Shadow of Fear: Traces of Accident

Shadow of Fear: Traces of Accident
Chapter 2: The Mysterious Traces

The full moon illuminates the night sky, creating long shadows in the courtyard of Sarah and David's house. Although the moonlight tried to illuminate the darkness, but the atmosphere still felt tense. The presence of Luke they had felt before left an inexplicable strange feeling.

Sarah sat in the living room, staring out through the open window. He sensed something was calling out to him, like a soft voice heard from a distance. His eyes were fixed on the forest surrounding their home. The forest always looks scary, especially after the tragic events that occurred.

"But I can no longer let fear stop me" Sarah murmured to herself.

He felt that there was some kind of bond between Luke and the forest. He felt as if Luke wanted to tell him something, something that was inside the forest.

David came up to him and sat down beside him. She grabbed Sarah's hand gently. "What do you think, baby?"

Sarah looked at him with a thoughtful expression. "I felt Luke wanted me to go to that forest. I feel like there's something I need to find there."

David nodded in understanding, even though he felt a little worried. The forest had a dark and mysterious aura, and he did not want Sarah to be plunged into any other danger.

"Maybe we can go together tomorrow morning. I will always be by your side" David said with confidence.

Sarah smiled at him, feeling happy to have David's support. They both know that they must face the mysterious trail that lies before them, in order to reveal a secret that may have been long hidden.

The morning comes quickly, and Sarah and David prepare to go to the forest. They wear comfortable clothes and carry some of the equipment they may need. Before leaving, Sarah stood in front of a photo of Luke and spoke to him in a soft voice.

"We'll find out what you want to say, son. We will try our best" Sarah said with teary eyes.

David stood beside her and grabbed Sarah's hand. "We will restore calm to you, to Luke."

They walked towards the forest, their hearts filled with a mixture of tense and hopeful feelings. The forest felt even more mysterious as they entered it. The sound of the wind crossing the trees and the splashing of water from the small river created a natural but also tense atmosphere.

They walked slowly among the giant trees and shrubs. The footsteps of the animals and the sound of the rustling of the leaves made them wary. They looked for signs that Luke might have left behind.

Suddenly, they heard the sound of a child laughing cheerfully. Sarah and David were shocked and looked at each other. The voice sounded so real and close, but no small children were seen around them.

"You... You heard it too, right?" sarah asked in a trembling voice.

David nodded, his face full of disbelief. "But there can't be any children here. We both heard that, right?"

They continued on their way, trying to follow the sound of the laughter. The voice was getting closer, but they could not find the source. Suddenly, the voice disappeared just like that, leaving them in a daze.

"It's like a nightmare" Sarah sighed with a gasp of breath. "What the hell is going on?"

David grabbed Sarah's hand and looked her in the eye with determination. "We need to move forward, baby. We can't give up."

They continue to explore the forest, searching for any clues that might lead them to the mysterious trail Luke wants to find. The sunlight was getting dimmer, and the atmosphere was getting tense. They arrived at an open area, where there was a large rock that caught their attention.

On top of the stone, there were strange scratches that looked like signs. Sarah felt something familiar about the signs, as if she had seen them before.

"Look, David. What do you think about this?" sarah asked while pointing to the scratches.

David watched it closely. "I'm not sure, but this may have a special meaning. Do you feel connected to him?"

Sarah felt a calmness within her. "I feel like I've seen these signs. And I feel like there's a message Luke wants to give."

The two of them sat near the rock, pondering in their minds. Suddenly, the ground near them began to tremble and a light appeared from within the ground. The two of them were shocked and looked towards the light in admiration.

**"Thank you, Ma, Pa. You found my tracks. But there is a threat. You have to be careful."**

Sarah and David spoke in their minds. **"What should we do, Luke? How can we help you?"**

Luke's shadow shook gently. **"I can no longer speak more. But you have to follow this trail. I trust you guys."**

The light begins to fade, and Luke's shadow disappears. Sarah and David feel sad and confused, but they know they must follow the mysterious trail Luke has found.

They both stood up and looked around. They saw strange traces on the ground, forming patterns that led in directions they were not familiar with. There was no other choice, they had to follow this trail, to uncover the secret hidden behind it.

Sarah and David decide to follow the strange tracks they find on the ground. The two of them walked carefully, following the mysterious patterns that formed in front of them. Their every move was filled with enthusiasm and tension, not knowing what they would find at the end of this journey.

The trails take them deeper into the forest, where the trees are denser and the atmosphere is increasingly mysterious. The sunlight is getting dimmer, and the air feels cooler. They continued walking, tirelessly, driven by a determination to uncover the hidden secrets.

Suddenly, they arrived at a large tree that had roots towering into the sky. In front of the tree, there was a small pile of stones neatly arranged, creating a kind of natural altar. On top of the altar, there was a strange object that invited their curiosity.

Sarah and David walked over and observed the object closely. It was a beautiful silver medal, with strange symbols engraved on its surface. They felt there was something special about the medal, as if it was the key to uncovering the mysterious imprint they had discovered.

"It seems that this medal has significance" David said with admiration.

Sarah grabbed the medal and felt a strange vibe emanating from it. He feels there is magical power contained within it, something that might help them uncover Luke's secret.

"We have to take him with us. I feel like this is part of the lead that we have to follow" Sarah said as she kept the medal carefully.

They continued on their way, following the strange trails that grew brighter. The tracks lead them deeper into the forest, until they arrive at a dark and mysterious cave.

The two of them stood in front of the cave with mixed feelings. Sarah felt a little scared, but she knew she had to deal with it. They entered the cave carefully, while relying on the flashlight they were carrying.

Inside the cave, they saw other marks engraved on the walls. These symbols look similar to the ones on the silver medals they found before. They feel closer to the secret they seek.

Suddenly, a faint whispering voice rang out within the cave. Sarah and David looked at each other, feeling there was another presence there. The two of them continued on their way, following the increasingly powerful sound of the whisper.

They arrived at a room within the cave, where there was a stone altar inviting their astonishment. On top of the altar, there was a medal identical to the one they had found before. A faint light emanated from the medallion, creating a magical and mysterious atmosphere.

As Sarah and David approached the altar, the sound of whispers became clearer. They felt that the sound was coming from inside the medal itself. The voice sounded like Luke, as if he was talking to them from another world.

**"You have followed in my footsteps with determination and courage. Now, I'm gonna give you the last clue to uncovering this secret. Hold this medallion tight, and let the power within guide you."**

Sarah and David grabbed the medal and felt something strange was happening. They felt a magical power coursing through their bodies, creating a strong bond with the medallion. They feel like they are going through a spiritual journey, crossing the boundaries of time and space.

Suddenly, they were in a place that seemed to be an encounter with Luke. They both feel the presence of their child around them. A gentle light emanated from Luke, creating an atmosphere of love and peace.

**"Thank you, Ma, Pa. You have followed in my footsteps with determination and love. Now, you must return to your world with the knowledge you have acquired. Remember, love and strength are the keys to overcoming your fears and uncovering hidden secrets. I will always be with you, though invisible to the eye."**

The light grew dimmer, and Sarah and David felt themselves back into the cave. They felt stronger and closer to Luke than ever before. They know that with love and courage, they can overcome every obstacle that faces them.

They came out of the cave with hopeful hearts. They feel there is new courage growing within them, and they know that the mysterious trail they have followed is part of an unforgettable spiritual journey.
