POV Davina
My eyes opened suddenly. As if I had just been forced to wake up from my long sleep. Both of my neutrals stared blankly, not even trying to simply recognize the environment I was in right now that was foreign to my own body.
My body is too weak to move my hands. I forced it with all the remaining energy left to rise from my sleep. My hand felt held back by something. Scroll with the tail of my eyes, because my head feels heavy to just turn my head. The infusion rope connected to my veins had been restraining my movement. That's when I realized I was in the hospital.
"Infusion? Since when am I in the hospital?" muttered to myself.
I tried my hardest, to gather one by one my memories of the cause of my existence in this hospital. The more I forcefully remember, the more my headache felt like I had just been hit by a hard object.
"Are you awake, honey?" the voice of someone I know very well. These few months have been present in my life. I hurried to look at him, for some reason hearing his voice made my energy as if it was gathering again.
From the direction of the door, Harris came in a suit of cocoa and peci attached to his head. It looks like he finished praying, but I don't know what time it is. His face looked so worried and so tired. There were dark circles around her eyes like Harris had been sleep deprived for days.
Harris approached the bed where I was lying at the moment. For the sake of welcoming him, I also tried to get up to be able to sit even though my head felt heavy which was very torturous.
"Aww," my ringis when I feel pain in my abdomen.
Getting me in pain, Harris swiftly helped me.
"Lay, Davina. The wound on your stomach hasn't dried up yet" he said frantically reminding me.
However, I did not heed his words. I kept trying to sit down. Maybe Harris forgot, if I had a very stubborn character.
"I want to sit down, Harris." I stared back at him sharply. After all, lying down makes me very bored.
Harris was seen sighing, "Alright, I lost. If you feel tired, tell me." Harris helped me to sit up, holding my body with a pillow on my back, so I could be more comfortable leaning back.
I stared at his pure white face and also the blackened circumference of his eyes. I feel guilty about him, because I'm sure he lost a lot of sleep.
Harris looked at me inside, her thumb and index finger working together to justify the haircut that attacked my face. Put it behind my ear, then gently stroke my cheek. His gaze was fixed on a single point on my cheek, his face suddenly looked sad.
I hurried to touch my cheek to find out the reason for the sudden change in look on his face. My two eyes fiddled quickly, as I felt gauze clinging to my cheek. It was then that I remembered everything that had happened, to the reason of the injuries in some parts of my body. It was as if my memory was wide open. Showing the story I just experienced.
"Bella.." I said softly together with tears that began to drip. I didn't expect myself, a Bella could do such a cruel thing to me. Doesn't she have any compassion for me, at least for a fellow woman.
Seeing me cry, Harris panicked. Then he pulled me into his arms to calm me down.
"Calm down, baby. Bella's been taken to the police station. Now you're safe here" he said, wiping the top of my head.
"I'm scared, Harris. What if he comes back here? What if they really kill me."
I'm really scared right now. I hugged her very tightly, for some reason I felt very comfortable in her arms.
"Aa, I'm so scared, Harr, Mississ." I said brickly because of a whim.
Harris grabbed both of my cheeks and cupped them with both hands.
"Calm down, you're safe. I'm Harris, your husband won't let anyone hurt you one bit. But sorry, I've failed to take care of you before" he said looking down looking sad.
Seeing her sad, I tried to grab her hands. "It's not your fault or anyone else's. It is pure disaster, isn't it? It is precisely I who apologize to you because all this time, I have not been able to be a good wife for you. I always refute your words, I've always been stubborn and I..."
"Shuut, it's enough you go on next time. It's better that you rest now" he said.
Actually I was about to ask where the other family was. Because ever since I realized, I haven't seen any of them. But it seems Harris did not let me out for longer because I was still worried about my condition which was still a little weak.
I also obey him. Harris helped me lie down. I had not been able to lay my body perfectly, I heard the sound of the door opening and a greeting. It was Umi Khumaira and Abi Imran.
Chequek.
"Assalamualaikum" Khumaira and Imran said as they entered the room.
"Waalaikumsalam, Umi, Abi." I replied and Harris simultaneously.
Seeing it coming, I really felt very happy. I was surrounded by people who loved me very much. I tried to get back up, but was prevented by Umi Khumaira.
