the people who come to this place are determined. That includes their lives as well."

"I've seen humans kill other humans before. However, I think what you're going through is on a different level."

It seemed like he was speaking calmly, but his voice trembled.

I suspected if he was really the head of the powerful Orcs, but I decided not to question him.

"I saw it."

Even though we left early in the morning, the sun was already high by the time we arrived at our destination.

When we arrived at the temple that Lord Kalax had promised to take me, I got off the saddle I was sitting in.

The temple was as white as snow and it was created by a master, so it was beautifully designed. It must be something that cannot be seen in the real world.

It was an artistic building and I was so fascinated by it that I touched a smooth surface for a long time.

"I didn't know Orcs had such delicate skills."

It could sound like an insult, but Mr. Kalax did not reply and looked like he agreed.

Click, clack, click, clack.

Orcs dressed in white robes appeared at the entrance while holding spears larger than them.

"We heard you came !!"

They greeted him on their knees and showed respect.

Even though I was standing next to him, they were still keeping themselves.

"He's guest. Please treat him with respect."

"Back to your station."

Since he was the head of the Orcs, they had to get rid of their doubts even if they were unwilling.

While walking through the entrance, I saw them bow their heads and wonder if this was like having power.

"It seems like everyone feels uncomfortable around you."

"It comes with territory."

He carried many things on his shoulders and it was a position I could not understand.

Since I have never had a chance to lead, I cannot sympathize either.

"Isn't that burdensome? I don't really like positions like that."

"Ha ha ha."

Master Kalax had a serious expression, but a smile appeared.

"There were times where I wanted to hand this position over to someone else, but it was useful despite the hard work. That could be fun too."

"…Can I ask you something?"

"Related."

"In the world before this, I met an old witch and she told me that I would be a hero. But, I'm not really interested in those things. In other words, I don't really want to risk my life for the world."

Master Kalax stopped walking and sat down at the fountain inside the temple.

He grabbed his chin and looked like he was thinking deeply about something.

"I am also an ordinary clan leader like Hocrim and Orkhar. However, the previous head disappeared. We had to choose a successor and by following tradition, the clan leaders fought amongst themselves and chose the head. I won and my clan celebrated for a whole week. As an Orc, I think this is the highest honor. However, it is very different. "

I was fascinated by the story, so I ended up sitting next to him.

What would happen if the other clan leaders heard this?

Some leaders may volunteer to replace them with open arms.

No one cared about the mental pressure that Master Kalax was experiencing.

"Cruel events happen without any warning. Those moments are what you call reality. I've been the head, but it can't be considered the right thing. In the end, I regretted it. Does that help?"

"That's very helpful."

The Great Spirit and the Oracle told me that reality was coming to an end.

I don't want to think about it, but those words remain in My mind and make Me miserable.

I want to tell someone about what I feel and I think it's a good option to talk about it with Master Kalax.

"Let's go in."

We walked back to the temple.

In the temple, there are many believers who look up to Me, but no one tries to speak to Me.

"This is the G.o.d we serve."

The sunlight shining on the gla-stained window.s.s illuminated the statue excitedly.

A thick robe covered her body, so I couldn't see her face.

All I can do is say that it is an angel because there is a pair of wings attached to its back.

"That's not an Orc, is it?"

"That's right. This is Krosus and they are the creators of this world."

"… Mr. Kalax, do you know about the whereabouts of the Manager?"

It's stilts.

All the stages are worlds created by the Manager and I think maybe the statue is one of the Managers.

"Manager? Never heard of it."

Mr. Kalax shook his head.

It seems he really doesn't know.

I'm more interested in the Manager who created this stage than the enemy who will attack a few years from now.

The stage was made so that humans would compete with each other.

It was as if they were trying to choose the strongest.

They do not treat people well.

"It was only once, but I've met them."

I was so surprised that my mouth was wide open.

"Have you met them? I see."

"Once you become the head, you are allowed to meet them once."

"What do they look like?"

"….."

Master Kalax looked around and checked to make sure no one was around.

Even after he checked, he did not speak for a while and a frown appeared on his face.

It was as if he was worried about Krosus hearing their talk.

"It's nothing. Please forget what I said before."

Just from his expression, I could tell their meeting wasn't too good, so I didn't force him to answer.

Even though they are creators, they may not behave that way.

The 13th manager he met was also the same.

"Is there anything else I need to see?"

"No. If you see this statue inside the temple, you have explored 90% of the temple."

He thought he would get some information about the Manager, but it ended up being a waste.

He breathed a disappointed breath.

"I'm sorry. I dragged you here for no reason."

"It's okay. That's what I want."

"What if we go back?"

"Looking at the map, it looks like Ericsson isn't far from here. I want to meet Azera there."

"Is it to meet the spirit?"

I'm nodding.

"Then, there's a better method than meeting with Azera."

"Mode?"

"Not too far from here, there is a place they call the Spirit Plateau. The great spirit is there. It was also the homeland of all the witches. If you go there, you will be able to meet the magicians who are practicing. "

The mana amount is very good, but I still lack the skills to control it.

As of now, I have two skills that require Me to use mana.

If I learn magic, then I will be able to use various skills, which makes Me have high expectations.

"I really want to go. Can you take me there?"

"Of course."

With an excited expression, I followed behind the wolf she was riding.
