"PLEASE! AKHH!"
The sound of screaming from outside the house made Nur and his mother look back at each other. The Word goes to check out and see who is asking for help.
"Astaghfiullah!" Exclaim the Word while running in the house. Nur who followed behind Firman seemed to round his eyes to see Bu Nita holding a rope in his neck while running. The screams for help from him getting weaker and weaker, the residents who were reluctant to come out seemed to turn on their own porch lights and follow after Nita who was still trying to fight the rope that dragged her.
Hap!
Word could catch up and catch Bu Nita's waist, the woman's voice was already raucous because it was too loud to scream. A pulling occurs between the Word and the rope as if pulled as well, but no one sees who pulled it.
The chasing fathers took pains to untie the rope from the woman's neck, while the others pulled the other part of the rope so as not to further strangle Bu Nita's neck. With the help of the rope fathers who tied the neck of Bu Nita can be released as well, while the rope flew and disappeared somewhere.
Sahrul the husband of Bu Nita immediately lifted his wife's body into the house, the mothers returned to their homes while the Word and other fathers decreed the night at Mr. Sahrul's house tonight. Ijah and Nur also participated there, they were still afraid to be at home considering the incident had just been welcomed by Bu Nita who hung himself.
"What's going on Mr Sahrul?" The Word opens the sound of eliminating the silence of the night at the Sahrul residence. Five fathers who accompanied from that moment just silent while holding the back of each neck, they look worried and scared when in that house many people.
"After eating earlier he said he wanted to take the sandals left in front of the house, but did not come again after that. When he was about to meet her, he had already run with a rope tied around his neck." Mr. Sahrul looked gloomy with the incident that had just happened to his wife
"Thank you Word, if you didn't come, I don't know what happened to my wife." Sahrul held the hand of the Word with a face so lethargic and weak. If only the Word did not come, it is certain that other citizens will also be reluctant to pursue his wife. He couldn't think if he was the only one chasing his wife in the dark of the night.
"Together sir, it is our duty to help our fellow Muslims." Say Word
.
There was no dawn this morning, but all the fathers had woken up from this as well as Nur and Ijah. Nita was still lying weakly in her bed with her neck reddened and injured by the tightening of the rope.
Outside there was no visible sunlight illuminating, only dew lingering in their current surroundings. The cold air in the morning seemed to be bone-chilling, it was natural that their village area had highlands and often called residents with peaks. Many people outside the area who come to their village, either for a vacation, camping, or just visiting to find fresh air.
"Look, we pray at dawn in the mouth of the fathers." Say the Word after waking up from his sleep. Mr. Sahrul and the other five fathers just look at each other, they are reluctant to move from his seat to follow the Word that has gone out of the door of the house.
"Let's go with me too." Pinta Nur stood up and pulled her mother's arm, Ijah pulled back her hand and shook her head slowly. He did not want to go out because he was still afraid of dealing with that monstrous creature
"Well, Nur will go with the Word alone." Nur said stepping out of the Sahrul house, the fathers looked at each other again, they also wanted to come but were reluctant to step because of fear
"You go, I'm the only one here to look after Nita." Seru Ijah to the fathers.
Sahrul's speech was interrupted because it was directly struck by Ijah with a sharp tone
"You're gone, time lost to a newborn boy!" Ketus Ijah, he went behind Sahrul's house to take ablution
Finally, holding hands to the six fathers, they arrived in front of the surau. They no longer feel the cold air because it has been pouring sweat on the road to surau. They always hear strange sounds from the side of the road to the surau, not the sound of crickets or other night animals, but the sound of screams and cries that faintly sounded eardrums.
After all the fathers had taken ablution heard Iqamah was proclaimed by the Word from within the surau, they all rushed into the surau and wore their own sarongs.
Nur only prayed behind the curtain between men and women. Everyone has been praying fervently, right on the last rukukuk sound like a throw on the roof of the surau sound clear and quite loud make the fathers start to fidget as well as Nur.
He heard clearly the voice that hit the roof, just as the greetings he also heard the voice of the woman who answered from behind him and caught a glimpse as he also turned to the left during the last greeting. Nur was reluctant to look directly and returned to psyche with a chant of remembrance led by the Word from the front. He was washed away with the sweet voice of his childhood friend, his heart rhythmically in tune with every sentence the Word chanted.
"I'm Nur first..." A woman's voice spoke her name from behind. Nur immediately turned his sitting position and looked back. The woman in all white clothes was already standing on the doorstep while carrying a dull white face. The woman looked down and finally walked straight ahead without looking back
"Nur, where are you going?" Exclaim the Word that has stood behind the barrier. Nur's steps stopped, he was about to see and greet the woman who was praying with him earlier.
"That's, I was going to say the same woman. He brought the mosque." Nur approached and looked at the hanger of the face, his eyes immediately rounded to see the three faces hanging there were still intact and one of them he was wearing.
"Woman?" Ask the Word with the eyebrows linked
"Yes, he was praying."
"We don't see any women passing by Nur." Excited the fathers from the doorway behind Nur, apparently they were impatient to return home
"Right sir, Nur saw a woman. He also knows Nur's name." Nur still could not believe what the fathers were saying, he clearly heard the voice of the woman saying her name
"Had, maybe he got out of us sooner." Say Word
Nur and Firman walk together to Ijah's house, Nur offers breakfast at his house only. Remembering the Word only lives alone at home because both parents have long faced the creator.
"Why did you go home to the Word?" Nur asked when they had entered the house, while from the inside Ijah had begun to buy spices in the kitchen