"Don't Davina. Lie down, do not let the stitches back open can be dangerous" he reminded me.
Very attentive, right? Who here wants to have a mother-in-law like Khumaira? Come ngaku.
"Eh, yes Umi." I replied with a smile, then went back to lying down.
"How are you, Davina. Is it better?" askinya.
"It still hurts in the abdomen, Umi. Shhttt." I said as I endured the slight creeping pain.
I only saw the debate between Father as well as the child caused by me. It was nice to see Harris being scolded by Abi. Because I rarely see things like this.
"Yes, Abi. He was told to rest with Harris. But, Davina's asking to be kissed,,"
I glared at my eyes, when did I say that? There was also no kissing session. I stared intently at Harris, how could he say that in front of the old man. Mampusses! They must have been thinking negative things about me.
Well, even though we're legal and religious. Still, saying vulgar things in front of an older person feels ambiguous.
"That's normal, Harris. It used to be that your Umi was very spoiled for Abi. For the whole day we were in the room. As a couple, spoiling is needed so that the household life becomes more harmonious." said Abi Imran. Harris appears to have taken abi's advice. I try to digest every word.
All day in the room? They don't get bored. I'm just in the house for a little while already very bored. What they did all that time. Really my brain is currently slowing down a little to digest every word they say. Maybe because my head was hit by a collision when Bella was tortured.
"A day in the room?" I said unconsciously. I grimace my lips that say that. Why slip.
Abi and Umi's expressions changed slightly when they heard my words.
"Wait a minute, Harris don't tell me you've never been." Abi Imran's words were immediately cut by Harris.
"Shuttt, Abi. Don't talk about something like that in the hospital. Shame to hear others." Harris switched the conversation.
"Hm, okay. But remember Abi's message with Umi. Give us a grandchild soon because not only Abi is waiting for that. But the Davina family is also waiting for news of Davina's pregnancy to reach their ears" said Abi Imran, whispering slightly to Harris. But it can still be heard by me.
"Goddessa, Abi. Just pray Harris succeeds." said Harris smiling.
Whahuh? Why did he even support her. Ahhhh, how is this. Is Harris really gonna do that to me. But my body was still very limp, my wounds had not dried up either. Stoppp's! Why did I think that anyway.
"Davina, why are you daydreaming?" umi's voice resuscitated me.
"Eh, no Umi." I reply.
"Owh, yes Davina. Yuli tells Umi, that they can't see you yet. Because they said there was an impromptu show at home. You're not papa, are you?"
"Davina is not papa. Then there's Umi and Abi who ngejagain."
"Yes already, because the night is getting night Umi same Abi want to go home first yes, Davina. You take a lot of rest so that you heal quickly." he said and kissed me on the forehead. This is a new habit that Umi did to me. Obviously, I'm his only son-in-law.
"Let's say goodbye, Davina. Take care of health always." said Abi rubbed my head, I immediately nodded assent.
"Remember Abi's message, Harris" Imran said, patting Harris on the shoulder, saying he replied with a smile.
"Assalamualaikum," said Abi and Umi, then left the room leaving me and Harris.
"Waalaikumussalam." answered me and Harris simultaneously.
After the departure of the two of them, Harris approached my bed with an expression that was hard to decipher. Harris kept his face close to me, making me try to avoid. However, my weak condition left me unable to do anything about it.
"Harris," I said made him stop his activities.
Harris looked at me sharply, "Why, Davina?"
"What do you want, Harris!" I said a little bit of a fret. How not his face like it's not Harris.
"Didn't you remember the message, Abi?"
I remember, really remember. But I have to pretend I don't know.
"What message, instead of Abi telling me to take a break? If so, watch out. I'm going to sleep." I said, pulling the blanket up to my chest, but Harris stopped me from moving.
"Not that, are you pretending to forget. Abi told us to give grandchildren to them" he said with a grin.
"Eh, that. But I'm not ready, Harris. My body is still very limp." I reply as if.
Honestly, my heart is beating really fast. My heart rumbled erratically.
"Hm, then we wait until you're completely healed." I'm a little relieved.
"It's late, you better take a break."
Harris pulled the blanket higher up to my chest. I also started to close my eyes. Not long after, I felt someone kissing my forehead very gently.
"Good night, my wife."
